  Hmmm, it should appear from the ID is of course attached to the program.

  At this point, I would personally just install on the second machine as a test. You can get Adobe here (bottom of page) programs: download and Installation Help | Download and Installation Help

  Install as a trial on the second computer, and then open DW and select help > activate and use the ID that is attached to the program on your current computer when you are prompted.

  It "should" operate.

  If that doesn't fly for any reason, you will need to contact Adobe directly. Make sure you let them know you've already been on the forums or they will try put you back: Contact customer service

  It should be there in the quick selection tool.

  If it is not there, go to the Edit menu > Toolbar > restore default values and then check out.

  You can't do that. If you have a license for Windows, you can not use it on a Mac.

  In addition, Acrobat 9 is obsolete and is not compatible with any current operating system (including Windows 8, which is said by the way).

  In Acrobat 9 the tool is called the "Text editor" tool It is included in the "Advanced editing" toolbar, so just with the right button of the toolbar area and select it from the list of available tools. Or you can select: Tools > advanced editing > text editing tool
