HP Pavilion 15 laptop: update BIOS SP72549

Tried to install the recommended update SP72549. Failed to install. Do I need this. PC works fine.

Hello:

If your PC works well and the BIOS update failed to install, do not keep trying to install it.

If a problem occurs during a BIOS flash, there is step-overs.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: update BIOS - my version of the OS is not listed in the BIOS version, I want to update

    Hello

I need quick information. I want to update my BIOS. The current version is F.00 - 03/07/2013 and I want to update the F.27 Rev.A - version 25/07/2016. However, Win 10 (which is the operating system I use) is not listed as an operating system supported for this BIOS (latest version for Win Win 8.1 support 64 bit). I would like to know if I can still download and use the version of the 25/07/2016 F.27 Rev.A BIOS even if the latest OS is win 8.1 64 bit, while I use Win 10 64 bit?

    Thank you.

    Dear customer,

Updated the BIOS for the Chipset and is not serious if the unit has WIN 8 or 10 to WIN.

As it says BIOS-Basic Input Output System

The BIOS is a chip on the motherboard.

We recommend you update the device with the latest available BIOS VER for chipset perform better.

  • HP Pavilion 500 series: updates Bios

HI I was wondering tonight in my hp support center was a significant update of the Bios I was wondering if I could please get some advice on the question of whether it is a good idea to Bios if there is nothing wrong with the Bios in the first place.  Why should I update the Bios or should I not update the Bios for my hp Desktop.

Thank you for your time and help

In general, I agree with redshore.  I'm used to be of the opinion that if everything worked as planned, then leave it alone.  Since I use a HP ENVY laptop with Windows 8.1 one year, I noticed that the HP helper has done several updates that I probably have on my own, especially updates BIOS.  I don't know why there would be many updates to BIOS, so have to asuume engineers tried to fix a problem that had been reported.  As redshore, you always stand the risk of bricking the unit with BIOS update is bad and if you read the forums here, there seems to be more those happening.

Some units now have a feature where a regime of BIOS recorvery is integrated, a good idea.  You might wise to explore your PC to see if the model you have this feature for a while where you might need.

  • Envy laptop: update bios still running

I got a notice from HP that there are updates for my computer. I've updated all the recommended updates, including updated Bios. After 18 hours its always updated. How long it takes and what I'm doing now is so long?

    Hello

The update should only take a few minutes, so if it worked for 18 hours, I'd say it's blocked - stop it should be Ok.

When you stopped, close HPSA and download the Bios Update from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75001-75500/sp75152.exe

Once the download is complete, close other open windows and programs, then open your download folder and double-click the installer to start the process.  The real flash will occur when you restart the machine - do not interrupt it somehow, even if nothing seems to be happening for a while - when it is finished, the machine will load in Windows as usual.

Laptop very slow to start and respond to the entry. Then, after some use crashes and blue screen with the message "tread stuck in device driver".

Have very slowly downloaded and installed updated drivers. No help. Also found info from other sources that a BIOS update may cure the problem.

However, go to the support page for this BIOS HP gives me this:

"Cannot access the system at the moment, we are sorry, but an error has occurred and we are temporarily unable to access the system you're looking for right now. Please check back soon. »

Same thing for the last 3 days.

  • Pavilion 15-e034tx: update BIOS to F.27 of F.26!

Recently, I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my laptop and also used the F.27 of BIOS downloaded via HP Support Assistant version.

After installation, I forgot to install HPSA, but was still my product page are looking for updates and drivers available.

I donot know why my laptop is not supported by Windows 10, although it it works perfectly fine... So I had to go to the download section for Windows 8.1.

And there was a BIOS update

Now, after my little knowledge, I know that it is absolutely wrong to downgrade the BIOS but still downloaded and gave it a try when the following screen appears

I know that something is not here... Any suggestions?

Whose use HPSA on W10 for this model, do not update the bios to HPSA.

You have the latest available bios version and will probably be the last ever output version, Windows updates will find new updates of pilot, so HPSA is no longer needed on this model, uninstall it.

Hello, Anis, my advice to you would be to let your PC as it is until HP finds a solution for this. I don't want to try what I did if they feel uncomfortable or find confusing.

You have any other problem with your HP computer, or you just want to update the BIOS?

If your PC works well otherwise I think it would be much safer to wait.

I know that computers can be frustrating, but if one little thing goes wrong, when updating any BIOS of computers it will be unusable.

For someone else think to try what I did, I advise you to wait as I said above to ANIS.

