I forgot to login Windows 7

I bought my wife a renovated factory ideapad U350. I helped activate Veriface but she doesn't like it then I

uninstalled. I thought by uninstalling Veriface she would not have to log on to the laptop but on reboot

the computer will ask the windows for a user login form. Of course we do not even remember using a

Log in name, so now we can get on the computer.

Is there a way to reset the log info or overide the user with a log of the administrator log in?

There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    1. Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    2. Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    3. Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    4. Insert your flash drive USB with the password key file (only works if you have taken the time to create such a key file).
    5. Use the password indicator (works only if you have created a hint and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    6. Check your paper files (only works if you threw down the password somewhere.)
If none of these methods work then you will need to perform a destructive factory restore. Since you have not used the machine in six months, it is unlikely to be a big disadvantage. When you have finished, remember to take at least one of the many precautions above.
  • Trackpad unresponsive in the login window

How can I navigate through the el capitan login screen using the keyboard as the track pad click is not responding. I can browse beteende users with the arrow and enter but cannot return to restart, stop etc.

    Hi nigeln,

Thanks for checking out the Apple Support communities for help with your MacBook Pro. I understand that you are wanting to be able to navigate in the login window of your MacBook Pro for your trackpad doesn't work. There are some keyboard shortcuts that can be useful even if the trackpad is not responding to you. I've highlighted some of these shortcuts below.

Control - command - power Force your Mac button to restart.

Control - Option - command - (button / stop or eject media) exit all applications, then shut down your Mac. If any open documents have unsaved changes, you will be asked if you want to save.

Start button / Stop button for 5 seconds to force your Mac to turn off.

Shift-command-Q log out of your OS X user account. You will be asked to confirm.

You can see a complete list of shortcuts here: Mac - Apple Support keyboard shortcuts

If you encounter any problems with your trackpad, I suggest you also try resetting the SMC on your MacBook, if you have not already. This will not erase any personal data but can help in situations like this. You can find the steps to reset your SMC here: reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

  • Why Outlook Express "Identities Login" window launch daily by itself?

I am running XP SP3 and Office 2007. My computer is always turned on. I no longer use Outlook Express as an email client, but I've had multiple "identities" put in place due to several e-mail accounts for businesses. I now only use e-mail via a web browser. I also installed Norton 360 Internet protection suite. Daily Outlook Express "Identities Login" window is launched by itself. It also no longer displays the normal Outlook Express ICON on the taskbar button. Instead, it displays a different ICON which resembles something of Norton 360 can display, but they can't explain it.

Can someone tell me why this window would launch itself every day? It doesn't look like the PC is to be restarted because the other windows that should be present are not there. I have turned off the file msmsgs.exe from running at startup, but this does not seem to stop him. Someone at - it help him? Thank you.

Norton and OE never got along (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) and it's probably Norton that causes the problem, even if their population do not know on this subject.  (This is a horrible program to install on your computer, because it generates problems of electronic mail and also slows down the machine a lot.  I would like to get something much less invasive, for example www.microsoft.com/security_essentials) If you use OE, then go and delete the accounts and identities and then it shouldn't bother you more.   You can also go to start | Run and type msconfig and disable startup items which can be access trigger OE to open.

  • I forgot the password of login Windows 7

I have reset my password of windows two days ago and have forgotten since I changed it to. I have written down but have lost that as well. I tried a reboot in safe mode and I think I'm the administrator who is related to my profile. The only other user profile that I was invited. System recovery does not work to bring up the prompt for me either. I don't think that I never did rescue disk to recover the password. I have a little information on this PC and could use any help offered. Thank you

It is a policy of Microsoft that this forum may not help bypassing the Windows security. There's no option 'backdoor' he would go to the security object in the 1st place.

If you have no password reset disk then you really the only option of reinstalling Windows. It should be able to keep the old data, but I advise to use a second method to save the data as a precaution.

  • Login Windows on Satellite M70

When I start the machine Windows XP Edition family begins to the login page where it asks to click on the user name but there are no username click on! I know for a fact, there should be.

Is there anyway around this, I think using the disk recovery reformats the hard drive - I don't really want to do this?

    HI Richard,

Try to start mode 'SAFE' (PF8 starting upwards) and you should see the Windows screen with just showing "Administrator" accounts = journal. Note that this will also include the account named 'Administrator', who don't normally see.

If it works, you will be able to go into 'Control Panel' and check the attributes of the user accounts that you have set up.

    Kind regards

  • machine freezes, the login window is not responding

    Hello

recently, a few times my macbook pro freezes and becomes almost insensitive. before I explain more I have 230 GB of my 500 GB of free hard drive, so I is not a problem with space on the disc.

in general, I'll have safari, vlc, Skype numbers and open the activity monitor. the reason why I keep open all the time activity monitor is because I had some performance issues with my machine.

every so often will freeze the machine and memory used will draw upward of about 1.75 GB to 3.8 GB. Sorry I forgot to see if there is no change in the cache, use swap, memory app, wired memory or compressed. I'll update the ram, but I still think there must be a problem which is the cause.

When this happens, I pressed the power button to turn off and restart.

In addition, and I don't know if it's related or another problem, whenever I restart the machine, a window pops up saying "insecurity disabled startup."? Library? startupitems? virtualpcosservices"was not started because it doesn't have the appropriate settings. I have never experienced this with any of my other macs and starting this machine has always seemed slower then on other Macs I've used.

    Thank you

These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

    Step 1

For this step, the title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

In the upper right corner of the Console window, there is a search box to filter. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes).

Each message in the journal begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the BOOT_TIME message that corresponds to the last boot time when you had the problem. Now, clear the search box to display all messages. Select those recorded before starting, during the time that something unusual was happening. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

For example, if the system is unresponsive or unable to stop for three minutes before you forced a reboot, post the timestamped messages within three minutes before the start time, not after. Please include the message BOOT_TIME at the end of the extract from newspaper - not at the beginning.

If there is a long series of messages, please post only one example of each. Do not post of many repetitions of the same message.

When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

    Step 2

    In the Console window, select

DIAGNOSIS AND diagnostic USE information reports ▹ System

(not diagnose them and use Messages) in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

    in the menu bar.

There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points downwards. You will see a list of reports. A crash report has a name that begins with the name of the process crashed and ends with ".crash". A report of panic has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends with ".panic." A report of stall stop has a name ending with ".shutdownstall". Select the most recent of each, if any. The content of the report is displayed at right. Allows you to copy and paste to validate all of the content, text, not a screenshot. It is possible that none of these reports exist.

I know that the report is long, perhaps several hundred lines. Please report all this anyway.

If you don't see any report, but you know, there was a crash or panic, you can have selected diagnostic and using the list of Log Messages. INFORMATION on the USE of DIAGNOSTIC AND choose instead.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you change the UUID ' anonymous, ' a long string of letters, numbers and dashes in the header of the report, if it is present (it cannot be). "

Please do not post other types of diagnostic report - they are very long and rarely useful.

When you post the journal excerpt or the accident report, you might see an error message on the web page: "you have included content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.
