  • Re: Satellite A500/02J-backlit keyboard upgrade

    Hi all

I just bought an A500/02J but I would replace the keyboard with a backlit keyboard. I found a backlit keyboard compatible to A500 on ebay, but I wonder if the motherboard on the 02J will allow replacement.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Kind regards

I can't say with any certainty whether these updates is possible but I n t think so. I mean why Toshiba should offer this motherboard with keyboard without backlight.

Best thing you can do is to call the Toshiba service in your country and ask for help. They have experience with such things, and I think you will get the answer service guys prober.

If you discover that the upgrade is possible please let us know. This info can be useful for other owners of A5oo.

  • W530 nonbacklit backlit keyboard upgrade

    Hey people,

I bought a little used W530 back this summer. I love this thing, it has all the power I need for one SSD + extension of 1 TB HDD, 1080 p screen, etc.. Check all the boxes in what I want in a laptop. The only thing that I forgot to check on was backlit keyboard... and of course, he does have one. It was fine without it, but at Christmas to come, I can going to enjoy the upgrade. I saw the backlit keyboard for sale on ebay on other sites and confirmed the swap is physically possible, but I have not heard if there is nothing you need to do to physically install. For example, right now FN + space the lights to think; with the backlit keyboard, I think this activates the backlight. The thinkpad will automatically perform this when the keyboard is installed or I have to update the BIOS or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

My w530 came with a keyboard not backlit. I bought one on ebay, swap took three minutes, and no updates or other actions are required. FN + space works as before, it passes between the backlight (two levels), thinklight and turned off.

f Yes what is the cost.

And one more thing, my laptop is in warranty if I change my keyboard it will affect... ??

    Thank you

    Hey @Shivam123,

I understand that you are looking to upgrade your keyboard to a backlit keyboard.

This is HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. You will see that it says full size backlit 3 paint coat Island-keyboard with black pad with LED red is listed because some models (Pavilion 15 or 17 Pavilion) came up with this type of keyboard.

When I look at the HP PartSurfer's using your specific model number, there is no option to use the layer full-size backlit 3 paint Island-keyboard with black pad with LED red.

    Hello

It is possible to install the backlit keyboard in this model, but after doing this, you will lose your warranty.

For this reason it is meaningless to do this "upgrade".

  • Pavilion g6-2202tx C0P15PA: upgrade: g6-2202tx C0P15PA Pavilion: backlit keyboard, battery and RAM

    Hello

    Product name: g6-2202tx Pavilion

    Product number: C0P15PA

    OS: windows 10 (64-bit)

    Location: Mumbai, India.

I want to update my laptop ram and replace his keyboard.

Laptop comes with 4 GB of ram which has 800 MHz frequency (you can pl confirm that?).
As product specifications page indicates that frequency of 1600 MHz is supported by the motherboard, I'll buy extra 4gigs of memory at 1600 MHz. Sera - what a good choice, or despite the frequency of 1600 MHz, the two ram runs at 800 MHz? I would have to buy 8 GB memory at 1600 MHz. can you pl developed on the same.

Secondly, I have "keyboard full size style Island w / pad" keyboard, which is not backlit. and I really need a backlit keyboard, I can replace the keyboard with a backlit keyboard of HP. If Yes, can you pl tell me the process? Is the laptop motherboard supports backlit keyboard? will I need to update the firmware and driver for the same? I can buy a market?

Backup of my laptop battery has significantly reduced. In recent days, I also get a message at startup, which suggests for the replacement of the battery. Where can I buy a new battery? What specifications I need to know to buy a battery compatible, true.

My laptop is under warranty HP on site. (the battery is not under warranty, as collateral for the battery has expired.)

How does the whole scenario fits with the product under warranty.

    Thank you!!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-2202tx Notebook and concerns with updates. Here is a link to your owner's manual page 2 and show me your system supports a maximum 8 GB 2 x 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 in each slot.

Your system does not support a backlit keyboard.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e020dx: can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

Can I replace a Keyboard(Non-Backlit) with a backlit keyboard in my laptop HP Pavilion 17-e020dx?

    Hello

This series of computers portable your (and many others) have only 1 option for keyboard:

Full-size, island-keyboard with numeric pad in black or white finish. Gesture of support: MultiTouch gestures
activated, two fingers to scroll and pinchzoom as default
    Faucets, active by default
Support for Windows 8 modern trackpad

Therefore, you can not replace the keyboard only, you must also replace the motherboard that supports a backlit keyboard. If necessary, it would be a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.
