I can't disable the keyboard sleep wake

I have a laptop ASUS N80vn.

I want to be able to wake up my laptop ONLY by pressing the power button or the sleep button. I don't want another key on the keyboard to wake my computer from sleep. Currently, by pressing any key on the keyboard wake my computer from sleep mode.

Here's what I've tried:

1. go into Device Manager-> keyboards-> properties-> power management-> uncheck "allow this device to wake the computer".
Why it does not work : there is no power management tab in the properties of the my keyboard driver window.
I currently have four entries under ' keyboards in Device Manager:
Device keyboard filter
Keyboard 109 MCIR Microsoft eHome
Keyboard MCIR Microsoft eHome
Keyboard Microsoft eHome Remote control
There is no power management tab in one of them!

2. go in the BIOS, disable "Wake on keyboard.
Why it doesn't: there is no other choice "Wake on keyboard", or anything similar, in my BIOS.

3. open a command window, use the command of ' powercfg - devicedisablewake ' to disable the awakening of the keyboard.
Why it doesn't: 'powercfg - devicequery wake_armed' does not all devices currently configured to wake my computer from sleep mode. In addition, "powercfg - devicequery wake_programmable poster the ' does not indicate that my network card and my USB mouse are able to be set to wake my computer from sleep mode (both are currently defined NOT to wake up the computer); It makes no mention of the keyboard.

I am resigned to the idea that I have to change my registry, replace my keyboard drivers, or something just as intensively to prevent my keyboard to wake my computer, but I definitely want to do.

If it's important, I only installed computer to go into a S3 sleep and you have turned off the Hibernate.

Any ideas?

If you prefer to wake up the computer using the power button instead of using the keyboard, you can follow the steps and check if you can solve the problem.

1. open the power supply Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Power Options.

2, click change plan settings under the plan selected.

3. in the change the settings of the front page, click on change Advanced power settings.

4. on the Advanced Settings tab, expand power buttons and drop settings like the power sleep instead of shutdown.

5. click on apply and OK.

    I guess that what you mean is that when you type, your hand hits the trackpad causing a right click of the mouse. I used to have the same problem.

    If you go to the Hardware and Settings under control panel, you should see the settings for your trackpad. Under these settings, clear tapping to click. The trackpad still works, but hitting should not get them to click. The settings vary depending on the trackpad you have.

I want just the arrow keys to move the pages, and no matter if I use the arrow tool or hand (have here are already stupid), arrow keys do that move the caret.     Have tried turning off sounds horribly loud keyboard on Iconia A3 - A20 in the usual way IE. Sounds - settings - uncheck the key tones. Does not work. Found the only way to stop it is to turn off the speaker symbol on screen powering down. Problem is that, so the volume is completely disabled and can not hear notifications by e-mail, etc.. It's driving me crazy. Would be grateful for any thoughts/solutions to this. Worried that there is a fault that is only a week old.  My other Acer a B1 730 since always fine help please.

    It took some research, but that's how I kept the keyboard on the screen (OSK) of popping up on laptop my father with Windows 8.X:

    Control Panel\Ease of Access\Ease to access Center\Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard

    There is a checkbox to have the screen lights up with a log in.  Just uncheck it.
