I can overlay a text layer in light on a digital transcript (pdf), which makes it searchable via OCR?

Hello

I scanned a handwritten transcript in PDF format, and would like to easily search and locate any keyword in the scanned document. Is Adobe Acrobat DC layers support custom text?

Acrobat, Yes. Acrobat Reader (the focus of this forum), no.

In Acrobat, you would go to "Text recognition" and choose "searchable Image". This will be recognize the text, put in the background but leave the image.

    I have a paper to header company created to a PDF file.  I want to add text of letters to the letterhead, but don't know how.  Help, please.

    Hi tatestar1,

    You would need Acrobat to edit the header of your PDF, or add text to any application used to create the header in the first place and then recreate the PDF file. If you have the source file, then the latter may be easier.

  • No matter what widget that can overlay (hover) text on Slideshow Lightbox?

    Hi guys

    I need a widget that can superimpose text on thumbnails of lightbox.

    Here is my case:

    I created a regular album from muse default widgets (slideshow lightbox)

    and it does the job fine.

    However, I would like to add a little effect on the tile. Placing the cursor on the thumbnail I honor the thumbnail to turn in a colorful box, and with my own text.

    So far, I found an add on widgets that does this, but they are working on a still image and not on a lightbox widget / miniatures

    I don't know if the 3rd party widgets can interact with muse ones, so its fine again for me if I have to use a 3rd party widget completely for the lightbox

    Hope that I managed to explain what I need

    Thanks in advance

  • Layer styles Photoshop 2015 not appearing is not in CS6 on a pixelated text layer

    It made by a mistake of text at the beginning when I open it. But if the layer is rasterized should elsewhere?

    Thanks in advance

    If it's a layer style and your text has a fill (all-solid), you can put the text layer in a group. Add your new layer for the group style. Add the desired above the Group fill color and hang it on the group.

    If the text has been rasterized, you can just lock the transparency of the layer and then fill the entire layer with any color you want also, then add a new layer style.

    These two things will work with CS6.

  • How can I create text with Fireworks?

    Items 13, Windows.

    Thank you.

    Using the layer style salt described in the link of the Peru Bob, here is a step by step to create this effect:

    1. create a new text layer and use the option string to the curve this. Not simplify layer.

    2 duplicate the text layer and activate temporarily its visibility.

    To make the Red spark on the 1st layer of text:

    3. apply the style for the layer of salt.  The style of pepper works also.

    4. layer > layer Style > scale effects and enlarge the scale. In this example, I've doubled the default 100% to 200%.

    5. Ctrl-click on the layer to select all the text (less the spark).

    6. copy and paste the selection into a new layer.

    7. Ctrl-click on the new layer to select all the text.

    8. simplify the original text layer and delete the selection, leaving just the spark.

    9 Ctrl-click to select only the sparks and fill with red.

    10. If you want to make transparent text so that the sky shows, delete the layer created in step 6 or disable its visibility (as in the example).

    To make the yellow spark:

    11 move the text layer duplicate to the bottom of the stack and repeat steps 3 through 10 with this change alone:

    The scale of the effects use a larger scale for the Red spark.

    Later change a color sparkle, ctrl-click that layer and add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer above it.

  • I use an iMac with El Capitan and Photoshop CS6. I'm trying to add a shadow to a text on a picture. I followed the instructions to double the text layer but not dropshadow dialog box appears and I can't. Where would it be?

    Double click on the text on the right side of the display panel does not cause a dialog box open. I just need to know where the dialog box is so I can add the drop shadow

    Please make sure that you double-click on the text layer in the layer panel not the name of the layer. With the text, it can be difficult if the name is too long. You can also right-click on the text layer in the Panel and bring up the contextual menu and select 'blending Options '.

  • How can I update the path of overlays of text?

    We include an amount of text for the FM files inlays.

    In this early period, there are changes that occur.

    If the name or the path of a text encrusted change, you need to repeat the

    import procedure for each single text Medallion.

    For chart changes referenced FM (path or name) has a very well working procedure:

    When loading a file of FM, only a message appears with the incorrect graphic file. You have

    to change the reference and the correction is made.

    If you have changed the name of the graphical directory you will need to change the new name of the

    first graphic file and all references will change automatically later.

    Both procedures does not work for text inserts. My questions:

    I work with FM 10: someone knows if there is a work around for me?

    Anyone know if there are characteristics of overlays of text processing in FM 12?

    Thanks in advance

    A nice.

    I'm glad to hear that you have decided to take the plunge! I knew not what experience you have ever had, so I try to go further. With specific questions, I'm happy to help you further.

    For literal addresses in Javascript and most of the other languages (that is, a quoted string), a backslash is a special character. So, to finish with a single backslash, you must put two. He called an "escape sequence". In any case, from your comments, I think the following would be appropriate:

    var searchString = "documentation\\modules";

    var replaceString = "documentation\\manual\\ti";

    Congratulations to find how open the Toolbox ESTK and run the script. In addition, the script reports just how many ways it set... it is not sufficiently advanced to actually determine if they have been adjusted to be valid paths. It would be a relatively simple addition to the script, but I didn't want to complicate things more far. If you are interested, however, I was able to work up to a more advanced sample that actually check if the target files exist when editing paths. That would be sloppy, I think. Let's see if you can get it to work in its first version, however.

