• Lack only the GIFs in Adobe Digital Editions

  I export from InDesign CC (latest version) to ePub 3.0.

  When I consult my folder in my other ePub readers, I see everything fine.  Images will only miss in Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.

  In this drive, my GIFs appear only if I select CSS size: fixed - all other options lead on an empty box where the image should be.  But when I select this option, the areas of the image are very small, and images are not resized while they are cut.

  The GIFs have already been optimized in PhotoShop for distribution so I prefer the option, "Use Image for charts existing objects" when I export.  But no matter if I turn it off - I see the same behavior if I select the option "Preserve the appearance of Layout" instead.

  But I don't think that the image itself is the problem - I think that it is in the CSS generated by InDesign to tags that surround the image.

  If I crack open the ePub file and remove all the DIV tags surrounding the image then repackage the ePub, the image appears in the right place, floating above the text.  It is the right size and it is great (except that you can't read the text below).

  I'm guessing there is a mistake in the CSS styles those DIV tags use.  I'm fairly warned to fix the CSS in the ePub file, but I would like to know what fixes I need to do and if there is a way to adjust the settings in InDesign so that I don't have to do.

  Most of my readers is likely to use iBooks or another drive - I guess I could just warn them NOT to use Adobe Digital Editions... but it seems that Adobe would prefer a different solution.

  Figured this out on my own, but leaving here because it was a FRUSTRATING problem!

  Object of my picture frame was not size to 100% on the entire width of the text block where the image is anchored.

  I don't know why the image disappeared when the scale has not been updated, but I know that when I fixed the width for the container in CSS attribute, it worked.  Then I realized that the value of the width attribute has been prepared by the size of the image.  When I resized it is 100%, it worked.

  My key takeaway from all this:

  If your images are not displayed in your ePub after export of InDesign files, first crack open the ePUB file and remove the CSS surrounding. Then pack again as an ePub.

  If the image appears, the problem is in CSS.

  Experiment with the original CSS to find the right settings which will eliminate the problem.

  Finally, see if it is possible to work with InDesign to get the right settings appear when it exports.  If this isn't the case, at least, simply edit the CSS file, rather than changing each individual IMG tag in XHTML files.

  You can remove the logo and add your logo by following these steps

  1. create a new file named logo.swf pixels dimension 47 x 27 that contains your brand image.

  2. go into the templates folder in the presenter installation folder 8

  3. Add your custom in the models folder logo.swf file.

  4. in PowerPoint, publish the presentation on your computer.

  5. display the output to see the new logo.

  6. this logo will appear whenever you post any presentation

  If you want to replace the logo of presentation already published

  1. create a new file named logo.swf pixels dimension 47 x 27 that contains your brand image.

  2. go to the folder publiahed > data > resources and paste the logo here

  3. go to the folder data and open vconfig.xml

  4. the search

  5 make value equal to "resources/logo.swf" and save vconfig.xml

  6. start viewer.swf

  There is no way to remove the logo completely. One solution is to add an empty swf of pixel dimension 47 x 27.

  You probably won't need to restore the drive, but it won't matter.

  I certainly think that the error message is misleading (as most of the error messages ADE).

  Try to remove the authorization 'without ID"of ADE on the computer.

  Press ctrl-shift-D while in the library view on ADE.  (cmd-shift-D if on a Mac).

  ADE to restart and then try again to record with your original Adobe ID.

  No promises, but I think there is a good chance that will work.

  You can then plug the eReader, you will almost certainly need to new and old.

  After that, everything should work fine;  I cross my fingers.

  I think I got it. Go to programs. Click Action Center. Go to the bottom left corner and click on Windows compatibility Trouble Shooter. This tool will guide you through the rest of what to point and click on specific points related to the Adobe Digital Editions software and its compatibility with Windows 7. There are options for tackling many programs that are running in these guests. Choose. You will probably be able to locate a large number of programs that provide challenges for the system you have set up.

  I got an e-reader Kobo Touch for Christmas and have figured out how to download the two free books on the Kobo website to practice and now I'm trying public library.  But I am told that I must download Adobe Digital Edition (which is free) and here I'm running problems.  He says that it downloads, but nothing.  Nothing opens and I can click away and nothing... none arises from the screen for me to continue it's supposed to happen next.   The following workaround solution allows you to install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows Vista.

  • Download the installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.

  • Choose to save the installation files in a directory on your hard drive.

  • Go to the save location, right click on ADE_2.0_Installer.exe and select Properties.

  • On the general tab, click Unblock next to the security.

    
    

  • Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.

  • Double-click on the ADE_2.0_Installer.exe to start the installation process.

  As an alternative, you can follow the cannot install Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software.

  The language of the User Interface for the software Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 and later with Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 is affected by the language setting of your operating system.  Please be aware that the User Interface does not affect the content you want to view.  If you want to open a Dutch ePub/eBook you would be able to do.
