This is the name of a folder? Who will be in a file name in your file system. Given his situation, is it possible or likely that the total path length exceeds the limit of the operating system?

    For example: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/file-names-extensions-faq#1TC=windows-7

This is not to talk about any other limit which may be inherent in the way that Thunderbird uses names of files internally.

In your position, I explore the Thunderbird profile and check paths, as they appear in the file manager. You should be able to remove all folders that are unwanted here also.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

    Recovery methods:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

I want to delete old backup files. Some of these files have a virus in them. If I completely delete these files and run a new backup it will accomplish what I want.

I asked a similar question on the removal of all my backup files in my hard drive external and asked if I would get a full file backup or just backup incemental.
I asked this question to Windows Vista, IT Pro.
    The answer is:
Windows uses something known as bits archive to determine if changes have been
to files.if you completely delete the contents of the backup media, then it should do a full backup has the following appendix, because at that time, windows has nothing to compare data from the computer with.

Based on the response I received, you should have a backup of files complete "sound".

  • I have D3D10Warp.dll a file damaged, how can I fix it if sfc cannot?

This translates a few programs automatically crashing similar error messages (Skype, msn messenger, windows help, set the Center and fix it, notice avira and product messaging tool, giljabi.exe and LG intelligent update it is linked to and the sidebar desktop... so far...)

Journal said CBS impossible reproject corrupted file; source file in the store is also corrupt.

I think that this started after I ran ccleaner... tried to restore from, several saved ccleaner registry backups, (6 months ago), but it does not solve the problem.

also tried the system restore but no restore points were created on my computer's system disk... don't they be created automatically? I remember vaguely using this tool to solve a problem on this same computer a few years back... and it has been available for me to choose the restore points...

also ran full scan with avira and malwarebytes but no reported problems.

This laptop did not come with the windows disk. the operating system was already installed when I bought at the store.

So I should replace the file?
If Yes, where can I find one?, and how should I proceed without making more of a mess?

Thanks for the help of th.

It sounds like you had a version before this update. Do you have access to other computers on vista?

The file is sytem32 and one with the same version of WinSxS are the same file. A hard link is a file name. Each file has at least one hard link. Files in WinSxS and system32 usually are hard links to the same file. So copy of WinSxS won't help.

To replace the file if you can find a copy.

Click on start - all programs - accessories - right click on command prompt and choose Run as administrator. Type

    takeown /f %windir%\system32\d3d10warp.dll/a
    ICACLS %windir%\system32\en-US\d3d10warp.dll/grant administrators: f

If you can't delete it, because it is in use, you should be able to rename it.

    Ren %windir%\system32\d3d10warp.dll %windir%\system32\d3d10warp.dll.bak

    copy \d3d10warp.dll %windir%\system32\d3d10warp.dll

    Reset.

You can try an earlier or later version to copy.

My computer locked up and I had to remove the battery to restart. Update of Firefox, and when he came online, none of my favorites are there. When I went in hidden files, was there either. Is in any way to restore my bookmarks? And how do I save my favorites in a file that I can restore in case this happens again.

OK, thanks for your answers. You will think I'm a total jerk, but I'm not as tech savvy as you all. It turns out that update of Mozilla, it lack the toolbar to hidden. If the data was all there, just hidden. (very embarrassed that I didn't have to look for something like that). All I had to do was "Show toolbar". Maybe this can help someone else. But now I'm sure I have back ups.

Some reasons for the slow pace of the computer:

    6. the user runs an inflated/invasive such as Norton and McAfee antivirus program. Replace it with a better program. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). Avira is also good, but the free version has an unpleasant reminder screen (Google for instructions on how to disable it). The user can also run several real-time antivirus/firewall/security programs.

    7. the user has installed new programs that are processor and/or memory-intensive (Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mathmatica or similar) and does not have the power of the equipment.

  • Add a folder of files with the hierarchy to the installer

    Hi all

Have a folder of files that can be read by the app.  This folder has a hierarchy of other records and contains xml files.

I just want to include this file and all files with the hierarchy with installer and add to the Application directory.

I don't want to have to manually create this folder hierarchy in generator installation and add each xml file.

Is it possible to simply add files with the hierarchy folder the installer?

    Thank you.

You should be able to do this if you add the folder of your project as a folder automatic settlement. If you right click on my computer in the directory of your project and select Add > folder (automatic settlement) will include the folder and subfolders. Now when you go to build an installer and click on the Source Files tab you can add all of the folder and its subfolders. Note, you are not able to do it with normal files or instant capture. I hope this helps.
