I followed the instructions on how to create an installer for OS X El Capitan bootable. I've set up on a USB key.

But how do I get my computer to recognize it as a bootable disk? If I go into system under the startup disk Preferences, it is not there. If I restart the machine by pressing the Option key, it does not an option to boot from the USB key.
