I have 2 of the same operating system?
I have Windows Vista 32 bit Premium on my laptop, my friend was playing with my computer and now it won't start! When I try to start, it goes to the Windows Boot Manager and wonder what operating system to begin with, and the two say windows vista options. When I click on one of them, it starts to load, then says: "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. "He said to the two operating systems. I tried to run the cd to fix it and it will go through the process and say its fixed it, but it didn't. Help, please!

Basically, everything I've read about the BSOD "Unmountable boot error" I have tells me that I have to reinstall XP. The question is can I install a different operating system and not lose all my files on the computer? Thank you
Hello
· What is the exact error message that you encounter in Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)?
· You are able to boot into safe mode without any problem?
· Remember to make changes to the system?
· Do you have the XP CD with you?
Method 1:
If you have the XP disc and then start in the recovery and then console perform a disk check. I suggest you to check the below link.
When you restart your computer or upgrade to Windows XP, you receive the error message "STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME".
http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=297185
Method 2:
If this does not help, then you can install a parallel installation of Windows XP on the same drive and then copy the important files and folders that are present on the system to an external device (flash drive), then install a new copy of the Windows XP operating system. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below to perform a parallel installation of Windows XP.
Follow method 4 that is listed in the article given below to perform a parallel installation of Windows XP.

If I buy windows 8 (any OS windows) now and install in my computer and after a year when I change my computer, can I install the SAME operating system in the new computer?
You can if you buy a commercial box full of Windows 8 version.
If you buy a computer with Windows preinstalled, or a version OEM of Windows 8, 8 No, you can't.
If you buy a version upgrade, you can, as long as the new computer has a licensed version earlier of Windows on them.

One of my friends has forgotten his password and I was wondering if I could make the password reset disk for him?
A password reset disk only works on the computer, on which it was made.
What to do if you forget your Windows password
If you have forgotten your Windows password and you are on a domain, you must contact your system administrator to reset your password. If you are on a working group (the majority of individuals are on a working group), you can reset your password by using a reset disk of password or by using an administrator account.
Create a password reset disk:

Reset your Windows password:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/reset-your-Windows-passwordIf you forget the administrator password, and you do not have a password reset disk or another administrator account, you will not be able to reset the password. If there is no other user account on the computer, you will not be able to connect to Windows and you will need to re - install Windows.

Update 10 gr 2 DB to 11 GR 2 while migrating to new server with the same operating system
Hello
I need to upgrade and migrate as well a 10.2.0.5 single-instance ASM no database 11.2.0.1 on a new server. Source and target texts OS is Solaris 10 (OS version identical on SPARC 64-bit server is started), but the target server is upscale. DB size is about 1 TB. Only concern is that the storage in the existing configuration will be used with the new server as well.
Who will be the best way to do the upgrade and migrate with minimal downtime?
Thank you

If you do not backup your encryption certificate and key encryption is involved, then the data are almost lost to you.

Windows XP instead of Vista.
I would like to install Windows XP on my computer and get rid of the Vista operating system. Can I do this? I only have 512 MB of Ram and 32-bit processor.Hello
There are a few things that you would have to do to install XP instead of Vista:
1. contact the manufacturer of your computer and see if the XP drivers are available for your computer model to make sure that XP has worked properly in this regard.
2. If the XP Drivers are available, buy a XP disk operating system / license. Try local computer repair shops because Microsoft sells more than XP and online sale buy you pirated copies can cause. Be very careful.
3 XP runs with 512 MB of RAM, although a little slow by today's standards.
4. do a clean install of XP. Make sure that all your data is backed up as the hard will be cleaned of everything during the Installation of XP.

Info on the device
T-Mobile 9700
V5.0.0.586
So as others waited until what tmobile had an official release for the new OS, I used before the stock 5.0 OS. I did not read about the new operating system and mines unwisely update. My problem is that the left upper button convience asks for a password when I lock it, from what I read the only way to block it and password prompt on unlock is ALT + ENTER.
I was wondering if someone had resolutions, I love my 9700 and this problem upsets me just, I just don't see me lock the phone with alt + enter. I have even try and downgrade the OS, if someone could tell me how.
Thank you guys.
Everything I read is that blackberry has released the password locking and his return do not, if you open the Desktop Manager and have the phone hung, if you press the button update, in that you having the option it downgrade to the old operating system that you are running, at least I did on mine
