HP 15 r022TX: maximum eligible RAM on my laptop

I am currently on 8 GB memory DDR3. What is the eligible maximum RAM for my laptop because according to my knowledge, there are two slots.

Hello

There are TWO things about the mnanual:

1. it says 1 or 2 customer-accessible/upgradable memory (depending on model) module slots

2. replace memory is 'Authorized service provider parts' otherwise it will void the warranty:

I don't know who wrote the manual but on the safe side, you should check 'Authorized service provider parts'.

Good luck.

    Hey Buddy,

You can answer this question yourself!

I checked the specifications of this laptop on the Toshiba site and you can upgrade the RAM 8 GB. Therefore, you (1 066 MHz) DDR3 RAM and two 4 GB modules. They should be the same manufacturing to avoid problems of incompatibility.

Maybe it's a very long post, but please answer because I really need answers to each of these questions and I really want to upgrade my laptop to the best configuration, if I CAN.

Let me make this clear first.

    * In the next contained the words 'this portable' always refers to Hp Pavilion 15-n201ax *.
Good then everything first I read somewhere that the maximum Ram of this laptop can be expanded up to 16 GB, but i came up with this link here-

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/I-would-like-to-upgrade-memory-of-my-lap...

And then I came to know that it can only be upgraded to 12 GB page chapter 1 Description this Guide - #2

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04438537.PDF

First of all I would like to ask, is that,

    1. can I buy a RAM of any brand but the same 1600 mhz clock speed ofc IE?, then can I go to the GSkill 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 GB of ram?

    2. the size matter for respective locations? or I can install the 8 GB and 4 GB of ram in any other slots?

So this was all about the RAM

But I need to know if I can change the discrete GPU and the APU of this laptop

3 and if yes - which are compatible mobile GPU that I can install by removing the previous one ie AMD 8600 M (for example graphics R9, R7 and R5 for laptop)

4 and who are the compatible APU I can install by removing the APU previous IE AMD APU A10 - 4655 M (for example the AMD FX APU for laptops)

    5. If I can upgrade the GPU and APU both please tell makes compatibility issues? as only a specific GPU can work with a specific APU IE as in this laptop AMD APU A10 - 4655M + AMD 8600 M GPU.

    Please help me, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavilion 15-n201ax?

We may need to refer to the owner's manual here:

    Your repair manuals

Officially, it supports only 12 concerts. Your model has a single module of 8 GB if you have an open slot. Unofficially, users here can have reported that add another 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts will work fine. It's something you take the risk of making but it is not official.

The part numbers for the appropriate memory are listed on page 42. You must DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

If you want to go formal, the 4 GB module is: 691740-001

    Is this on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1437948185&SR=8-1&keywords=691740-001

You just leave the concert 8 where it is and add the new memory into the open slot.

On your laptop model, the GPU/APU is soldered to the motherboard. In order to make any upgrade, you will need to buy a new motherboard. You have an idea together wrong GPU/APU can be removed and replaced and this is incorrect. The term APU refers to a processor that has integrated video, so the whole issue on the compatibility between the GPU and APU just missing the mark. On some systems, the GPU/APU is socketed and can be replaced which is used to replace/upgrade the processor and the video function but as stated above, on your this involves pulling and replacing the entire motherboard.

    There is available a little better/graphics processor using AMD A10 - 5745M 8670 M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25W) for use with Standard Windows. The part of the motherboard is 734824-501

HP does not store the Council, but I found this line:

    http://www.discounteddealz.com/product.asp?Itemid=327740&gclid=CO78y6rn-cYCFQmCaQodOP0GLQ

Never heard of this seller and can not be a guarantor, but the price is very reasonable for this Council. I was expecting to be a little more makes me wonder about this seller a little. I would advise to keep what you have. He is very strong for AMD and the upgrade to the Commission on the A10-5745 will result in only a very small increase in performance to a very high cost in money and efforts.

  • upgrading ram in the laptop of HP Pavilion g6t - 1B 00 CTO

is it possible to upgrade my ram from 4 GB to 8 GB of ram in the laptop of HP Pavilion g6t - 1B 00 CTO?

    Hey ranjith1992,

The maximum amount of RAM supported your model is 8GBs. The unit has 2 DIMM slots, so you need to get the memory 2 x 4 GB DDR3 modules. Take a look inside the machine to see how fast the 2 GB that you are there (for example, 1066 MHz) and buy 4 GB modules that match.

Here are some photos/instructions to help you get started: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02829479.pdf

Page 48 lists the tested/compatible memory modules and shows you how even to yourself! Additionally, make sure that you are using a 64-bit operating system in order to fully use the 8GBs - a 32 bit OS will see 4GBs.

  • Can I install a 8 GB of ram on my laptop?

Hi, I wan't more RAM in my laptop, it came with 2 GB, now it has 3 Gb. But, I would like to get bot 8 GB, I don't know if it's possible with my record.

    I have a laptop dv6663cl.

This is a picture of things there

The Commission has 2 slots for RAM, is it possible to put 2 modules of 4 GB or is it maximum 4 GB at all? and, if I get more, I need to change in the BIOS?

    Thanks for your help.

PS: Sorry if my English is not very good.

4 GB is the maximum. You don't need to do anything other than put in to make it work. If you have a 32-bit version of Windows (most people do), you're wasting your money to put into more than 3 gigs because that's most of the operating system can use.

If you want to use 4 concerts completely you have 64-bit Windows.

  • HP Pavilion e033tx-15 taken Maximum supported RAM

I intend to buy a 15-e033tx Pavilion. Main use would be for software development. Client and the server end development involving heavy stuff like Oracle 12 c and WebLogic.  Also for casual games and movies. I would be grateful if someone could answer the following questions. I tried the net but found no reliable answers.

    1. What is the maximum amount of memory supported? (he would support 12 GB?)

    2. I've seen complaints on issues related to the use of the features of ATI dedicated graphics. Are there any known issues?

A quick response would be much appreciated.

It can take 16 gigabytes of RAM. And I would not be inaccurate to say there has been no problem with switchable graphics. Many people have bad especially after a Windows 8.1 update. I think this is generally a problem of the user, since the switchable graphics use is slightly higher than the capacity of the average user.

Crucial, Kingston had their own online scanners which lists the compatible modules.

I suggest that from 6 GB to 8 GB won't give you a big boost in performance. SSD instead of HARD drive would be the way I would go.

  • HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-n001: what is the maximum amount of RAM is my laptop can handle?

    Hello community!

I want to upgrade RAM my computer but I want to know how much he eligible to upgrade? Here is my computer

    Thank you!

Ok. I'll try to explain it.

The way it works is that there is more than a chipset that controls what you can do with a PC or laptop.

Companies like HP, ASUS, Dell and others, use a chipset reference design provided by AMD or Intel, and decide what will be the limits.

Not all parts or function of the chipset are used.  The featureset to a motherboard or an office depends on which segment of the PC market or laptop a systemboard or motherbolard is designed for.

Entry level laptop or a desktop PC will certainly not all the characteristics of a high level product.

The physical limits are coded in firmware BIOS by engineers and specific features are used or left out.

If you have done your due diligence research and found somewhere that people have upgraded the same 16 GB laptop and it worked. then you can go to 16 GB. Otherwise, I recommend that you believe that what has been said here, as I've used HP publications which were written specifically for the series of model of your laptop as my source of reference. The choice is always yours.
