HP Pavilion dv6 7080ee: HP Notebook System BIOS update

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 7080ee and I came across an incident where the BIOS has been corrupted.

I tried to recover the BIOS for awhile and HP has added a new utility BIOS F.2D Rev.A but when the utility is launched, all the options are greyed out.

And there at - it another way to recover the bios?

Kindly advice.

  • HP Pavilion 15-ab150sa: HP Notebook System BIOS update (and processors)

Hi, I bought the HP Pavilion 15-ab150sa last weekend and have had many problems since getting it. Kept freezing and condensation WiFi shortly after logging in.

I found there were 6 updates that need running that are not automatically showing until I scanned for them in HPSA.

Its took me 4 days to get the updates for the most part actually fill and it seems to work a lot better now, however, I have an update for HP Notebook System NIOS update (AND processor) keeps a failure...

    Any ideas?

Please keep it simple, I'm not very good with technical information. :-)

    Greg

    Hi Greg,.

    Try the following.

If the update of the bios still work in HPSA, click the Stop button.

Close HPSA, restart the computer, and then download the update of the Bios from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp75001-75500/sp75199.exe

Once the download is complete, close other open windows and programs, then open your download folder and double-click the installer to start the process.  The real flash will occur when you restart the machine - do not interrupt it somehow, even if nothing seems to be happening for a while - when it is finished, the machine will load in Windows as usual.

Note:  If the update option arises as being 'blocked on this device', you will need to contact HP in this regard.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7 - HP BIOS update

    Good afternoon

When I run the HP Support Assistant, under the button "updated and of the developed"; the tab "actions".  He tells me to update my BIOS.

I select and menu drop down it states the following:

    • SoftPaq = SP61028
    • Version = F.29

I select the download button and it does the new window and follow the download process.  When complete I chose to "restart" as requested.  Go through the necessary process.  Back on the desktop.

If I open the HP Support Assistant and look under the same as in the first sentence.  He told me that I should update the BIOS and is the the same thing again.

I tried 3 times to update my BIOS.  Is there a problem with the download?

Seems to me having 'weird' things going on with my laptop the past few weeks.  Hard to explain but I post something earlier on the Interactive Services detection window popping up.  Also my Mozilla Firefox keep gel (not answer) as well as a few other software.   I ran tune-up and make sure that I defragment on a weekly basis; seems to help.  I use ESET NOD32 Antivirus and it to update as it supposed to.

    Any suggestions?

    Help

    Robyn

    Hello again LuvGSPointers.

It turns out that SP61028 is the latest BIOS for your laptop.  However, you go ahead and try to download it directly from HP support site and install it.  Here is a direct link.

I also suggest that you uninstall and reinstall HP Support Assistant.  Here is a link to the latest version of HP Support Assistant.

Nice day.  I'll keep an eye out for your next reply.

  • HP Envy x 360: updated HP Notebook System Bios (Intel processor)

I updated my BIOS version before (about a month) but I just found out that the HP Notebook System Bios Update (Intel processor) would have been forgotten. I actually cancelled this update and when I tried to do it again once it does me no more. I contacted the HP Chat Support at that time here and they said that my laptop was very good. I got a blue screen of death once and that's all. It was the only issue I've had with my laptop. After that I have updated to the latest version of the update of the birthday a week ago w10. I don't have any problems with it, my laptop works well. I have not encountered any problems. I just reccently bought this 2 months ago.

Well recently, I got an update in the HP Support Assistant about an update to the Intel 10 series driver. I contacted HP Chat Support and they said that my laptop doesn't have the driver. It was an update General and not directed to any specific PC. Long story short, he said as I have no need, I don't need to update and that my laptop was fine. The Windows 10 anniversary update... Well updates everything that said the tech.

    I was just wondering:

    1. is the HP Notebook System BIOS (Intel processor) update updated CRITICISM that I really need to find a link or something to update?

    2. is it harmful that I have doesn't have the update?

    3. do I really need updating?

    4. is this the reason that the HP Support Assistant advised me on the Intel 10 series driver?

My Version of the Driver is: 20.19.15.4377

I hope that I have provided all the information that might help you to help me solve my problem.

Answer all my answers and also explain are GREATLY appreciated.

I thank very you much in advance!

    @PaulineTan

Thanks for the reply to my post,

And Yes you have covered everything, I hope!

The 10-anniversary of windows update would install all updates driver concerned as well, so the BSOD issue you referred previously.

    (1) Although the update is not important, you can go ahead and install it as at the moment (this is optional).

    (2) Yes, you can, basically, there is nothing to worry about.

    (3) No, it is not critical.

    (4) No, it will not damage your computer.

More updates to the bios contains a fix for the specific issues, published by the manufacturer of the motherboard (bios) and at this point because you don't have any problems on the computer, you don't have to install it.

Let me know, if you need anything else!

    Kind regards.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6-6192sl Entertainment Notebook computer. Based on the specifications, this model supports "HP Switchable Graphics". Intel driver was will refuse to install it because of the customization of HP. The provided HP driver Intel you have downloaded and tried to install is for the models that have no switchable graphics. The graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) is the pilot of the only viable solution because it contains the AMD and Intel drivers needed for your computer.

An option that is very popular with people who want more drivers, is the third-party provider http://leshcatlabs.net/.  -I recommend read you and well understand why driver signature enforcement must be disabled to load these drivers and what risks it may pose. • Driversproblem on my HP Pavilion dv6-6001eo Entertainment Notebook PC

    Hello!

