• 10.11.5 update fails, the system crashes after update

  iMac 27 "end 2015, SST 1 GB, 32 GB of RAM

  After update 10.11.4 via App Store 11.5 system hangs on commissioning, all programs seem to have disappeared (they are still on the drive, but cannot be started). Tried to reinstall 11.4, works fine and all is well. Reinstall the update brings back the problem. Cannot start in safe mode. Tried to download the full OS x and install it, same problem as with the update. Not yet tried a clean install.

  I have windows vista and after having worked on my pc (write an email), my computer is automatically restarted because of a windows update (one of these auto restart after that 5 minutes if I don't cancel) However, whenever he hits the stage 3 3 update, it will automatically restart again! After about 10 restarts I tried to start in safe mode, but it always strikes the same problem.

  If you have the vista installation disk, you can try to repair the computer and try to perform a startup repair.

• Pavilion dv7-1110eo: HP Pavilion dv7-1110eo error after update BIOS startup

  I've updated the BIOS (it is now Hewlett-Packard F.49) with a download from the HP Web site. I wish I had not done that because it's my portable patient. When start it freezes and the only thing that I see is black screen with HP logo. No button works.

  Later I discovered that BIOS itself is not the problem (I tried to get back the old version for a long time without success), it is the connected USB devices or USB ports, don't know. My laptop starts normally and works perfectly if I remove all plug-ins USB until I press the power button. After the black screen is passed I can plug the USB and they work too. I wonder if any of you ever faced this kind of problem...! If you have and you know how to solve this problem, please help. (Finnish HP customer service couldn't help me).

  Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv7-1110eo Entertainment Notebook and questions with a BIOS update. You can reset the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. Helping other people.

  Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some problems.

  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system, including USB devices.

  Thunderbird did an automatic update. After that, whenever I try to run it, the system reboots.

  A clean installation and a restoration of Mozbackup and a few reboots solved the problem.
  I'll replace the disk as soon as possible.

  I have problems with the original of my HP Pavilion dv6 PC hard drive portable. I get an alert (SMART disk error 301) every time that I reboot, but I can still load my Windows 7.

  I just bought a new hard drive (SSD SATA3), but I would like to recover my original OS using my license key.

  How can I do? Should I create a partition on the new disk (D, copy the contents of my RECOVERY disc and use Esc + F11 after reboot?) Do I need a recovery CD/DVD? In this case, can I create one of my system?
