I can't turn on wireless on my C50D-A Satellite

This model has possibilities of WiFi and if yes how I turn it on?

It is unclear to me that there is only one model of Toshiba laptop without WLAN and I must also say that Toshiba offers s user guides document for each model, so that all the important information you can find here.

I have this model of laptop but please try to disable flight mode, using F12 or FN + F12.

I have problem with wireless that is I can t turn off. I have windows 7 and I installed the drivers on the site for this series but can t always turns off Wireless using FN + F8.
My computer laptop doesn t have the manual button to turn off wireless! Really I put t know who can support me.

I ve asked the dealer and maintenance team, but they can t do anything! There is no online support for the brand as Toshiba who s shocked me!
So I'm still waiting to solve this problem, and I guess there is more customers like me having the same problem and we need the real solution!

    Stand by. Take it easy.

At first, I must say that you can call Toshiba hotline if you have any problems and ask for help. If you visit Toshiba support page for your country, you will find this number, so please don't write things on the media. If you need you can find it.

I can bet that you didn't even check the Toshiba support page to see if you can find the number of the line.
Your dealer is typical evidence that they don t have any idea of product they sold.
At least, I assume that you bought for laptop computer without an operating system preinstalled. Can you confirm this?

    Back to your problem:
All Toshiba stuff must be preinstalled in the order of specific facilities. I assume that you have installed all the drivers, tools and utilities, according to the order on the download page.
You say that you cannot enable/disable WLAN using FN + F8. Does that mean exactly?
This means you cannot use the combination of keys FN + F8 only or you cannot use FN (Flash cards) at all?

Sorry my friend but to reasonable discussion, it is important to have reasonable problem description. What you wrote, it's two sentences describing problem and two sentences complain Toshiba support.

    Hello

Are you sure that your laptop was equipped with the Broadcom WLan card?

The same model could also use the Atheros WLan card... that's why it would be interesting to know the name of the Wlan module that appears in the device under network adapters Manager.

By the way; the module sharing BT signals too... that is why it is essential to install the filter of Bluetooth driver Package in order to use the WLan and BT

  • Can't turn on WIRELESS on a Dell Latitude E5520

I am working on a Dell Latitude E5520.  The laptop is running Windows 7 Professional.  It has an installed Dell DW1530 Wi - FI card.  The WI - FI card is disabled.  Whenever I try to activate the card, it goes through all the activation of the card queries, but when it's over the map is always disabled and grayed out.  With this laptop, fitness and starting over is not an option. I have seen this problem mentioned earlier in this forum, but none of the fixes offered work.

What I've tried so far.  Troubleshooting everything has been done with full privileges, with domain administrator and local administrator accounts. The first thing I tried was to uninstall the antivirus software and firewall.  I left this software on the laptop computer for troubleshooting all.  I tried to uninstall the drivers for the card.  I downloaded the latest drivers and reinstalled the drivers.  Unsuccessful. I repeated it in safemode, logged on as a local administrator.  Unsuccessful.

I have a similar laptop on-site with a similar wireless card that works.  I installed this card and repeat the steps above.  Unsuccessful.  I have re-installed the original WI - FI card.

I have a USB WIFI card that I know works with Windows 7.  I tried this USB WI - FI card.  Unsuccessful.

Given that 3 types of WI - FI cards do not work, it tells me that it is a problem of Microsoft because all cards WI - FI 3 act exactly the same way.  As usual, Microsoft support site is a great help.

A possible clue.  The connection is named 'Wireless Network Connection 3'.  When I tried to rename the connection to "Wireless network connection", it was rejected saying that this name is already used.  There is no "Wireless Network Connection" not listed, only 'Wireless Network Connection 3 ".  I intend to look in the registry for this hidden connection.

    Any suggestions?

I found how to fix this problem, finally.  I used the original Windows 7 installation DVD and made an upgrade in Place.  The Microsoft Article ID: 2255099.  It worked. I was able to save the operating system and all programs and personal files.   I wish that I never thought that earlier.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help.

  • Can't turn on again replaced card WiFi on Satellite P850

I have a Toshiba laptop, P850, of the submodels with the TV tuner.
I just replaced the WiFi/Bluetooth card in my laptop as the original that came with the laptop is dead.

Windows can see the new WiFi card, all drivers works well, but I can't really turn on WiFi,
My toshiba has a function for the WiFi button, and I tried with and without the FN key, but does nothing.
Far as I can tell this Toshiba has also no physical switch for WiFi.

Driver wise, I tried those of toshiba and directly from Intel.
I have also carefully considered by the BIOS for what anyone, but found nothing.

The new WiFi card is an Intel Centrino Wireless N 1030.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit installed.

So I guess that all I can ask is what can I do to activate the WiFi?, * after trying what I mentioned above *.
