  Cannot play Internet Backgammon, checkers, or stings in Windows 7... receive the error Code: 0 x 80041006.  Have you tried the clean boot, memory test, disable start upward, turn off norton... I tried everything the moderaters have suggested always can not play.  Also ran sfc/scannow, as suggested.  Any control very well.  Can play other internet games... such as Big Fish games.

  Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and bring up the Task Manager > move in process > select Explorer > end task and it will restart and if all goes well it will bring to the top of your screen properly.

  Your computer is completely up-to-date with all the updates?

  Note I'm not a fan of setting hibernation or sleep a computer there, it can sometimes lead to problems (as you see)
