  Using Windows Vista, I can't play a file video mp4 using Nero Showtime and some other video editing software. These programs show mp4 files using another computer with Windows 7.  Where can I get a codec for Windows Vista that can play mp4 files?  I don't want to install a codec pack that might ruin other programs and cause more problems than it solves.   where did you bought it? On Ebay? If Yes, then you must contact the person who sold you the unit. If you don't have any chance to get this collection, you should communicate with a
  ASP local in order to get a recovery.
  If Don t you want to get a recovery, and you have a genuine copy of Windows that hang out, then install, download the appropriate drivers for that machine on toshiba website and install
  them afterwards that you have windows installed.

  I'm afraid there is nothing to do: (m
  The WinDVD platinum was supplied with the OS from Toshiba and it of not possible to install it without using the Toshiba Recovery CD!
  Toshiba image contains Windows OS, all Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities and additional software.
  All of these tools will be installed by using the recovery CD.

  But if you want, you can use a freeware DVD player. Search the web site for some useful tools

  By the way; The Toshiba drivers and utilities (but not WinDVD) can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
