HP2210m

Just changed laptops. 10 year, Toshiba w / XP. This new unit is another Toshiba, but w/Windows 7. The monitor works GREAT with the old portable th.. Now, it doesn't have the mode full screen with the laptop more recent. There is a large (1-1/2 ") black area above and below the currently displayed page. How can I get a full screen again?

Thank you

Hello HPM - P,.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that your monitor shows black bars at the top and bottom on your new PC Toshiba laptop. The reason why this works on your old Toshiba and not your new is because you have different resolutions on both. Check your screen reolutions and make the necessary adjustments. You may need to update your drivers on your new Toshiba and if you are unsure of how to do this, I recommend that you contact Toshiba.

I also provide a document from Microsoft Support: get the best display on your monitor, which will give you some tips on get the best display possible on your screen when you run Windows 8.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

From time to time my (HP2210m) screen will Dim and it shows that I have no connection (I use a dvi connection).  The only thing I can do is to restart the desktop computer to retrieve the video.  Any ideas?

I downloaded the driver.  If all goes well, it will go around.  Thank you.