I want to get help with my device manager. It seems to me that I don't have the drivers installed that I need, but I read in a forum that only the drivers that are required should show, so now I'm not sure. I have the following system: ' HP Pavilion dv6-6001eo Entertainment Notebook PC ' with ' Windows 7 Home Premium '.

    My questions are the following:

    1. Why have I not 2 on my computer video card drivers? Who do I really or is something wrong? I have "AMB M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 v.8.801.1.2000" and "AMD Radeon HD 6650 M v.8.801.1.2000". When I look at my specifications on the HP home page it says I should have the next video card: "AMD Radeon HD 6650 M (1 GB of DDR3 memory)".

    2. Why have I not 6 installed on my computer network adapter drivers? Who do I really or is something wrong? I ' Bluetooth device (personal area network) v.6.1.7600.16385 ', "device Bluetooth (heading RFCOMM Protocol TDI) v.6.1.7600.16385", "Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n v.5.60.350.23", "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter v.6.1.7600.16385", "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller v.7.49.927.2011" and "VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter v.4.2.12.0".

My network connections look like this:

3 why do I get Bluetooth drivers on my network card drivers and a Bluetooth radio? When I look at my specifications on the HP home page it says I should have the following wireless connection: "wireless 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth network connection ' but I don't think I have Bluetooth on my system, although he says in the specifications and in my drivers. Should I really have Bluetooth and how to enable it in this case?

I really hope that someone could help me with this and I would appreciate it a lot. :-)

    / Emma

    Hey CrystalDeejay,

Thanks for your questions. In fact, your device manager is just as it should. Your model (like many others) has switchable graphics. It has a discreet graphics card: the AMD Radeon HD 6650 M. Other features include an integrated graphics chip: the Radeon HD 4250. The purpose of having two is that you can have the best of games (or other graphics to high performance) when you want it and extended battery life when you're not playing. The chip uses a lot less battery and it automatically when your adapter is unplugged and you are running on battery power. The discreet 6650M is more powerful and he went to automatically when the power adapter is connected. Therefore, you need both of these drivers.

Your network adapters and Bluetooth drivers are just as should be also. Every item listed has its own purpose.

Yes, you have Bluetooth. You can connect Bluetooth devices to your computer as a Bluetooth headset communication device, or some keyboards and mice are Bluetooth.

To connect a Bluetooth device, make it discoverable and:

    1. click on start

    2. click on devices and printers right

    3. at the top, click on 'add a device '. Your device should be shown in the next window if it is in "Pairing Mode" or "discoverable".

If you have a smart phone, most of the people can transfer some files via Bluetooth.

To transfer files via Bluetooth (select):

    1. click on start

    2. tap 'blue '.

    3. Click Bluetooth file transfer, and follow the instructions.

Let me know if you have any questions! I hope this information is useful

  • How to reinstall Vista on a new hard drive in a HP Pavilion dv6-1128tx Entertainment Notebook PC

Original title: ok, so I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1128tx Entertainment Notebook PC

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1128tx Entertainment Notebook PC right... and my hard drive crashed just completely, I had a new hard drive and now I want again to install windows Vista on it, but I don't have a restore cd but I have a back on my old operating system... What can I do? Help?

is there anyway that I can restore my operating system...?

    Hello

What do you mean by: "I have a return upwards on my old operating system?"

You make an image and with what program?

If this is not a picture read more.

Contact HP and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • HP TrueVision HD webcam does not work on HP Pavilion dv6-6179er Entertainment Notebook PC

Hi, my HP TrueVision HD webcam stopped working a week ago. My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-6179er Entertainment Notebook PC series. Its model number is QA398EA. Product number: QA398EA #ACB. Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1. When the webcam did not work on my Skype I downloaded Youcam, but it does not detect the camera as well. Thus, neither Skype nor Youcam can see the camera on my laptop. When I looked through the Device Manager, it appeared that the imaging devices category had disappeared from the Device Manager list. I tried for portable stop, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds, as has been noted in this web site. However, imaging devices has not appeared. When I click Add legacy hardware (in the Device Manager Action menu) imaging devices appear in the list. However, computer does not detect the TrueVision HD driver, it detects some other driver out of place and combine it with imaging device. Looks like one of the two options: either driver webcam has been removed from the computer or a hardware problem with the camera. Is it possible that I can download driver HP TrueVision HD camera in my computer to see if it is a driver problem or hardware? Appreciate your help in advance. Thank you.

    Rufat

    Hi Sophie,.

The generic Webcam driver is part of the operating system and not available for download. Looks like it's a hardware problem with the Webcam. I would recommend that you ask a local technician or call HP. You can reach HP Total Care at 1-800-474-6836 in North America or Start here if you live outside of North America.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3150us Entertainment Notebook not start after sitting on the side.

Hello! I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3150us Entertainment Notebook that works under Windows 7. Last week, I traveled with him in Florida, and when I arrived and tried to turn on the laptop, it wouldn't start. The screen was white with thin lines going through it and the screen turned slowly black. I disassembled the computer and put it back together (which I have experience with, I installed a new fan at the beginning of last year) and he came in safe mode. This ihappened still once I put the laptop in my bag on back and then he pulled out a few minutes later (without even moving) and when I got home. I tested the hard drive and memory, and they both passed. Other that this question, the computer has worked fine. I need to get this problem solved, because I am a PhD student and travel frequently with your laptop. Could someone help me please? What causes this problem? Thank you.

You have a spare battery compatible from a vendor in the source line and save yourself money.  Just make sure that the seller guarantees the compatibility and gives a 12 month warranty.
