  It's usually easy to fix, but if you removed all the dll and inf files, you can have a bunch of other problems that you have not yet discovered.

  If you mean when you try to use Add/Remove Windows components you see a message like this:

  Install was not able to load the master file.
  The application could not be initialized.

  This happens because this file is missing:

  c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf

  There is no copy backup of this file on your system and run the System File Checker will not replace the missing file (sorry, that Microsoft committed Support Engineer 'experts').

  You will need to get a real copy of your XP bootable installation CD or from a reliable source.

  When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

  When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

  You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file named sysoc when the name of the file should really be called sysoc.inf (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

  You must then copy and paste the downloaded folder appropriate on your system.

  I can't add/subnet mask 31 255.255.255.254 ISP WAN > static IP setting in VPN Firewall SRX5308. When I try to apply it, I get the popup error message like "invalid IP subnet mask. Please enter 0/128/192/224/240/248/252 for octet 4 ". I try to add provider NTU fiber optic internet service in one of the 4 WAN settings. The vendor gave me a 31 block IP and the subnet as 255.255.255.254 mask. It is a limitation in this firewall? I have to ask the provider to give me a 30 block the IP instead? With 30 block IP subnet mask will be 255.255.255.252 who is authorized by this firewall setting. I tried this on another (SnapGear SG560) firewall and it works without any problem.   / 31 would be used in specific scenarios where you * really * need to keep the address space and on links only point to point. To be honest I've never met anyone, or any ISP that uses it. It works on point to point, because, well, there no need to broadcast address because there are only two devices on the link (one on each side of the cable)... IP address ranges would be;. 0-. 1,.2-. 3, etc.

  Most (if not all) Netgear devices will prevent you from setting 31, but you will probably be able to use without problem in all 30 cases, according to the setup of the ISP I do not think that it would cause you problems really. But if you can, I would certainly ask a 30 instead.

  Good news for you. The memory is expandable to customer. There is an easy access on the bottom door. See page 47 here.

  Using the function rename in Windows results in action that you said earlier, with all records even renamed with a number appended to the end. You can get the service you are looking for with a third party tool. A good search Bing.com for these would be something like Bulk Rename Utility or editor to rename block.
