How to remove or uninstall pre-installed programs?

Compaq XP. I can't get into the D drive. There a padlock? I want to get rid of programs that I don't want the installation of the plant.

If I remember correctly, it's been a while since I've dealt with a Compaq machine, the drive is locked in case of system restore.  If you want to get rid of programs, why don't you just go to add/remove programs and uninstall it from there?  Nobody says you have to do a system restore or a factory restore.

  • How to remove administrator privileges in one program?

How to remove administrator privileges in one program?  I opened by mistake a program when he asked "do you want to run the program as administrator RHIs?

I did rspond in the positive, and I can't load the program with the pixelations and enlargements of the screen.  Other than these specific issues, the program works,

but it is too large, graphically, to work with.

    Hello

    1. What is the name of the program you have running with administrator privileges?

    2. what version of Windows are you using?

Example Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    3. What is the problem you are having with the program?

Note: Some basic features of programs manage and perform tasks that may affect the important system files, where the prompt to run as an administrator is displayed to confirm the action. However if you do not want to run the program in administrator mode, you will not be able to use the full functionality of the program.

Please follow the below link to remove

Administrator mode starting a specific program.

    a. right click on the shortcut for the program / locate the specific programs of the programs files .exe file. Choose Properties
    b. click on the Compatibility tab

    c. at the bottom uncheck the box "run this program as Administrator" under the privilege level

    d. click on apply and ok

Once this option is unchecked the program will work in administrator mode when every moment of execution.

  • How to remove the Web bar installed with update of Firefox?

When I updated Firefox with 38.0.1, he installed a HUGE Web Bar at the top of the page with the arrows that take me to odd pages, home takes me to what is called Trovi a huge search the web bar, a drop-down arrow with all installed browsers, an icon for facebook, a sign icon music and the arrow that takes me on You Tube. It is above the original web bar with file, editing, display, history, bookmarks, tools and help on this. How can I remove this? When I right click on it says Web Bar and when I click on everything he says Bar Media Web, Version 2.0 Build 5435.23818 (18/11/2014) and when I click the end user contract, I get a warning from McAfee as a dangerous site! What is going on?

A recent series of infections also falsified the Firefox program folder, if the above does not help, please try:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it is not about the deletion of your settings, it comes to ensure that program files are-own and contain no alien code files. As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (2) close Firefox (if applicable).

    (3) to rename the program folder

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    Any improvement?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

You can also check if Firefox has a no standard layout configuration. You can do so here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced > tab mini network > button "settings".

The default "use system proxy" should piggyback on your Windows/IE 'LAN' settings. But you can try 'No proxy' to see if that makes a difference.

I can't find any place to turn off the keyboard.  It is not in my list of pop-up windows.  It is not in my programs.  I don't know where to go to get rid of this thing.

Everything that I see that there are photos of different keyboards for different versions.

    But, thanks for the time!

Ok. For some reason you can't see the tutorial, here are the instructions...

Windows XP genuine advantage is provided for the computer you bought in 2002, you can not go to install on another computer.

If you need run Windows XP, I suggest that you upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, and then download and install free Windows Virtual PC with Windows XP mode.

Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click the option to purchase a key. Wait while loading of the Express Upgrade page, click on the Windows 7 Professional Upgrade to buy it.

Click Next, fill in your details (it is important that you do this because the product key will be sent to you as a backup in case you need to reinstall) enter your credit card information, click next to begin the upgrade, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement , click upgrade, wait while the software updates, (it may take 10 minutes or more, depending on the case, updates are required), your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify its update of the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a windows will pop up by notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional, your files, programs and settings stored, proceed to activate Windows 7 Professional.

I have a HP a6057c TV PC.  I noticed that the biggest file on the computer programs are game - I really do not need.

I would like to delete this program (s) and any other one that you could recommend for free space.

    Thanks again!

    Hi padgy,.

To remove all of the programs that are installed on your computer, all you need to do is click on Start-> Control Panel.

In Control Panel, under your display settings, choose either "programs and features" or "uninstall a program".

This will open a list of all the programs installed on your computer.  Select the title you want to delete, and then select "Uninstall" in the top menu.

In case you have uninstalled a program supplied with your PC accidentally, you can always bring it by using the Recovery Manager.  See this document for more details on the Recovery Manager: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00834921
