  • I don't want windows 10, but I'm stuck in the update loop - Help!

I have tried to avoid the update of Windows 10 and was doing a good job, until one day I came back to my computer to find the middle of the update of Windows 10. I panicked, somehow managed to cancel and thought that I had won it.

Fast forward a week or two and my computer tells me to restart after the update. It's somewhat normal, I usually told to wait and he does. Not this time. He returns five minutes later telling me that it will restart in 14 minutes if I want to or not. I can't avoid it. It restarts. I have to go to work. I just find that it is just rebooted again later. I have to go back, I hear from my mother that she has restarted several times while I was away. I came home and closing it down properly and went to bed.

Today, it's the same thing, it force restarts every 20 minutes. I look for things on the internet and eventually check the updates. There are tons of failed attempts at upgrading to Windows 10 (which, remember, I never authorized to do so). I have 10 minutes before it goes to the next round. I'm next to me. I know not enough about computers to speak with her directly and make the troubleshooting thing I found on the internet that involves the registry and to be honest, I don't REALLY want to not Windows 10, so I don't want any solution that leaves as the result.

What can I do? It's time for me to just suck it up and buy a Mac? I am upset to forced into what I am quite certain I will never buy another Microsoft product again (and this is after growing up on Microsoft and he preferring Apple). I feel so betrayed and powerless. I don't want it to end on a bad note Aussie. Is there something I can do?

Even if you use another solution to prevent future attempts to upgrade, read the last two sections upgrade to disable Windows 10 - WiKi to see how to clean up what has already been downloaded to your computer.

  • I don't want Windows Update.

I don't have Windows Update. But every 15 seconds it shows and continues to make me restart the computer. How can't I ignore that?

It indicates that Windows Update is always install new updates when available. To prevent Windows Update from asking to restart the computer, you must change the setting (until you change the setting, you must restart the computer for installed all downloaded the update).

Go to Control Panel-> Windows Update-> change the settings (under Check For Update).

On the Important Update tab, scroll to the bottom of the tab and choose [check for update, but let me choose to download them and install]. Do not select [never search updates].

  • I don't want to download this update.

I have a list of the updates that are 'Important' to download, but I don't want to download KB968389 because it is a bad update, killed my laptop and I had to get it restored 2 times because of this. So when I stopped my laptop it will update my computer, but how can it help to install on my laptop?

Sorry for the second question. ^^

    Hello

See the method here 3 (and others as required)

First go to control panel - Windows Updates - change the settings - if the value of Let Me decide to
Download or install - APPLY / OK.

After you're done and save after reboot back to updates - run UPdater - then RIGHT CLIC on
that update and HIDE. Turn then to change the settings for automatic return.

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

  • Don't want Windows 10

Have a laptop Sony VAIO Win7.  Went to check out the updates today and it was Windows 10, with a button 'get started '.  Was an optional update in the opposite case.  Checked the update optional to go forward, but I don't want to install Win10 at that time.

How can I get regular updates installed Win7 and remove the Win10 upgrade offer?

    Thank you!

I downloaded Windows 10 and I don't like it for several reasons. For example, they announce that the Start button is the same. It is not. It takes three clicks just to put my computer to sleep. Then he returned after about 10 seconds. I was told I could have Windows 7 Premium return at any time up to 30 days. I asked this morning and it has not yet arrived. Microsoft has put Windows on my computer in a few minutes. Why I can't get Windows 7 Premium at the same time?

    Hello

Try to uninstall Windows Update KB2973544... I don't really know if it's possible, but it's the update that triggers the update from Windows Update...

You could also look in scheduled tasks to see if there is something that can be terminated...

  • I don't want this button to update

    Hello

I have an old iPhone 4S and an old Macbook for mid-2010.

I think that when your hardware is old, it is best to stop the update.

But the Appstore keeps prompting, and it is very very annoying.

Why Apple does not add a button: "I don't want this update?

"This kind of annoying things adds up on others as"iTunes can not connect"when I never asked to connect to iTunes."

I'm a former mac user. I wrote my thesis on a Mac in 1989. Unfortunately, the user experience has been deteriorating since the departure of Steve. There are now Iwatch which tells that your hart beat. But we had lost, what distinguishes Apple from others, the base fine tunings.

    What a pity.

See if you can click to hide the update > hide updates in the app store

  • I don't want Windows 10

I use a computer almost 4 year, which runs on Windows 7. I updated my computer to Windows 10 but then MANY problems began to arrive, the problems that I couldn't fix it, so I switch back to Windows 7. Not only did I keep said to do to update my computer at 10 but I can't make any other system updates. I have more than 50 system updates on my computer, but when I go to launch updates, it begins to make the update of Windows 10. I looked in the KB 3035583 update uninstall but this isn't on my computer, so I am not able to uninstall.

I don't know what to do. I have a lot of large updates I need to do for my computer, but there is no way, from what I see, for me not also update to Windows 10. Any suggestions?

    Hello

I suggest to associate as the default Windows Photo Viewer to display photo files and try to view the image files directly.

    (b) click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program.

    (c) click on Protocol or file type that you want the program to act as the default value.

    (d) click the program of change.

    (e) click the program that you want to use by default for the selected file type, or click the arrow next to other programs to show other programs. (If you don't see other programs or your program is not listed, click Browse to find the program you want to use, and then click Open. If no other programs are installed that are able to open the type of file or Protocol, your choice will be limited.)
