I always lose my printer by default when I shut down my pc, what can be the cause of this?

I have several printers on the network. My intention is that one of them is always the default printer which I have duly appointed. But, every time that a user turns off his computer, the default printer is also changed to another on the same network. Help me with that. My operating system is Windows XP.

Hello

Are these printers connected directly to the network or by another machine?  If this computer is not upward, then it would stand to reason that we could not connect to the printer it might not be the default printer.

If printers and computers are connected to the printer, then I recommend you post this question in the TechNet forum.

You can check this question in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
