  • How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

After reading dozens of forum, I not yet found the answer.

I made a photo album with full-colur and b & w photos for Offset print. I want to be for the b & w grayscale avoid the hues of colors possible. It seems that InDesign does not support the shades of gray, how images become dark. Even with export without any conversion of color or the destination and/or including profiles of original colors, the images are exported to obscurity as a PDF to grayscale.

How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

Yes, Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same

This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

If I turn on overprint preview, I get a match because I'm soft proofing for printing:

  • Can (CS5) export to PDF format and compress Images?

Using CS5, I have a 'book' with 12 chapters and a total of about 800 color images. The goal is to export it to a PDF file that is shown on the screens, not sent to a printer.

When I export to PDF format, the file size is huge: about 240 MB.

I want this file to be much - a lot! -smaller size (in MB).

I have all images with different resolutions - from 72 dpi to 220 dpi - and I do not have the higher resolutions.

What is the best way to approach this problem? ...

--Are there a way to set Indesign to compress images when exporting?

    - Or if Photoshop can be used to 'batch' compress images at 72 dpi?

    - Or is there another method that I can't even imagine.

    Thank you very much!

    Zorba

Look in the export PDF dialog box. In the "Compression" Panel, you can set a maximum allowed DPI - any image of a value greater than the value "above" will be sous-échantillonnées to the value "to".

It works only on bitmap images. If you placed the vector images big, there is no way to automatically decrease their size.

  • I can't export to PDF from Indesign... I export and then nothing happens. Can someone please?

InDesign has worked well for a long time.  Then recently, after I and to reset my computer to an earlier time, stopped Indesign let me export to PDF format. I get no error message.  It's just that nothing happens after that I have to export it.  I have some big deadlines for printin and am desperate for help.  I sent the Indesign file to someone else, and they were able to export and create a PDF file.

I look forward to any suggestion. I'd be happy to pay someone if they can make it work again.

Of course, if you want to pay, they'll be happy to take your money. Call technical support and prosecute. Make sure you get a case number and the name of the person to help you and don't let them tell you they will call you back. If necessary, don't be shy about insisting on being raised to the next level.

Before you spend money, well, read this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2850080#2850080

It is 4 pages, but make sure you read all this. There are several possible solutions to stop the background export and some other useful information.

  • InDesign CC 2014 "can't export the PDF file.

I am trying to export a small document to PDF using InDesign CC 2014, something I've done many times before, but it now says "unable to export the PDF file.

There is no errors in the document (at least according to the preflight Panel) and the error does not say why InDesign doesn't have to export the PDF file.

Does anyone have suggestions on what to check to find out what it is exactly that InDesign cannot or will not do?

    Thank you!

  • How can I merege 2 PDFs into 1 file

How can I take two PDF files and merge them into a single file

In Acrobat go to file - create - combine files into a single PDF file, then select your files and combine them.

If it's just two files, you can also open one and then use tools - Pages - inserting a file to insert the second file first.

  • Can I export my bookmarks to a file text to ensure I ever lose them?

When I was with Internet Explorer, the browser allowed me to export my favorites in a text file that I could attach it to an email, or just keep. This is so that if the program never planted or something like that was lost, I would have always all my favorites that I could then import again if necessary. I was wondering if this feature appears on the Firefox browser. If not, I will never lose my favorites? How can I make sure that I don't have to remember all my favorites on top of my head?

Bookmarks > show all bookmarks-> import and backup - export HTML...

HTML is a text-based format and can be viewed in any browser or the source code can be viewed in a text reader program.
