I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?

    Hi KevinRy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    Unplug all external devices.

Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

    1.

Right-click my computerand then click Properties.

    2.

    Click the Advanced tab.

    3.

Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.

    4.

Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.

    5.

Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

    Kind regards

  • SSD + El Cap Upgrade on Intel Core2 Duo MBP?

    Hello

My partner has a really slow 13 "Mid 2010 build MBP Yosemite running.

Its processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz

    4 GB of RAM running

I'm about to take the plunge and order, the HD of SSD Crucial BX100 with a capacity of 250 GB and install it as the new boot drive, while doing a new installation of the OS and the only apps relocation essential to the main boot drive. It will work then all of its files from the original HD, with the exception of PSD files / etc. Hair that she works there on who will benefit from work of the SSD.

I promised her that it will transform its system. As a designer use Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator by day and they run dramatically slow. It's beyond a joke, and it really is its massive costs in time and starts to delay paid work.

While I understand that there is no additional room for 4 GB of RAM with this machine, given a small budget, which is the best route SSD or RAM? And the system will go much quicker?

    Thank you.

For the RAM and SSD, best Mac compatible options are OWC and Crucial.  This is based on the reputation and personal experience.

Note that a 13 "2010 MBP will support up to 16 GB of RAM from OWC.  You should consider this option as well.

    Ciao.

  • G62-407DX portable computer memory upgrade problems

According to the documentation on my laptop, it supports up to 8 GB of DDR3.  It is currently installed with a key 2 GB of Kingston and a 1 GB of DDR3 Micron as it was configured by HP.  I tried to improve it up to 8 GB of memory PNY last night and met with complete failure.

When starting the BIOS detected that 8 GB of RAM was installed like Windows.  However, Windows indicates that 3,79 GB of RAM was usable and 8GB has been installed.  About 2 months ago, I got this exactly the same problem on a desktop computer.  The question is not in Windows because it is the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  It's actually the BIOS that is to blame.  On my desk, I had to contact the manufacturer to get a new version of the BIOS (the version I needed was not available on their website).  The problem with the BIOS, is that he lacks the feature "remapping memory."  Without the parameter, Windows will not be able to use all of the memory installed in the system.  The BIOS on this laptop seems to have basically all normal BIOS settings deleted, which is strange, but I can understand since it is a laptop and not a desktop computer.

After having the problem with memory, I checked my BIOS version and went on HP website to see if there was a newer version.  To my surprise, the version in my laptop (F.25) is newer than the version on the website (F.23)!  It seems that all the drivers and utilities on this laptop HP support page are old.

Can someone help me find a BIOS with memory remapping?  If there isn't one, I hope that HP sees that their BIOS has a problem...

    Hello snike3,

Sorry to hear about your memory problems. I came across your post, shortly after the purchase of 8 GB (2x4gb) of new memory for the same model specifications, and I started to worry that I would have problems too. I installed modules and all the 8GB are recognized and usable. I bought the laptop (HP G62-407DX) last week. Running the version of BIOS F.25 with InsydeH20 Setup Utility Rev. 3.5 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, like you did. The new modules passed the test of the memory configuration utility (I'll run it through something more rigorous later).

I know that this does not solve your problem and I apologize, but I hope that it provides an overview. Maybe you received a module of memory of buttocks, or it is not fully inserted into the slot of memory? Maybe the PNY memory modules play well with these laptops? If it's any consolation, the memory that I use is model G.SKILL F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820231342

If possible, you might want to consider RMA'ing your PNY memory and buy memory, that I linked above. He has been working for the last two hours firmly. Please reply/re-post when you have a solution to your situation.

Maybe it's a very long post, but please answer because I really need answers to each of these questions and I really want to upgrade my laptop to the best configuration, if I CAN.

Let me make this clear first.

    * In the next contained the words 'this portable' always refers to Hp Pavilion 15-n201ax *.
Good then everything first I read somewhere that the maximum Ram of this laptop can be expanded up to 16 GB, but i came up with this link here-

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/I-would-like-to-upgrade-memory-of-my-lap...

And then I came to know that it can only be upgraded to 12 GB page chapter 1 Description this Guide - #2

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04438537.PDF

First of all I would like to ask, is that,

    1. can I buy a RAM of any brand but the same 1600 mhz clock speed ofc IE?, then can I go to the GSkill 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 GB of ram?

    2. the size matter for respective locations? or I can install the 8 GB and 4 GB of ram in any other slots?

So this was all about the RAM

But I need to know if I can change the discrete GPU and the APU of this laptop

3 and if yes - which are compatible mobile GPU that I can install by removing the previous one ie AMD 8600 M (for example graphics R9, R7 and R5 for laptop)

4 and who are the compatible APU I can install by removing the APU previous IE AMD APU A10 - 4655 M (for example the AMD FX APU for laptops)

    5. If I can upgrade the GPU and APU both please tell makes compatibility issues? as only a specific GPU can work with a specific APU IE as in this laptop AMD APU A10 - 4655M + AMD 8600 M GPU.

    Please help me, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavilion 15-n201ax?

We may need to refer to the owner's manual here:

    Your repair manuals

Officially, it supports only 12 concerts. Your model has a single module of 8 GB if you have an open slot. Unofficially, users here can have reported that add another 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts will work fine. It's something you take the risk of making but it is not official.

The part numbers for the appropriate memory are listed on page 42. You must DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

If you want to go formal, the 4 GB module is: 691740-001

    Is this on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1437948185&SR=8-1&keywords=691740-001

You just leave the concert 8 where it is and add the new memory into the open slot.