My pc works always fine, no problem * knock wood * , but my experience goes to work with BACK & before the BASIC programming in the 1980s. If the environment was not alien to me.

I do not know HP will find a solution before too long.

    Shores.

  • Pavilion dv7-6b63us: update Bios

I have a Pavilion dv7-6b63us laptop.  I went into the Windows in file Explorer folder, msinfo32.exe entries in the search block and found that my Bios version is dated F.02 03/10/2011.  Then, I went to the section drivers and downloads for HP software and clicked on the Bios, and they showed a version of Bios F.1C dated 18/02/2016.  I downloaded the version F.1C and save my download folder.  It is safe for me to install this version of Bios on my laptop?  I read somewhere that you could be in a lot of trouble if you install a version of Bios that is not intended for your computer.  Can someone make sure it's OK to go ahead and install the Biso F.1C version?

If the fan does not work, then it sounds like a bad fan sensor or a bad connection going to the sensor.

The upgrade of the BIOS will not solve the error message fan you are experencing. In addition, it is not recommended that you upgrade the BIOS if the fan is malfunctioning under the fan kicks in full throttle during the upgrade as a precaution. If the fan does not work and you upgrade the BIOS and overheating of the computer will power off computer and will be probably corrupted BIOS and brick your computer.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: update not downloaded from hp support assistant

I have a laptop HP Pavilion 15 with the product J6L90PA #ACJ number. Today I just installed kaspersky anti virus and after I have could not download the updates from hp support assistant. The window indicates that its download, but there is no progress, motionless. I bought the laptop in July 2014 and 1 year I have Macafee antivirus. Today, I removed macafee by tool Development completely. Y at - it no problem for my system.  Screenshot of number is attached.

    @Edukrishnan

Your system is probably OK - but seems the HPSA (HP Support Assistant) is more entitled to automatically download and / or install the HP drivers / updates.

    Your system:

    Laptop HP Pavilion 15-p073tx

    What's wrong?

Could be the anti-virus / security program, could be a network problem independent somewhere between your computer and updates - could be a variety of things.  HPSA is good code; It is not infallible.

You can use the following workaround - MANY people update this way, some because the HPSA hesitate to download / installation and others due to the extra comfort only update the computer when the owner / user is willing to do.

    • The HPSA settings > notify
    • Restart the computer and log in
    • Start the HPSA and click to get a new list of updates
    • Use the list as a reference >
    • Open the Page of driver for your computer Web site >
    • set parameters (operating system, etc.) >
    • Find updates to the page of your driver and decide whether to download and install the updates manually

  • Pavilion 500-046: update BIOS on Pavilion 500

Reviews of need for "HP consumer Desktoop PC BIOS Update (ROM family SSID ZAEO)." Downloaded the update, but when I tried to install, the screen went black for ten to fifteen minutes at that time, I panicked and shut down my computer. She started very well, but I am concerned about the update. Should I try again? Really should the screen be bleak for so long during the installation? It's VERY annoying. What can happen if I just don't install the update? My computer is a pavilion of 500, model 500-046.

    You are the very welcome.

A doorstop, this is what your PC is only good for after it no longer works.

I read a few posts from other members of the forum about the failure BIOS flashes after notification to support assistant.

Maybe they are the same model as yours. They were recent messages last week.

In any case, given that your PC works, I would leave it be.

The fact that the update has been downloaded and is on your PC should be of no interest.

It does not work by itself.  You have to find it in the folder of the file and double-click on and run the installer again.

But if you get any more notifications of the wizard to support updates to the BIOS you can ignore them.

  • HP pavilion 15 laptop: update for Windows 10 laptop has removed Bluetooth?

    Product number: F4T58EA #ABU

After that I updated my windows 8.1 to windows 10 laptop remove bluetooth.

There is no option in the settings to enable or disable. Nothing to do with bluetooth has completely disapperaed.

I looked through device controller speaker, but there wasn't anything that had name bluetooths. I also looked through the computer management services and found two bluetooth, Bluetooth Handsfree and service support of Bluetooth services. they were both the value of manual start and weren't running. I started them and implement autostart. It makes no changes to the problem though.

I think the problem is my bluetooth drivers are outdated and maybe I just need to reinstall drivers. But I don't know what my bluetooth card is. Update of drivers for other hardware has solved one problem with my PC after windows 10 updated.

It's just the Windows bluetooth service.

Each PC has this programming if it has bluetooth or not.

Al, I can tell you, it's that your laptop has never come with BT
