  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: HP Pavilion does not connect to Internet (resolved)

I recently got a HP Pavillion Entertainment, model number dv7 - 3188cl, for me to use for a class at the school by my uncle. Before the recovery, everything worked perfectly well. My uncle asked me to reset the computer, so we used the recovery disks that wiped the hard drive successfully but then refuses to reinstall the operating system. Instead of getting another set of recovery disks that I've used a Windows 7 install disc to reinstall the OS and he did so successfully with one flaw, the laptop does not connect to the internet.

I tried to connect via ethernet and it does not find my WiFi network. I suspect his lack a driver and checked for drivers on the HP site but he said that there is none. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if there is no driver for this I would be grateful if you could tell me where to download from.

    Thanks in advance.

Update: after some search Intel had the good driver needed.

All your Windows 7 drivers (and some) are displayed on your Support page:

And if it's a Sata Drive more recent OD are sata you just have to make sure that it is a DVD burner and then swap the front to match the original.

  • Windows 7 on a single Core processor

    I have a celeron (core) 2.0 Ghz;

    RAM - 2 GB (DDR2)
    Hard drive 160 GB
If I install windows 7 ultimate, if he runs fast?
    Please tell me...
I need to use photoshop, netbeans and other related applications,
    It works well?

    It will work...

Celeron is not the cpu performance and are at the bottom of the core performance charts.

To make up for it a bit, you will need to more memory, double what you have now.

Your graphics card can let you down too. What is it?

    Hello

First of all, regarding the manual of maintenance on the link below--remove and reposition your bars of memory.

If the above makes no difference try the following.

Again, regards to the manual on the link below, delete one of your modules from memory and then see if the computer will start.  If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location.  If it is still won't start, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to boot up normally.

The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed from Page 63 of your & Maintenance Guide.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion dv7-6b56nr: HP Pavilion dv7-6b56nr Entertainment Notebook PC processor Upgrade?

I the Pavilion dv7-6b56nr notebook and want to upgrade the processor and the video.  In the research forums, I found this guide Maintenance and maintenance for dv7 series machines: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778

    My machine has currently a processor 2.30 GHz AMD A6 - 3400M (1.40 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

    My question is:

I read the service correctly guide in can I switch to a processor 2.70 GHz AMD A8-3550MX (2.00 GHz FSB, 4, 0 - MB L2 cache, quad core, 45 W)?

Combined, the machine automatically provides the necessary 45W for the new piece as opposed to the 35W uses the current chip?

The motherboard will support the 45w processor, Yes. You may want to also consider a stronger but not absolutely necessary adapter.

  • Pavilion DV7 and projector

I have a new CV7 Pavilion with a hybrid graphics (energy saving). I also have a Panasonic projector (dated). I found that to get the projector to work, I have to start the computer on battery and then plug it into the sector to choose to stay on the low power graphics, or I just get a blue screen on the wall! The computer seems to know that the projector is connected, it changes the display size on the screen of my laptop. There must be an easier way. I use Windows 7 3 transformers and loads of RAM. My wife has a DV6 also with Windows 7 and it works the first time, every time. I connect using a VGA cable.

Thank you 1 million for your time

Yes, I tried it on a screen, no problem!

    Ok.

This means that the problem is the projector if you have used the same VGA cable. If this is not the case, try another cable.

Your laptop works as advertised because he worked with the monitor.

  • Upgrade the processor with AMD 10 - 4600M of HP Pavilion dv7-6101er (lz661ea) FS1 and FS1r2 taken

Hello friends. I own HP Pavilion dv7-6101er (lz661ea) and I want to upgrade processor. Current processor is A6-3410MX and socket FS1 I want to replace for socket AMD A10-4600 M FS1r2. But I'm not shure will be new processor works in my notebook? I asked this question in support of the ADM, they said that the two CPU is compatible, but need software support in the bios of the specific laptop models. I can't put this question to the HP support because the time of free assistance of my model is over. Please ask - my notebook BIOS will support a new processor?

All of what you have written - I understand that. But understanding and you - the replacement of the processor is necessary because the lack of performance. For a new book, I have no money. You are an employee of HP and can really help to ask someone of your colleagues who will know exactly to run the new AMD processors in my notebook. All my books have HP I have always helped the company - buy its products, help me and you now. I'm not pleading for much - just a concrete answer - will work or not?

    N° !! That's where you're wrong. I'm not an employee of HP.

Very few of us here in the forums are employees of HP. Those who are, with few exceptions, are here volunteer their time to help the owners of HP products. It is a peer to peer forum, where the owners of HP products share their time and expertise, helping others who need assistance. We are here to help. We help voluntarily.

There is no concrete answer on this. Sometimes an upgrade to a non supported CPU will work, but more often it will fail.  Read my previous posts. The risk of any currency you use in your country to buy the new processor is yours, not me, or HP.

Here's a solid answer for you... Use a processor that is listed in the Service & maintenance Guide and your chances of success of upgrade will increase considerably.  I can't say that your upgrade success will be guaranteed because there's always the chance you can break something during the assembly/disassembly or not having knowledge of a critical assembly/disassembly procedure and inadvertently destroy your new processor.

If you want a high-performance CPU and chipset in a laptop computer, then choose when making a purchase of laptop. Computer laptop/notebooks are not actually intended to be upgraded.
