• Keyboard and a chain of control to the screen

  I feel a strange behaviour when I use the keyboard (OSK) and a chain of control on the screen.

  I develop an application that you can use the OSK to enter some data on a touch screen with no physical keyboard. I have a Machine to States Event-Driven set up at the key event to the bottom when a word/characters are entered and the user presses the Enter key on the OSK. I noticed that if I probe the wire wuen Vcle I press the Enter key on the OSK, it appears like a back press. Not much, I thought, just to see if the Enter key is pressed and continue on.

  When I went to test my program, I noticed that my values were as if nothing has been entered. Digging a little further, I noticed that my original data are still there if I press the BACKSPACE and delete the return order. Probe string wire in the control of the chain indicates that the value comes back as an empty string in my control channel even if my entire string is physically still there. I can press the BACKSPACE (remove the carriage return) and see my original text. What, in my view, that happens, is when I press the Enter key on the OSK, it inserts something and moves my text upwards or downwards, and when I use the node property to retrieve the data in the control of the chain, I get an empty string.

  How did you get around this? I would like to hear your solutions.

  Have you tried right-clicking on the control of the chain (assuming that it is "ID mould to enter") and by assigning the value 'limit to the single line "? Sounds like your settings cause hit enter to add a line instead of the finish of your entry change. (You can also change the behavior of 'back' in your settings of LabVIew)

  Question 1 is a simple transfer of a single file.

  1. From the Finder, press shift + cmd + G keys to go to the folder. Copy and paste the following in this dialog box:
     ~/Library/colors

     4. Copy the color swatch file El Capitan in Yosemite file location

  It is to be expected. Only the native time remapping affects sound, but given that EI is not an audio processing application, the quality is terrible. You must use the hearing or a similar program.

  A drop-down list is the bad INTERFACE design where an element can contain more than 100 entries. It is very good in tests, but absolutely unacceptable if the form must be used by a person busy doing their work. The choice of Acrobat forms are limited, but consider a list box. Despite this, there may be limits imposed by the system or the implementation.

  Better would be

  (a) stop filling after awhile the list and add an entry saying several elements not shown, running report or use better filter

  (b) be available for all filtering of course lists

  Is it possible to loopback programmatically via the node parameter forms get the name and value of each parameter. I don't know the name of the individual parameters in advance. I want to display the parameter names and values on a help screen generic as each of our reference forms.
  
  I could do somewhat similar code to display all names of block in a first_block get_form_property property and nextblock property get_block_property is formed. I can't think in the same way as the parameter names and the values of the list if.

  If you have a string which you want digital data, you can use certain features of the range of the chain. For example, if you know the exact location of the numerica data in the string, you can use the String subset function (just specify the character in which we will start the research and the amount of characters to be read). Once you have the string, you can use the analysis of string function, which allows you to format the string to a numeric value that you can graph. I have attached the image of functions.

  

  You can find them in the channel Palette in the block diagram. If you want to know how they work, you can use help, by pressing Ctrl + H and by moving the mouse on the functions.

• Tables property multi-column Listbox property node and value

  I'm putting a common use case I have with MCLs in a nice utility reusable VI, where I want the user to select zero, one or more elements of a MCL and decant the content selected for an another MCL. The best way to achieve this is by the way a reference to my source and destination MCLs to the Subvi and then access the properties Value and Ref.

  However... knots of property for the strict MCL types return a Value equal to a scalar I32 property, rather than the table of I32s I need for 0 or more modes of selection.

  There are a few approaches that I can use here:

  -Move in the control of the appellant VI values table

  -Disconnect the data type of the control, which means that statements of value a Variant, then the variant to the data in the table of I32

  -Set the reference to a generic control type, then do the above

  -Convert the reference to a MCL contained inside the Subvi

  The first would be my favorite long term, which allows me to group the utility in a polymorphic VI. The second option would be my favorite, I know that the Subvi is going to live within a set of exclusive MCL utilities.

  Did I miss something? Is there a way simpler, easier to do this?

  In fact, you can create a polymorphic VI for each type of strict.  See the sample code attached or published excerpts.

  I m just started using teststand.

  My simple question is related to the function "test string value '. What is the difference between the "type of comparison' CASE SENSITIVE and IGNORE CASE? From my point of view are not really meaningful names.

  To avoid simple and stupid questions like that, I tried to use the internal helper function. I'm wrong when I say that the help features are not as good as in labView? I couldn t find any answer to my question... hmmm... How other people handle this situation? (outside of just trying?)

  Case SENSITIVE: it will fail if you compare "HELLO" with 'Hello' or 'A' with 'a '.

  IGNORE CASE: this will pass if you compare "HELLO" with 'Hello' or 'A' with 'a '.

• Problem with strtok and a chain with '-' home ' end

  I faced a problem with 'strtok' that I programmed a function that has checked a directory (String) on the existence and if it does not exist it would create this directory. This problem only occurred in the case of this "strtok" - broken chain is a '-' end of the string.

  Example: Directory string is "E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\".

  The function tests if "E:\\xyz" exists and if not it creates.

  The function tests if "E:\\xyz\\uvw" exists and if not it creates.

  ... and so on...

  The function tests if "E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm" exists and if not it creates.

  After using this function with a 'E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\' directory string, I use another function with the 'E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\' directory string as parameter (creating a file inside - a text log file!). But now, in this second function (in debug mode!) the directory-string 'E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\' is just 'E' - nothing more! The rest is missing!

  BUT if I use the directory string 'E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm' instead, the directory-string 'E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\' into the next function is "E:\\xyz\\uvw\\abc\\qwertz\\bnm\\"!

  He is as 'strtok' gives an error in the compiler that influences the following chain of office setting.

  Perhaps it affects the following string in general, but that does not test.

  My solution is:

  I have check the string in the first function on '-' is there end. If there is '------' I cut it away--as long as there is a '-' and the string is greater than 1.

  In my case, simply check the chain on '------' has is fine and is it y a '------', I cut it and continue with that of 'cut', as it is a '-' to an end and the string is longer than 1.

  I am trying to scan a barcode with a barcode usb HID scanner. I use a structure of the event to detect the change in the value of a control of the chain. When I scan the barcode, the chain control updates on the front panel, but the event does not fire until I left on my mouse on the front panel. can someone help? See attached vi

  Your barcodes are probably fixed length. When you get an event, check the length. If it corresponds to the length of the barcode, then process the data, otherwise wait for more characters.  This can be treated very quickly in the case of the event.
