I want to start making videos and do not know which version is the best for my system and my novice status?
If you're running Vista... you already have 6 of Movie Maker.
If you do not find Movie Maker... Launch the dialog box run by
holding your Windows Logo key and press R
Then type or copy / paste the following:
moviemk.exe
And then press ENTER.
Also... you might try WIndows Live Movie Maker, but it don't
do not have as many options as version 6.

bastyav,
We use the exact and some error message in more detail on the issue. This problem occurs with any file on the disk or only some of them? You are logged as administrator? Has anything changed recently (hardware or software)? The first thing I would say to run a Virus scan and malware. If you do not have an antivirus program, then you can get one here: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/
If there are no problems found then not try the following steps:
Run the following commands.Chkdsk /r

sfc/scannow

I have windows vista with service pack 2. Vista is no longer supported so where should I go from here as an upgrade?
Hello
Vista is in the Microsoft extended support until April 2017.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Depends on hardware configuration required on later operating systems, and also find out if the manufacturer of the laptop computer is supported and provides drivers for operating systems later as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.
There is no free upgrade Vista to 7, 8.1, or 10.
Follow these steps before you buy Windows 7.
Microsoft sells more than 7; Try Amazon.com.
Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

Microsoft sells more than 8/8.1.
Try Amazon.com, etc.
Check if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has Windows 8.1 drivers available for your model.
If this is not available, Windows 8.1 not install and work properly for you.
There is a lot of information in this first link from Microsoft:

original title: error with ehshell.exe
I have Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 with Service Pack 3 and I tried to run Media Center but I get an error message with ehshell.exe. Could you help me?
This problem exists since the 1st Media Center. SP2 and SP3 had a difficulty, but it is obvious that it doesn't always. The same problem still exists in Vista today with a lot of other carried over from XP. System restore would work, but you do not have any good restore points so reinstall an operating system seems to be your only option.
You probably don't want to do an OS reinstall you need for Media Center, but since it does not at all, you might want to play then remove the Media Center updates and or SP3 and reinstall them.

Upgrade means that you can install Windows 7 simply by inserting the Windows 7 upgrade software in the DVD drive of your PC and follow the instructions on the screen. While you are not required to backup and reinstall your files, or reinstall your programs, it is a very good idea to back up your files and settings before you start any upgrade to the software. Get more information on the software updates and best practices .Installation - what does "Custom (Clean)" Mean?
A custom (clean) installation clears the contents of the hard drive of your PC. Your files, settings, and programs will not be transferred to Windows 7. This means that to install Windows 7, you must:Back up any files and settings you want to keep
Install Windows 7
Reinstall all your files
Reinstall all the programs you want to use.
These four steps take time, skills, techniques and Windows Easy Transfer can help. However, if you are not comfortable with this process, please consider having the installation carried out by a local service provider.
