I have Net framework 4 and Capicom 2.0, should I have them both?

I currently have two Net Framework 4.x and Capicom 2.x (root\windows\system32\capicom.dll) when running on a Windows XP Home machine.

What I keep installed Capicom or framework 4 back issues covering Capicom as Capicom for a later version of windows (Vista, for example) use .NET framework instead of Capicom.

Thank you very much,
Mumford68

Hi Mumford68,

You may need to use the two .net Framework and CAPICOM 2.0 on Vista system. CAPICOM Version 2 is that the last and the latest version of CAPICOM is officially supported on Windows Vista. Even if .net Framework has replced CAPICOM. You can always keep it on the system in order to run some programmes on CAPICOM.

For more information, you can consult the following article:

CAPICOM Reference

Hope this information is useful.

This seems to be malicious. Remove it from the Add-ons Manager, then update Malwarebytes Antimalware and comprehensive analysis of your system.

  • What is the difference between Bridge and Lightroom?  Should I have them both?

What is the difference between Bridge and Lightroom?  Should I have them both?

    Hi MyYawrood,

If you plan to expand your files only camera raw, then no, you don't need both. Camera Raw, which bridge lance when you select a raw in Bridge file has the same characteristics as Lightroom.

That's where the similarity ends, however. Bridge is a file browser. You can organize and view the files on your hard drives connected. Bridge knows nothing about files that are not connected. Bridge can preview more Adobe files, regardless of the type of file and is a 'bridge' between applications. It will show also the icons for other types of files created in any application. Lightroom creates a database of a few image formats and knows about them, even if the disk they are on is in offline mode. It cannot handle most types of file formats, however. Lightroom has a robust for print production and publication Center. Bridge doesn't. Lightroom also has Mobile of Lightroom to make some fundamental changes to the photos on your phone or tablet. Bridge doesn't.

So if you need both depends on what you do on your computer. I absolutely use Bridge / Camera Raw/Photoshop and Lightroom/Lightroom Mobile.

  • What is Microsoft NET Framework programs and I can uninstall to get space, or are they important to the operating system and my pc works?

Microsoft NET Framework programs are indicated with a number in the box sizes when I go to the dialog box to uninstall but I don't know what they are and as they have Microsoft and NET in the titles, I think twice about uninstalling to win space in case they are something important. I have no idea what it is, never use it and if I don't need it would uninstall but I'm not sure I should because it might be important and actually run in the background while I use the pc for other tasks. Someone knows and can explain what are these programs? I appreciate it and appreciate help for an admitted car computer illiterate full below all new novice owner, trying to get the hang of it, but I'm trying! Thank you!

.NET framework components are required by many programs to work. They provide common functions for them.

Why do you need to "save space"? Programs do not take a lot of space given the size of modern readers. The values shown in programs and features, are unfortunately often inaccurate.

If you are new to computers, avoid changing the way Windows is set up. It's the surest way to cause you problems. Relax and enjoy using the programs you like instead of worrying about what's going on under the hood.

  • What is the difference between CC 64 bit Photoshop and Photoshop CC 2014?  I think I have them both on my machine

When I'm in Lighroom and click on change in and Photoshop select the option I get is Photoshop CC 2014.  However, the program that I have pinned to my taskbar is CC 64-bit Photoshop. What is the difference?  I guess that CC 64 bit is the most up-to-date or is it.  How can I change that Lightroom allows you to edit photos?

    Thank you

    Mike

Usually the last 6/2015 Lightroom edits by default in the CC 2014 module development > Photo > edit in...

However, in Lr preferences, you can choose another editor.

You must uninstall both of them and install the latest version of Flash, 17. https://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_17_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI & standalone = 1

  • MSE in comparison with Windows Defender? Should I have them both?

I'm already on Windows Defender is Microsoft Security Essentials?

Microsoft Security Essentials replaces WIndows Defender. It does much more than Windows Defender.

Are you already running an antivirus program? Microsoft Security Essentials can replace it. Do not run more than one antivirus program at the same time.

    Hello

I suggest you to remove any version of Microsoft .net Framework, because it could affect the performance of the operating system.

You can use the disk cleanup utility to free hard disk space. See the steps in the following article:

  • Net Framework 4.0 installation

If I install the last NET 4 it replaces all others or do I still need net framework 1.0 1.1 2.0 3.0 and 3.5 do I have to have all of them in order of running .net programs. This has always confused me and I end up having several different versions and service packs for .NET Framework is installed. Which ones should I really just run .net programs.

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
Installation of .net Framework 4.0 is not install all previous versions also. You must install all previous versions individually, if any program needs. For example. installation of .net Framework 4.0 does not solve the need for .net Framework 2.0; You need to install .net framework 2.0 separately. In addition, there is no restriction in the method of installation of .net Framework (that is, install the lower version, then install the highest version), but you can install any version at any time.
Service packs are essential as they are updated (for the most part, security) to existing versions.

This problem may occur if .net framework is corrupt.
