When you run the Microsoft Security essentails I get the message "the program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator. »
Original title: microsoft security essentails
Hi Kim,
The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I appreciate if you could help me with more information.
1. when exactly you receive this error message?
2. are you on a computer in the domain?
3 is the Microsoft Security Essentials-specific issue?
The error messages say about group policy which is the collection of settings that define the appearance of a system and how it behaves for a defined group of users. Microsoft provides a program with a console (Group Policy Microsoft Management Console). The console allows programmers select a GPO that is linked to the directory of centers for domains, organizational units or sites. GPO provides the programmer with security options, the software installation and maintenance options, scripting options and the folder redirection options.
Response with more information to help you.

I can't download new programs, changing the date or make a few changes to my computer, that is the message I get "' this program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator ' ' how can I solve this problem.
Hello
Thanks for posting your query to the Microsoft forum. I will definitely help you with this.
I would like to know;
- Your computer is connected through a network of field?
- You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
- You have any other security software installed in the system or that you have uninstalled earlier?
The question could arise due to lack of permissions due to the remains of some program in the uninstalled registry before. To further diagnose the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.
Method 1:
Run the next fixit and check if the remains of any previously uninstalled security software is deleted.
The problems that the programs cannot be installed or uninstalled
Method 2:
Give all the permissions on your user account and check if it helps.
Follow the steps to give all permissions:
a. press the Windows key + R, type regedit.exe in the Run dialog box and press enter.
b. right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE , and then click permissions.
c. click Add under the Security tab and add a new group: everyone.
d. Select everyone and check the option: total control.
e. restart the computer and check if the problem is solved or not.
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Some other AV will not work if you have installed MSE.
You should never use two AV applications running in real time, they will conflict with each other and cannot function properly

The program is blocked by group policy, you contact the administrator
original title: group policy
I get an error when I try to play legally purchased game just cause 2
the program is blocked by the foundations of the group, contact your administrator
I have legal win 7 ultimate
I don't know where or how or why this restriction is in Group Policy (you are on a domain network or is it a computer sttand-only or only connected to an ad hoc network). If connected to a domain, the restriction may be from the server in which case you need to talk to the server administrator to understand why it is there and if it can be removed.
If it is a home network or a stand-alone computer, access you group policy editor by going to start / search box and type in the Group Policy Editor, and then double-click on the icon for the program that apppears. You will now be in the editor. That is the problem - there is no way to search for the Publisher, so essentially you must check all entries to find the one that is blocking you. On my system, no policy was in place by default, so I don't know how your got policies implemented - but if she says that group policy is causing this program is the solution. I wish there were an easier way, but I know not at all.
Sometimes blocks of security software programs by using Group Policy, so it is possible, this is how it happened--unfortunately, it does not help us find the location of the block, so it can be deleted.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Safely remove hardware shortcut blocked by group policy.
Accidentally posted this earlier in the windows 7 box... its a matter of xp.
Hi all
Im having some trouble with our strategy of group set up. We like to remove from the tray of some users, but this introduces the problem of how they eject their USB drives.
We stumbled upon this path of the shortcut RunDll32.exe shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll which works very well. The problem is that we have a group policy setting that allows only the specified in a list programs to be run. Located atUser Config/Admin time/system/run only allowed Windows applications.
Ive tried to add rundll32.exe in the list, but still running the shortcut gets blocked. Anyone could shed some light on this?
Thank you

Windows 8 Group Policy client service, has no sign in
Hello
I am running Windows 8 Professional, and over the past two days have experienced random errors, try to connect.First of all, when I log on as a standard user, I get the message ' customer service group policy has no sign in "and cannot connect. If I try to log in as administrator I can connect but Windows recreates the profile from scratch and when I get to the menu start I have no apps posted and it cannot find all the programs through research. This problem has happened twice now, and it seems to settle temporarily after the reboot, but this morning, it took 4 reboots to fix.I also have the error "Windows could not connect to the system event notification service", and once again, it seems setting after restarting a few.I scanned my SDD on which the operating system is installed and there is no error reported.I am worried that during the next reboot the problem will come back and will not be repaired. Can you please tell me how to resolve this.Kind regardsMatthewOK, guys, I already posted solution in other threads, and it's for Windows 7. But it seems that it's exactly the same problem and a very widespread--caused by accident during the restart initiated by Windows Update. I'm to re-post here. If anyone can test it on Windows 8 would be great. If you need my help let me know - I'm really very interested to test it on Windows 8.
I had this problem on my laptop since November, and it really annoyed me. I sifted through the event log and found the model of events leading up to the issue and, probably, he did.
In short, the model is as follows: Windows updates automatically run as planned, and when restarting is launched after the updates are complete, the computer crashes (probably during the reboot sequence). When starting, it signals that the last stop was not planned, and the question starts to happen.
I spent 2 days trying to dig a solution by Internet, without success, until I came across this page. It says nothing about this particular problem, but it gives more information on the SVCHOST process that launches many services, including Group Policy Client. It seems that when restarting vital registry settings have been lost during the accident and Group Policy Client 'does not know' how to start. Let me explain:
There are two places to look in the registry:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services this path must contain gpsvc key (a record), which is responsible for the configuration and service settings. I found the key was intact, so you do not touch anything here - just check that the key exists.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows svchost It's the most important way you should look at in, because it should contain keys and values under the #1 key. Here are descriptions of what must be present there.
- There must be called GPSvcGroupmulti-string value. My laptop was missing it. Thus, you must create the multi-string value called GPSvcGroup and assign it the value GPSvc.
- Then, you must create a key (a folder) and name it GPSvcGroup - this key should normally be there, but, again, that it was missin on my laptop.
- Open the newly created GPSvcGroup folder, then create 2 DWORD values:
- First called AuthenticationCapabilities and you must give it a value of 0 x 00003020 (or in decimal form 12320)
- Second, called CoInitializeSecurityParam , and it must have the value 1.
When you have finished all the above steps, restart the computer, and the problem will be solved.

Recently, I was hit by a virus that, among other problems, he blocked my access to the system restore to clear it. After having had my pc repaired I can not even access the system restore or my registry. I get a message from that system restore has been disabled by group policy. It's my own pc and I am the administrator. I've tried a few things without success. I hope someone can help me with this. I have the vista operating system.
1. click on start, run and type regedit.exe , and then press enter
2. navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Software-policies-Microsoft-Windows NT------SystemRestore
In the right pane:
- Delete the value DisableConfig
- Delete the value DisableSR
3. exit the registry editor.
