    Hello

    If you have deleted the recovery Partition, you will not be able to create your own set of recovery disks, then you will need to order a replacement, set as described in my previous post.

    If you use these replacement disks to reinstall the operating system, they will also recreate the hard disk recovery Partition - this will allow to use the 'method f11' reinstall Windows if you wish.

  • How can I restore to factory settings?

    I've done it before, and I vaguely remember having to hit one of the keys "F #" at the start of the computer, but I don't remember when or which key to hit. If there is another, easier way to please me say, but I give this computer to my brother and restore it would be the best way to ensure that nothing of mine is here and no problem with him rest of what I could do about it. I really need this answer in the coming days so faster the the best answer. Thanks in advance to one that helps me to solve this problem (easy I guess) problem I have. Oh I'm not sure if it's important, but I use a Dell computer, computer, if I forgot to include any information you may need (Windows Vista on a Dell laptop) just told me.

    How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

    And that way if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
    They will tell you how to do this.
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • How can I reset to factory settings if I formatted the hard drive?
    Hello, so long story short the two drives on my Alienware m17x r4 have been formatted (the 32 GB SSD and HDD of 750 GB). What I didn't realize at the time, was that the image/factory settings are stored somewhere in there. So now, I wonder if I can get a picture of system to factory settings or if there is another way to return to the factory settings? Any help would be appreciated.
    I am running Windows 7 in addition, in the case where what matters.
    If you want to create an image of Win7 or Win8 factory restore use AlienRespawn (all that came pre-installed), you should do so before you installed Windows 10 (and/or your formatted disks). It must have been written to a flash drive and stored in a safe place (not hit).
    Re - install Windows 7 (or 8.1 is similar).
    en.Community.Dell.com/.../19376654
    If you need media of Windows OEM Dell-Alienware to clean-install of Windows, contact Dell.
    www.Dell.com/.../Media
    You can get Windows-10. ISO from Microsoft, or possibly Dell support downloads
    (for your specific Service of some machines label that comes with Win-10 preinstalled).
    My notes:
    Alien-Respawn is simply a version of the Alien on the theme of Dell backup and restore (DBaR)
    dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/.../Dell-Backup-and-Recovery
    It doesn't seem to work correctly under Windows-10.
    www.dell.com/.../EN
    You should now use Win - 10 backup Imaging or a third-party software such as Acronis and Macrium Reflect.
  • Space minimum drive - how to restore computer to factory settings
    I have a toshiba Satellite Pro A200 on Vista. Vista came preloaded and I not all disks for it. I got it from the new (Sept 2007). The hard disk is divided into units. Recently my C drive has filled competely and I now no space left (went 55gigs) I store some data in this drive. All my multimedia elements (music, photos, and other files) is in my E drive. I have to run C Cleaner whenever I start in order to have enough space for the operation of the computer. I also remove all but the last restore point in order to function.
    I am at my wits end and think I must have a virus or something. Is there a way to restore the computer to the 'new '? I have all my files backed up on an external hard drive, so I don't mind from scratch. Not keeping in mind I have no install discs as Vista came preloaded.
    Can anyone help? Please, I beg you!
    Most laptops and many OEM desktop computers (HP, Sony, etc.) come with a picture of factory restore on a special partition on the hard drive. The factory restore process is normally called by pressing a key of function (such as F11) to start the computer. There will be a message as to what function key press the screen when you start your computer. You can also consult the manual of your computer or the computer mftr.'s site, or contact technical support to learn how to restore your computer if you plant from each computer mftr. He does it differently - sometimes even between models.
    These machines also generally have a utility to create physical recovery disks in case the hard drive needs to be replaced or the factory restore image is somewhat damaged. If you have not created the recovery image recovery physical and/or damaged disks, contact technical support of computer mftr. to order a set of recovery disks. It is normally very expensive, around $20-25. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
  • HP8600 Pro: how to reset to the factory settings
    Hello
    I googled this and don't read several threads on this forum, no solution is never publicly displayed for this (VERY frustrating) problem and apparently only sent by email or PMs.  So, here I am how I completely reset my printer in order to change the configuration of the network?  All options are locked (including the option 'Restore the default settings of the network', so please don't ask me to do, I already checked and cannot access this option).  I also do NOT have access to the EWS connection info and who cannot access either.
    Nobody has ever owned this printer before, I bought it new a product typical and am only asking because I have the problem of "flashing lights" (as infamous) after the passage of routers.
  • How to restore the T61 factory settings
    Hi all
    I formatted my hard drive that came with Vista from the factory. I installed XP and now I am facing hell of problem with that. Right now, I think to go back and make available in my vista system. I don't take any backup on the system. But when I formatted, it showed me that 152 GB instead of 160 GB, I understand that lenova takes the hidden partition Moldavian disk to preserve history and backup of the operating system settings. When I go to the BIOS screen I can't see one of the options to restore my system back. We can do that, or we should send to support the Center, do. Please me gve some suggestions...
    Thanks in advance
    Krishna
    If you have formatted your hard drive it menas that you have deleted the recovery partition. You have just 152 GB because your HARD drive is formatted in NTFS as it should.
    The only option left for you is to call Lenovo and ask the recovery CD.
    Sorry for preaching, but you should back up your system if you decide to format the HARD drive (provided, you may need to get back the original settings)
    Best wishes.
    Hello
    There are several methods to reinstall Vista.
    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
    They should do this for a small fee.
    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
    Ask them to the proper key sequence.
    And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
    Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
    If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.
    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
    Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:
    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html
    And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.
  • How to set programmatically different view settings in the same workflow
    Hi all
    I have a business view that calls another view activity B with a link. In this connection, the action takes place to a method (I use the class JSFUtils: http://jdeveloper-adf.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/TGPrototype2/ViewController/src/com/tgslc/defaultManagement/utils/JSFUtils.java):
    public String goToB() {}
    String paramToPass = "someParameterTakenInSomeWay";
    JSFUtils.setExpressionValue("#{pathToViewB_pageBPageDef.paramName}",paramToPass);
    Return "openActivityB";
    }
    where openActivityB is the case of control flow to call B.
    In the file for pageDef B, I put a parameter "paramName" worthless:
    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >
    < pageDefinition xmlns = "http://xmlns.oracle.com/adfm/uimodel."
    version = "11.1.1.59.23" id = "pageBPageDef" >
    < Parameters >
    < parameter id = "paramName".
    value = "" / >
    < / Parameter >
    < executables / >
    < bindings / >
    < / pageDefinition >
    But at the time of operation, I have an oracle.jbo.expr.JIEvalException:
    Houston-25077: paramName not found in the object name specified: pathToViewB_pageBPageDef.
    The question is: How can I set the parameter view activity programmatically?
    Note that I use this method to set the parameter because in the real application, I have many 'view activity' that will call B, but all these should adjust this setting.
    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.
    Thanks in advance,
    Baudel
    Hello
    This is because PageDef B represents a link container that is not active at the same time you try to call it. The link container becomes available when you navigate to the page, but not before. Instead:
    1. define a bean managed pageFlowScope and expose a Set/getter accessor method to contain the value to pass
    2. the bean managed pageFlowScope property reference of NDValue attributebinding using EL
    3 set the managed bean before you navigate to view B
