How to print a list of Contacts in Windows Live Mail

I would like to print a list of my contacts in Windows Live Mail to be saved for any future problem, references, etc.  How can I print the list in its entirety?

Open Contacts and select all (Ctrl + A), then file | Print. But this will be use a lot of paper. To keep, open Contacts and file | Export | Choose the CSV format, then follow the prompts. Save it wherever you like and print from there.

  • How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail on XP

I searched for this answer for the last 2 hours.  All the answers are for Vista & Windows 7.   How to export my Windows Live Mail addresses so that I can use in Thunderbird?  I'm moving to Thunderbird because quick view is off & on display unread messages.  They watch for a few days, then stop broadcasting.  Then repeat for a few days, then stop again.  This is happening for more than a month because there was an update of the first part of the last month.
But back to my original question.  How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail.  When I click on the file to export and then export, there is nothing highlighted.   So, how can I get my contacts?  Or is there another way to do otherwise than through WLM >

    Thank you

This is happening for more than a month because there was an update of the first part of the last month.

There has been no update for WLMail 2009 since April 2010. Update do you think has affected your quick view?

How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail.

Open the contacts window by clicking the address book at the foot of the folders pane. On the file menu, click export , and then select comma separated (CSV) values. If you don't see the menu bar, press ALT.

Note that the last statement on the help page (Export contacts) is wrong: by dragging the window contacts contacts on the desktop doesn't create any kind of file. In version 12 and 15, this produces a vCard (.vcf) file for each contact, but not in the version 14 (WLMail) 2009.

Windows Live Mail has its own support at the Windows Live Solution Centerforums. Please address any other question you may have on one of the forums on the right side of this page. You are probably asked to give your version of WLMail and Windows so that the answer may be more accurate. In WLMail to find your version of the software, a press on ALT - H. If it doesn't show you the version and the build number, press on escape to two times, and then Alt - F B.

  • How can I export my Contacts from Windows Live Mail

How can I export my Contacts from Windows Live Mail to pop my ISP e-mail program?  And what is the file format?  Can they be exported to a csv file?

One of the options when you select export in the file menu and the Contacts folder open is "comma separated values (.)» (CSV).

    -Hope this helps.

  • How can I organize my contacts in Windows Live Mail

I am moving from XP Outlook Express for Windows 7 Windows Live Mail and I don't see any way to organize my contacts in different folders as I in OE. I have folders for different 'classes' of contacts - friends, parents, co-workers, etc. etc. When I send an email it almost always goes to a subset of one of these classes if I click on 'to', then select the analysis file it and drag the appropriate contacts "for", "cc" or "BCC". I need to see them all remind me which ones I want to sent to-I don't always have names at hand.

It seems that with WLM I have to browse ALL my contacts of 200 or more for every email! As you can imagine, this makes it practically unusable WLM. I know that I can create groups, but it is to send a message to ALL members of a group. I rarely do.

Please let me know if I'm wrong about this. If it's really as I've described, it appears as a problem and is being developed and there will be a solution in the coming months? If this isn't the case, I'll have to search for an another e-mail client.

Start by creating a category in contacts in Windows Live Mail:

    1. Press CTRL + SHIFT + C to open the Contacts .
    2. Click the arrow next to new , and then select the category .
    3. Select the contacts for this category, and click Save .

When you want to send a message:

    1. Opening of the Contacts .
    2. Click on the category.
    3. Hold down the CTRL key and click on who should receive the message.
    4. Right click on one of them, and then click Send Email .
