  • HP Pavilion notebook f114dx 17: integrated or shared video card

I use a software house and landscape on my new HP Pavilion Notebook.  Often, it seems to freeze so I called the software company to find out what could be the cause.  They told me this: their program uses a dedicated video card.  If my laptop (notebook) integrated or shared video cards their software will freeze.

How can I know what are the video card in my laptop?  I have read the data sheet on my laptop that I just bought 07/01/2015 and I'm not see (or understanding) what graphics cards are in my laptop.  I have also bought/downloaded software house/landscape the same day.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hey @brop ,

Thanks for responding to me. I see that the software is 3D which might have some concerns about the graphic or video card. You must ask the Punch! Home & Landscape Design 17.7 support if you can lower the graphics on this software to low or medium. You laptop has Intel HD 4400 graphics card with up to 1792 MB total graphics memory. Here's a document on improving your system. Closing off Live tiles on the desktop will help performance. As closing any open programs you don't use.

You can watch this third party site which helped to speed up performance.   Please read this before you start.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f208: dedicated video card can not seen in BIOS

Good day Sir/Mam...i recently bought a HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f208nx and I wonder if the dedicated video card is can be seen in the BIOS?... cause when I go into the BIOS I don't see the card... thanks video dedicated to help.

    Hi @nextor ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked at your question about your Notebook of 17-f208nx HP Pavilion Notebook and concerns regarding the graphics not to be seen in the BIOS. That it is up to your motherboard, it is usually on the Advanced tab. If it is not listed in the BIOS means that you will not be able to change the options.

    Thank you.

  • Questions about upgrading the video card in the Inspiron 620

Hey guys... I want to add a discrete graphics card to my new Dell Inspiron 620.  My power supply is rated at 300w.  Are there maps decent graphics that I could use that would be compatible with the 300w PSU?  Also, if I upgrade my diet as well, which could result in the cancellation of the guarantee I have on my new Dell?  Thanks in advance!

Much here on the forums have used the HD 5670 on their units of 300 watt with no problems.

By the table below, you can see that the HD 5670 is only set to 190 watts in charge for the entire system.   I think that the video card will do only about 50-60 watts in game situations and where the only game not only around 20 watts.

  • Video card stretch in dv6704nr HP Pavilion Entertainment Notebook PC?

I'm looking to improve the graphics on my brother's mobile, but wasn't sure if that was even possible with the laptop HP Pavilion dv6704nr.  I'm sure that could increase the RAM, but I wanted to check in the graphics card in particular.  If anyone has any information on whether this is possible on this laptop or if anyone has any other recommendations to boost graphics on this model, please let me know or point me in the right direction.  Thank you .

    Hello

Sorry to say, but you can't upgrade the video card - although it's called a 'card', in reality it is more like a chip and is physically soldered to the motherboard and is not an evolutionary element.

  • The HP ENVY h8-1500z with a new video card upgrade

    Hello

My current video card is a 1 GB of Nvidia that came with the installer and requires more power.  I want to upgrade the video card for this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131562) this map requires power and this kind of care.

I opened my PC and it looks like the current power is 300W, but I do not see a card for a video about this card. My question is: Y at - it sort of an adapter I can use with existing PS? If I need to exchange the PS, can I use any power supply in this PC? It will be (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139050) to adapt and work? If not, what suggestions do you have?

    Thanks for the help.

Wanted to add that I am running:

    6-core AMD FX 6120 to 3.50 Ghz

    14 GB of RAM

    64-bit OS Win Pro 8.1

    NVidia GeForce GT 620

The graphics card, you want to install on your computer requires a minimum of 500 watts power. The Corsair CX500M that you access will work for your computer and work with your desired graphics card.

    Hello

I totally agree with the Akuma.
Upgrading the graphics card is not possible on laptops.
As mentioned, the motherboards of notebook does not support a standard graphic slot.

Of course, nVidia is developing a new standard called MXM but as far as I know it s not available on your Sam 1900.

Is - this posibel to change the graphics card with that on my XPs? Is it posibel even to change a video card in a G30?
(Sorry my English is not the best!: D)

    Thx for any help

    Hello

Usually it of not possible to change the GPU on laptop computers.
The laptop is configured with this graphics card and after replacement, it possible s that the BIOS will not accept this card and laptop does not start.

But why you want to replace it?

It seems that there s a new notebook with HD-DVD player and a great graphics card.
The replacement does not really increase the graphics performance!
You know, replacement is very risky, and if you open the notebook, you will lose the warranty!
    It is not worth!

  • Satellite A200-23d video card recovery

Here is someone who knows if the Satellite A200-23d was a resumption of the video card?
Native video card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 512 MB does not.
Can I replace it with another video card?

What do you mean by video card recovery?
Do you mean replacement/upgrade graphics card up-to-date?

The notebooks of the graphics chip cannot be upgraded or replaced. It s mostly a part of the motherboard and if something goes wrong with the graph of the chip you have to replace the motherboard.

  • Satellite 1900-303: Question about upgrade video card

I have satellite 1900 - 303 and want to somehow upgrade the video card. Is that someone has an idea that is possible or not and if yes how and where to buy a new one.
    Thank you

    Hi Galin,

It is generally not possible to update the graphics card in a notebook. They are generally adapted to fit the available space and also specially designed drivers that are specific to your model of laptop. It is also quite common for them to use the RAM shared rather than having their own chip RAM (although some later model specifications have dedicated for graphics RAM).

You can check in your advanced (from Control Panel) display options if you can adjust the RAM available for your graphics card.