On your laptop model, the GPU/APU is soldered to the motherboard. In order to make any upgrade, you will need to buy a new motherboard. You have an idea together wrong GPU/APU can be removed and replaced and this is incorrect. The term APU refers to a processor that has integrated video, so the whole issue on the compatibility between the GPU and APU just missing the mark. On some systems, the GPU/APU is socketed and can be replaced which is used to replace/upgrade the processor and the video function but as stated above, on your this involves pulling and replacing the entire motherboard.

    There is available a little better/graphics processor using AMD A10 - 5745M 8670 M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25W) for use with Standard Windows. The part of the motherboard is 734824-501

HP does not store the Council, but I found this line:

    http://www.discounteddealz.com/product.asp?Itemid=327740&gclid=CO78y6rn-cYCFQmCaQodOP0GLQ

Never heard of this seller and can not be a guarantor, but the price is very reasonable for this Council. I was expecting to be a little more makes me wonder about this seller a little. I would advise to keep what you have. He is very strong for AMD and the upgrade to the Commission on the A10-5745 will result in only a very small increase in performance to a very high cost in money and efforts.

    Hello world

I need your help. Before buying a faster processor and open the laptop, I was wondering if anyone knows if this laptop specific has a socket for the CPU. I have searched online to find out and so far nothing has come.
The current CPU is Core 2 Duo T5450.

Thank you all in advance for your time and your consideration.

    Kind regards
    Adrian.

Look at page 116... I see a removed processor to an outlet in the image? Yes, in fact, I replaced CPU on a dv2700 and I can swear to you first hand knowledge that there is a removable, sheltered processor within a processor socket. If you are good to go. I also swear to you first hand knowledge, I worked on a lot of laptops and the dv2700 is in the top 10% in terms of difficulty. There are a lot of Remora and confusing cables in water in there. Be aware that there is a BIOS upgrade that allows the use of T9xxx Core 2 Duo series, which are very strong processors. If I upgrade, I would try to find a way to install one of these.

The coprocessor math and 64 KB of cache memory are integrated into the processor and it s a 100 MHz bus clock.

  • Satellite L755 - PSK2YE - upgrade of Windows 8 - CPU spikes driven at the start of app

    Hello

Recently, I upgraded my OS Windows 8 Pro.
Since then, when I open an application or a new Web tab which requires some effort from shockwave plugin or gpu process, I noticed a spike cpu which lasts 3-9 seconds.

These spikes increase the temperature of the cpu from 50 ° c to 70 ° c.
But when the spike is complete, gets back to its usual temperature (50 ° c).

I have tried almost everything I read, but so far nothing has solved the problem. I tried the clean boot, safemode (network option checked), active the windows updates manual, at the request of maintenance at a specific time, disabled an option that allows atheros controller turn the unit off when the laptop is in sleep mode.

My drivers are all up to date, so I don't really know what's going on, so I would be sincerely grateful for your help.

I use balanced energy mode, but the same problem occurs when I use high performance one.

However in power saving mode there is no ears at all. I used to see the same behavior when I reduced the maximum processor state to 95%.

    > However in power saving mode, there are at all without crampons. I used to see the same behavior when I reduced the maximum processor state to 95%.

The spikes appear due to stress CPU.
I noticed something similar to running some applications Chrome for a few seconds, the CPU would be stressed to the point where the fans begin to run with the highest performance. After about 5-10 seconds, CPU load goes down and the fans run slower.

I guess that's a result of bad programming of some applications such as constraints of software the CPU too

I'm interested in upgrading my old satellite 1800-314.
Does anyone know the upgrade of the maximum for this machine processor?
It does support only pc100 or pc133 memory modules?

My idea is to upgrade from the origin to a Celeron 1.4 or even a Pentium III Coppermine Celeron 1.1 / Tualatin processor and add more 256 MB machine.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Andrew

Upgrading the CPU is not possible. The processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package). It is a method of permanent connection and is used in the interest of miniaturization and heat dissipation.

    Expansion memory is not a problem. You can use PC100 256 MB (PA3069U - 1 M 25) memory module.

  • Upgrades Pavilion G7 - 1260US CPU and RAM maximum

In my view, there are many replacements double heart in the region of i5 (i5 - 2430M eBay only about $45), but I'm looking more than four cores. Anyone know which may be suitable for CPU in i5 or i7?

I see the spec for it shows 8 GB of RAM, but according to the site Intel arch, the i3 - 2350 M CPU/Chipset may contain 16 GB.

While it is true? Has anyone checked if it can contain more than 8 GB of RAM?

Since then, I wonder about the upgrades. The video is based in the panels, or cracked? Nice OT would be able to pull the Intel out of it.

    Thanks a bunch!

    Hello

    1. for CPU: no information of User Guides:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&product=5169545&

Many laptops have a list of processors supported, not for this machine, but I believe same generation with the right BIOS should work

2 for RAM: you can upgrade to 8 GB:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02996675

Not only the CPU, several factors will determine how machine RAM can support.

    3. Yes, it uses "Intel HD Graphics 3000" aboard a video chip that is soldered to the System Board (or the motherboard.

Frankly I would not worth it. The workload and potential will weigh much more heavily in the balance than the gain of performance negigible. An SSD would be much easier and would provide even more performance gain in any other game.

The GeForce 230 M is the best graphics available in this series, so there is no motherboard better. Graphic design is not a replaceable but welded card to the motherboard. There is only one available for this model fan. Perhaps you could improve its performance with best chocks composed or perhaps thermal thermal but it's a cutting-edge engineering.