    I should also add the warning to make backups before running scripts, or all the less, do not save anything until you know it is right. You seem to be enough common sense to know better, however.

  • How can we get the names of police of every text layer in a document?

    Hi all!

    I wanted to know how we can get the names of fonts applied in each text layer in a psd file. I tried the following,

    NumLayers Int32 = 0;

    calculate the number of text layers.

    error = PIUGetInfo (classTextLayer, keyCount and numLayers, NULL);

    for (int i = numLayers - 1; i > 0;--i)

    {

    char * fontName = new char [100];

    Int32 len = 100;

    get the name of the font of each layer by index.

    error = PIUGetInfoByIndex (I, classTextLayer, keyFontName, fontName and len);

    }

    Suppose I have a document that has 2 layers of text and 2 layers of solid color as shown in the screenshot. Note that this document does not have a background layer. So, number of layers is 4.

    Forum.JPG

    If the layer is a layer of solid color, then I get the number of layers 0. But, if the selection of the layer is at all layers of text, I get number of layers 4. Why not get the number of layers 2 I requested info in the instruction text layers, PIUGetInfo (classTextLayer, keyCount and numLayers, NULL).

    In addition, I get error =-25922 to PIUGetInfoByIndex (I, classTextLayer, keyFontName, fontName and len).

    which is errReferenceNotFoundDefine.

    How can I go about it?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    I usually have "remember" United in what image is and then start working on it. This allowes me to iterate through layers when draft information or perform an action, and then set the document (in the previous state, with this wantsof user change course). Using this approach I am using index layers, but I don't know as I work on the layer is curently active layer.

    Now

    Getting the numbers of layer in a document:

    SPErr AMAutoPlugin::GetLayNum()

    {

    SPErr error = kSPNoError;

    numLayers Int32;

    Result PIActionDescriptor = NULL;

    Reference PIActionReference = NULL;

    error = sPSActionReference-> Make (& reference);

    If (error) goto returnError;

    error is sPSActionReference-> PutEnumerated(reference,classDocument,typeOrdinal,enumTarget);.

    If (error) goto returnError;

    error is sPSActionControl-> Get (& result, reference);.

    If (error) goto returnError;

    error = sPSActionDescriptor-> GetInteger (result, keyNumberOfLayers, & numLayers);

    If (error) goto returnError;

    stDocData.iNumLayers=numLayers;// is just my overall

    returnError:

    If (result! = NULL) sPSActionDescriptor-> Free (result);

    If (reference! = NULL) sPSActionReference-> Free (reference);

    error return;

    }

    Here is a part of the code (I hope you can understand that I have cut out a lot of)

    code that is not necessary in order to shorten the post) that retrieves the names of fonts.

    I used this approach since I have to get a lot more detailed information about text layers (not prsented here)

    I guess bu using routines from PIUGetInfoByIndex to aproprite, you can do much shorter.

  • How can I convert a text layer with fake fat in a form?

    Using hiking CS5 Extended and Windows 7 Home Premium. I try to convert a text layer to a shape, and I tells me it can not, because I have a fake "BOLD" style. Well, I don't put it in bold. I tried with Tahoma and Ariel. I tried no, sharp, crisp, strong and sweet. I checked the other posts here on false type probs, but no help.

    Hello, I have corrected the title.

    The option "BOLD" false figure at the bottom of the character Panel.

    The text tool is active, double-click the thumbnail of the text layer, and then press CTRL + T, it will pop up in the character, the fake "BOLD" Panel is the first button in the row of icons at the bottom of the Panel.

    You can also go to the window > character to open it or click the button on the options bar.

    As I said, you must use the paragraph type you want to use the justification options, no pointer type. And no, this isn't how the paragraph Panel should look like.

    Here's a quick script that can do. It assumes that there is a text file on your desktop named "name list.txt" it also assumes that the text using a return between names file, this can be changed to commas or anything else you want to use. You must also have an open file to make it work. It does not define the font or the font size, but you can put in the script or select all layers later and change it at once.

    #target photoshop
    var doc = activeDocument
    var textFile = new File(Folder.desktop+ '/name list.txt');
    var list = readText (textFile).split('\n');

  • Automation of the creation of a text layer for a user to manually add the text.

    Hello

    I wonder if someone can help me here?

    What I want to do is to write a script that creates a text layer, stops, and then prompts the user to add their text, then save the file.

    So far, I have this:

    app.activeDocument = docRef

    textColor = new SolidColor

    textColor.rgb.red = 255

    textColor.rgb.green = 255

    textColor.rgb.blue = 255

    helloWorldText = "Hello, World!"

    newTextLayer = docRef.artLayers.add)

    newTextLayer.kind = LayerKind.TEXT

    newTextLayer.textItem.contents = helloWorldText

    newTextLayer.textItem.position = Array (0.75, 1)

    newTextLayer.textItem.size = 36

    newTextLayer.textItem.color = textColor

    Obviously this script adds just whatever text is in the helloWorldText line.

    As I say I would like that the script stops, prompt the user to add their text, be approved, then fill the script.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you
