Hey Gregs92
Contact your manufacturer of computer of order recovery disks to reinstall vista on how you purchased your machine
they normally provide them at a nominal cost
Alternatively, you can ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to your computer at the factory standards
you would normally begin the recovery process started by pressimg F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, etc. 0
Ask them of the exact key sequence

Original title: I'm out of memory on my hard drive but I have minimum programs, photo and music on it. What else can I remove it?
It seems that a lot of programs listed under Add/Remove are installations of service packs or updates. I already deleted all files and unwanted programs, ran defragmentd and my drive disk cleanup. What should I do to find a free space?
Space and memory are two different things.

Hello
You can contact HP and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing F11 at startup. (Power on / start)
You can also make your own recovery discs.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

is it possible to download a copy or iso Windows xp pro? I have the key but broke my cd?
I recently bought a new laptop and went to windows xp professional on this topic with my drive only to the find has been broken so now, I don't always have the key one no way to install so I was wondering if it was possible to get a clean iso image of microsoft or anywhere where I could then install and put my key in to save it? The laptop is new to me but too old to run windows 7 or windows 8 and no way to spend a penny on vista if anyone can help me?
Hello
There is no download of XP (iso or other format) that I know who are a) legal and b) trustworthy.
The best thing you can do is to contact the manufacturer of your laptop for real recovery disks. Your laptop may even have a mechanism to burn these for yourself.

Have the key to upgrade to windows 7 but no disc or installation file
I bought the academic reduced windows 7 Home premium through digtalriver several months previously and foolishly neglected to save the installation file. I recently had to reformat my computer and, therefore, my OS is back to Vista Home premium.
I still have the key to product, but no installation file or disk. Any suggestions, or am I'll just have to cough up the $60 or two to buy Windows 7 Professional through the ultimate steal program?
Thanks in advance
Call Digital River. I don't know how long they have the download available for specific orders. Ron

I have the keys for all of my products to Windows, but this option was not for me.
I don't know what that means. Please someone help!
Thank you in advance, my name is Heather
Edit: Thanks for the responses, very helpful.
To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the button continue, which will produce the report.
To copy the report in your response, click the button copy in the tool (ignore the error at this stage), and then paste (using r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your response.
-in your own thread, please
Please also state the Version and edition of Windows cited on your COA sticker (if you a) in the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but does NOT quote the key on the sticker!

I recently had installed Thunderbird and more 10,000 e-mails were transferred. They showed me a way that if I press Ctrl and another sequence of keys, I could scroll through many emails and send them to 'trash' collectively, instead of having to delete each message individually. I don't remember the keys and the sequence to do.
CTRL + a (for 'all') will select all of the visible items.

I want to reload XP Home Ed. I have no disks but have the key. I followed the instructions of some sites but can't find i386 or win32.exe or winnt32.exe. Can someone please?

Original title: Windows XP Home Edition
The disc you use must match your key - Type (OEM/retail) and Version (Home/Pro).
If you have a retail license key, you need a retail license diskette.
More common is to have a system OEM (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.). In this case, you will need an installation disc from the manufacturer of your computer to reinstall Windows (contact them). In some cases, the Windows license is closed the BIOS installation media.
Many newer computers include a "recovery Partition" that activate you by pressing a button shown in the first start screen when you start (usually called "System Recovery"). If this is your case, you will not need to install drive - just hit this key (quickly!) when the splash screen comes up

As I said, I always have the key for it. But does not know if the key will work on just a normal copy of Windows XP? Also cannot find a download of XP? Guess that's what happens when you wait 17 years to ask about it.
If your computer was HP and it came with this version of Windows installed, then you probably have an OEM of Windows version. An OEM key does not work for a retail install the version of Windows. To reinstall Windows without owning a set of install CD/DVD from HP, you will need to contact HP for help as they regulate the licenses Windows installed on their products.
