Additionally, make sure that all of your contacts are in your Contacts or safe senders list and not on the list of senders blocked (by mistake).   First of all, see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and see if your antivirus interferes.  Some are known with play with WinMail and its messages and the database.  Then compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then see if it boots and your account works fine.  You may need to delete your account, compact and repair the database, and then add it back again.  But first, make sure that your antivirus is not that live up to WinMail.  www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials seems to work very well.
