  Thank you Joe Maniac.  I deleted the original linked files on my internal hard drive which were dng files, but had copies of the raw files edited and edited the exported raw files (in JPEG format).  I don't have copies of dng files.  So what I ended up having to do was import the original raw files which then made a DNG copy on my internal hard drive.  The link has not changed, but now the files were back in the original track for missing photo alerts disappeared and I was able to see my change history.  The process has been painful, but without the dng, I had nothing to do a link to more if at least re-import them files has recreated the dng.  I don't know if there was an easier way, but it seemed that the problem did not the link deletion.  I use LR for a few years, but it was a rookie mistake, precipitated by my hard drive being so jammed up I ended up delete what I shouldn't.  I should have just moved the dng and the link to an external hard drive.   Similar thing TI also occurs when you are working on other programs on the mac, but not nearly as much.

  Guessing here, but try to disable drag between pages on the tab more than movements in the system preferences > mouse. or a Trackpad. Depending on whether you are using.

• Trying to export edited images in Lightroom, but the new versions are appearing in the folder that I exported.

  I have 39 images that I edited in lightoom, all with a preset VSCO. There are a couple that I made in Photoshop as well, and they are part of the export. When I export them, the unreleased versions are showing in the record, other than those which were also published in PS. They appear very well, but not the ones I edited in the Lightroom development tab. I know that I export the correct files, I went through and 2 played the images I wanted to change and then edited each of them using the preset VSCO. Then I have this problem when I want to export. Any ideas?

  It's not ALL your export settings but you probably export as "original".  Change it to Jpg Tiff.

  If you purchased Word on CD, it's no big deal; just reinstall it after the factory restore. If it was bought online, copy the file downloaded to a CD and then reinstall it later.

  Is there a particular reason, why you want to do a restore complete? Have you problems? If so, you can try asking here on how to fix them and do not have to do a restore, reinstall all your programs and all of the updates and service pack 1.

  You're confused image with dimensions in pixels size.

  There is no problem as long as you has not changed the dimensions/resizing the image when you saved as jpg.

  Check the dimensions in pixels of the original and the jpg - they should be the same.

  To put it otherwise - size of the image in megabytes are not an indicator of the size of an image (the size it will print). Dimensions in pixels are.

  Your entire development is off? You may be able to disconnect and reconnect. You can check this thread for more suggestions:

• OK to edit images in folders compared to Collections?

  I'm a bit new to LR.  For most of my work, I import RAW images in LR and then use or create one or more Collections to organize the imported images.  Then I do my editing from a Collection.

  There are some works, however, which is very simple and do not have the advantage of Collections.  For this work, I just want to import all the RAW files in a folder, make simple changes develop fast in library mode, then export all the images in jpg.  Once the work is finished, I move the files of my internal HD to an external hard drive and at this time there delete the files from my LR catalog.

  QUESTION: Is there a reason I can't do all of my work editing image in the file, rather than create a Collection of all the images in my folder?  It seems to work very well work in a folder rather than in a collection, but I thought I'd ask because maybe I'm missing something.

  In the case of LR, you always work on an image, any view that you are using to see (folder, Collection, Collection of Smart,...). If you're still pointing to the same thing, simply different ways to arrange the subsets of things.

  An Exception to the above: If you're applying pics / rejects, they only remain with the local image, which means that an image can be taken in a collection and rejected in a folder.

  I am very new to Captivate and myself teaching on the fly. I watched the little available in Captivate tutorials and one mentioned that you can use the library for editing images in photoshop, and then automatically update in this slide in the Captivate project.
  
  When I open my library said edit edit with ImageReady. I tried and saved the image, but it won't let me save it as a PNG so I can't import into the library. I ended up opening the image in ImageReady, use it to send the image to PhotoShop, save is a GIF just remove the background of the slide, and then add the picture to the slide.
  
  This slide also had one click on the button with a text message to hover and a text message of failure that I had then to move to the front to show when you click on the page or hover the click button. It was a pain that I had to drive the background image, then use make before then bring the background again image and selecting all three components (click the 2 text boxes and the box) has not been easy.
  
  There must be a better way. Any ideas?

  When you right-click on an image in the library, that he opens with is often unknown. CP file. But what you do really updates the image to the location where you inserted go!
