Help

I'm sorry, but Windows Easy Transfer cannot do what you want: go from a 64-bit version to a 32-bit version.  You will have to do the job manually. Boulder computer Maven

If your 32 bit version has a valid key (non OEM), you can download 64-bit here: http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso (in English). If your 32 bit version OEM pre-installed, you must contact the manufacturer of your pc and request a replacement CD-ROM.

  • You can use a Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit code verification for download Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit?

I made a thread on another site that speaks of how I could not allocate enough RAM for a game and the main response that I had been upgraded to 64-Bit Windows 7 for 32-bit will not work. I was wondering if I could use the verification code to a Windows 7 Home Premium disk OS 32 bit, to show that I bought it, to download the same thing only 64-bit. Also the reason why I have OS 32-bit and plays heavy games is because I upgraded my MoBo, I need an operating system and my step dad had one so I used it.

PS Sorry if I put this in the wrong Windows topic.

Where can I download it? Is there a link that you could give me? If Yes please. Thank you very much for the help!

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

For information about how to modify your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, see the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

Once your computer is configured to boot from the DVD, you should see this option.

    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

    Hello

You can download SP2 for XP here (the good language):

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28

and here you can download the SP3 for XP (the good language):

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24

and how can you see the "system requirements" - you can directly install SP3, it means, that it is not necessary to install SP2 before SP3.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all updates previously released for the operating system

    Hello.

I do have a HP OEM DvD and I wonder if I can use Vista Home Premium 64 - bit RETAIL COPY my sister to reinstall my machine.
Basically, is it possible to OEM license for use on a DvD at retail?
    Thank you very much

    Hello

You can also use this method.

You do not have a Vista disc that came with the computer to reinstall with, you should have a recovery Partition to do.

Here is the HP Compaq information on how to use the recovery partition to put your computer in a new State.

You press F11 at startup or through their Recovery Manager.

It is all explained in this link.

  • How can I get Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit installed on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - Bit?

I decided to install Windows 7 on my computer for the 30 day free trial, but am now regretting it. I don't have the money to buy the product officially, so I want to reinstall my windows vista. I have the drive, but when I try to install the computer says that this version of windows is not compatible with it. How can I get my Windows Vista to install?

Also, I currently have windows 7 Home premium. It is a 32-bit operating system and is running on Service Pack 1. The version of windows that I am wanting to return is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.

I can't make the method for using the windows.old as my uncle decided to remove after installation of windows. I have 13, but even, I knew it was a bad idea. In any case, I would really help with this question.

Ranging from 32-bit to 64-bit is a single proposal for a NEW facility.

You can boot from the DVD and erase your old installation (wipe, from scratch, all not saved disappeared and everything must be installed manually - including drivers for hardware devices and software you have installed now) and install Windows Vista x 64.

  • Where can I download windows 7 home basic 64-bit iso, since my system got crashed?

Someone please help me get this link, so that I can go to windows 8.

I posted the procedure & required links in the forum replacement pre-installed with regular thread that can perform an installation DVD/USB for Windows 7.

Note that, as explained in the procedure, you can effectively use the ISO to another Windows 7 edition [such as Home Premium] because there is no ISO standard for Starter or Home Basic.  Then, you make a simple change that into an installer of Windows 7 Edition multi installation DVD/USB.  Your product key only works if you select Windows 7 correct edition during the installation of the property.

A side effect of the modification is that the DVD/USB installation cannot do all functions of repair that can a normal installation DVD/USB.  For this reason, you should also do a system repair disc (see the left side of the screen for Windows backup).

Before doing this, consider what your PC manufacturer has already provided you with.  They will have provided a way to re - install Windows 7.  They may be provided with a DVD, put it in a partition Factory Image Restore or you given a utility to make your own recovery discs.  The manual of your PC should explain what facilities they provided - if you have lost the manual then go to their website to discover or to download a pdf of the manual copy.

  • Where can I download Windows Home Premium 7 64 bit when I have a product key?

A few years ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 Home prem OA. Earlier this year the computer crashed, and I downloaded a new windows 7 by using the same product key. The version is containing a large number of viruses etc...

I have no knowledge where to download a windows 7 own, can someone help please?

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

I have an original desc of "Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit the question is, can I upgrade to the version that is installed in my new laptop with the version that I already have?"

    Thank you

    Scott.

  • How to install Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit?

Hello! Can someone tell me how can I make Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit to 64-bit?

    Here's my question: -.

    1. I bought a version of Windows Vista Edition retail family Premium, the package has only the 32-bit support (DVD). I found a few website say that the product key for the retail version of Windows is for 32-bit and 64-bit, as long as we use 32 - bit or 64 - bit on a single computer at a time. If I'm wrong, anyone could answer my question?

    2. now, I plan to move from 32 bit to 64 bit, my problem is that the version sold at retail of Windows that I purchased only contain 32-bit media:-

    (a) is there a way I could install the 64-bit Windows?

    (b) is it possible I could get 64-bit support?

    (c) could I use media in Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit retail a friend to install on my computer? And after installation, I can activate Windows with my product key?

Looking forward to the responses, thank you.

Do you a clean install from 32 bit to 64 bit.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsvista/1033/ordermedia/default.mspx

Link above is how you get 64 bit DVD, if you have a retail license.

You can use any Microsoft Vista 64-bit DVD and use your 32 bit key as you say it's Vista Retail

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Windows easy transfer will not work.  I get the message: "migwiz.exe - point of entry not found.  How can I fix it?

    Hi PTTimothy

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?

    2. you are the administrator of the computer?

I suggest you to check and to provide us with the information about the installed operating system.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

    Step 1:

You can open the administrator and verify if you can open Windows Easy Transfer correctly.

You can even check if you face the same question in the user account different or new user account.  You can create a new user account on your computer, and then check.

    Create a new user account-
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

    Step 2:

An analysis of the SFC and audit-
    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
