HTML5 & flash in web page options

Hello

I hope I can explain this correctly...

I have a file in swf format (this is a banner with the evolution of several no images, no sound) at the moment but it will not play on ipads and some phones that do not support flash... So, I'm after something simple that will play the html5 (mp4, ogv, webm) files in the browser and fall to the SWF file if the browser is not compatible.

I thought I had struck lucky when I found this code on the site w3schools like many of the more complicated codes and beyond what I knew... and it is tidy. (A large number of converters html5 gave me load of masses of code that worked but was waaaaaaay to long)

So I used a converter to convert my file swf in html5 and it told me that each file type that I set on the server and I put this code between the body tags (just change "a film" in the name of my video) etc... and transferred. At first the converter (freemake video converter) just recognised my 1 minute of video as a clip of 1 sec and black poster, but as a tester I downloaded files and it shows this black 1 second clip on the ipad and the flash file in internet explore. I thought bingo, if I can get it to convert my swf correctly file that should work.

So I tried to convert the SWF again and he has just done the same, black. So I used the mp4 file and converted in html5, so I can get the bits webm and ogg out of it. (Maybe this has caused the problem, but I'm looking into that)

Now, he plays very well in internet explore. But the ipad doesn't always detect it, plays just a cross. I wonder if this is the code above or something stupid? My guess is that it's something to do with the actual files, but I thought I was asking here if it's something obvious I asked before and everyone so helpful!

Thank you very much

This is a banner with the evolution of several no picture, no sound.

Then video is certainly exaggeration here.  Simply rotate static images.  Very simple to do with jQuery Cycle or as mentioned Rik WOW or Nivo slider.

However, when you browse some other sites, occasionally IE displays the following message: "this website wants to install the following add-on: 'Adobe Flash Player' of"Adobe Systems Incorporated".» I clicked on the "Install" button and the Flash Player is reinstalled, but continues to display the same message over and over again. In any case, the Flash content is read correctly.

Click the damaged page (compatibility view mode) in one area.  When you use I.E.9, if a site has problems with Flash Player, always first try compatibility view mode.

In my case, that the place does not - it just let page to the original format. My only option is to use the dashboard which reduces the page at least - an icon in the taskbar.

The icon in the Middle toggle between maximized and resizable. When the window is resizable, you can click and drag upward from the lower right to resize the window.

I want to display a web page (tab on the display Image or Web Page Options).

I created the web page and step and it works, but the dialog is great.  There is plenty of space dead around him.  Is there a way to control (via the software), the size of the dialog box.

I have attached the files that I created.

Unfortunately, I believe that those are hard coded in the msgbox.dll.  You have the source code and could rebuild if you have the CVI.  The variable to look for is called STD_MARGIN in the file msgbox.c. I could not find a way through the API to change this.

  • Flash .swf content that is not displayed on the Web page

The code in the HTML to the swf seems to be missing a whole bunch of settings, but I can't point the finger to say that it won't work.

The best advice I can offer to get started is to use the code in the html page that Flash creates when you publish (be sure to have the html option selected in the settings of publication). You will see two sections of < script=""> and < noscript=""> which places the swf file in the html page and up in the head section will be one or two lines of code related to a javascript file: AC_RunActiveContent.js, you will need to include as well. Also, don't forget to copy the AC_RunActiveContent.js file on the server (Flash adds this file in swf file when you publish).

See if it works for you.

I use Windows 8.1 and 10.0 on different desktops and laptops, and I have the same response to certain web pages. I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (19) installed.

(Shockwave) Flash Player is not among the list of Plugins that you have on your system, your system details more right of the post.

Note: the ActiveX of Flash Player for IE version only works in IE and not other browsers.

Download Firefox completely Plugin-based browsers versions and then install Flash.

  • Put links to video files in web pages - want option 'Open with' when the viewer clicks on the links.

If I go to a video file that is stored in my computer, for example xyz.mp4 and right click on it, one of the options is 'Open with' and several options for example QuickTime player, RealPlayer are presented for me to choose. But when I add the file to a web page and create a link to it for example http://sillyvideos.com/xyz.mp4 and then I right click on this link (on the web page) in my Firefox browser, I don't get the option 'open with '. My question is: is it possible to put a link to a video in a web page, so I or other viewers can click right on it and benefit from the option 'open with' (so we can choose the drive to open it, without having to download first in our computers)?

Normally what happens, is that the server sends the content with one or more headers that dictate what Firefox did with the video.

For example, if the content is sent with a header that Firefox can play internally, then Firefox can open the video in a tab and use a built-in player. You can see with MP3s when the server says that it is "audio/mpeg" content. However, if the server sends a content type that a capable of handling plugin, Firefox can attempt this plugin.

Normally Firefox will assume that the content is meant to be displayed in the browser, unless it is an unknown type or has a content-disposition header set to "attachment". In these cases, Firefox usually has open/save/Cancel dialog box.

I don't know what kinds of choices you want to offer visitors to your site, but if you thought giving them a choice of the players external , sending to content-disposition: attachment to make appear the probably the most logical open/save/Cancel dialog box. With smaller files such as JPEG and PDF, I did it with a script on the server side (for example, a PHP script). I don't know if the script would work with multimedia files.

If you want to provide more choices, you might need the buttons or links in the page.

This example applies to a PDF file, but the same idea applies to the image files and it can work with files more mainstream media. (In this case, you change the script to specify the correct content type.)

Implementation of the PHP approach, you follow these steps. This assumes that your server supports PHP (most do so) and that your Web host allows you to download PHP files.

    (1) save the following as getpdf.php file

    http://www.jeffersonscher.com/RES/getpdf.php.txt

    (2) using a FTP software or your server download function, copy getpdf.php into the same folder as your PDF file

    (3) test with your link. In the address bar, or in an e-mail, insert the following text before the name of the PDF file:

    getpdf.php?f=

Thus, for example, this direct link to the PDF:

    http://www.jeffersonscher.com/RES/Mixed_Content_Blocking.PDF

would become this link to the PHP file:

    http://www.jeffersonscher.com/RES/getpdf.php? f =Mixed_Content_Blocking.pdf
