  Help, please! I can't download anything on my computer. I am currently using windows 8 and Google Chrome. However, I tried to use Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox - neither work. The problem is that my download will start but about 1/16th of the way it stops just so that my bytes per second will be detached radically. I don't know what could be the cause of this problem. I tried to reset my computer to factory settings and delete all personal data, but that did not work or the other. In addition, I can't access some Web sites that they come just with a loading without end... and a white screen. I used CCleaner and Anti-Malwarebytes on my computer as well and they cleaned a material or removed certain subjects "malicious." Any help or suggestions would be phenomenal. Thank you!

  I would like to know - did you start the computer in "Safe Mode with network" to check if you are able to download in this mode.

  In Safe Mode, the network drivers will not be loaded and thanks to which you cannot connect to the Internet. But in Safe Mode with networking, the network drivers are also loaded with base on the computer drivers. So, please make sure that you select "Safe Mode with network" and then try to download using your browser application.

  You can also try to temporarily disable the McAfee Security program and check if this brings any change in status. To do this, please contact McAfee technical support.

  Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software.   Thank you! I tried what you mentioned, nothing has worked... I plugged a usb keyboard and it works, so I'm starting to believe it could be a motherboard problem. I finally got windows xp pro installed, no conflicts in Device Manager, all the drivers are installed and now running smooth. I removed the keyboard, and re-set, all connections look good, but still not good. the synaptics keyboard works fine and both rt & lft click the buttons. I pulled the ram to inspect it, it's the right speed, ddr2700, and after running for an hour, it was cold to the touch! I'll try to get a new keyboard and replace it, their pretty good work, if still not good it becomes pieces on ebay... lol tx again... Marty
