I downloaded Flash Player and it still says that I must download!

I have and using a version of Mac OS X 10.5.8 and I have recently updated Safari to version 5 and since my Player Flash has not worked.  When I try to watch videos, it is said that I need to download Flash Player, so I go through the entire download process and when I try to watch a video, it always says that I have to download Flash Player. When I troubleshoot my flash drive it says "the content of this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player" but I have the latest version. My Flash PLayer worked fine until I updated Safari, why what is happening?

Hi, it would be nice if websites use the 'Install' word instead of download. big difference :-) Flash Player work in the browser, so websites are looking for the Flash Player control, which is the Shockwave Flash that should be in your Safari browser. If you have Quicktime and know where the plugins, look there for it. It must be there and activated.

If this isn't the case, then my guess is that the update to the new version of Safari caused a glitch or disabled.

Using Safari, go here to test, and then let me know if you can see the animation of the logo (spins) Flash and what version of Flash Player is displayed.   http://www.Adobe.com/software/Flash/about/

Thank you
