  I did a new install of Windows 7 64-bit today and installed LR 2.5 64 bits. At the launch of the LR Installer opens very well the first time.

  Any time I try and open it after that it doesn't open at all. If I open Task Manager I see lightroom.exe appear for a second or less and which fade.

  -There are no errors in the log of events to all associated with lightroom.

  Interestingly, if I right click and run light room as an admin it opens fine.

  I have deleted all my preference and a complete unintall, resettlement of LR. No luck.

  Any ideas?

  Check the Security tab for the/users/xxx/pictures/lightroom and check that the user xxx (whatever you are logged in as the user) has full control permission.
