  • Photo Gallery Windows and Windows Live Photo Gallery will not open

Windows Photo Gallery does not open. This happened after trying to import images. Photo Gallery does not recognize the old photos so it would import duplicates, so I kept cancelling the process. Now it does not open. The blue circle goes as it will open up and then nothing happens. I downloaded Windows Live Photo Gallery, and it opens either. I have Windows Vista Home Premium version 6. On rare occasions, the gallery will open. What can I do? I read in this forum to rename the file, but it does not work. I did a system restore and that doesn't work anymore. Someone knows what can be done?

  • Windows Live Photo Gallery will not open error message on the files in offline mode

When I try to open Windows Live Photo Gallery, I get the following error message. "One or more files that are included in the Gallery picture is in offline mode and photo library prevents from start. Delete files using Windows Explorer Photo Gallery offline or ensure that all records are online and try to start Photo library. "I moved and deleted some files so I don't remember exactly what I had where it is impossible to define to where he was. I don't know how I can remove the folders offline using Windows Explorer, are there other options.

    You can try this,

  • Windows Live Photo Gallery Codec Host and COM Surrogate stopped working. How do fix you this?

When I try to use Windows Live Photo Gallery, the program opens, but then I get 2 two errors as shown below:

(1), Windows Live Photo Gallery Codec Host has stopped working
A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Please close the program
    (2) COM Surrogate has stopped working
A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
One of the error messages suggested that I go to Windows Update to see if I could get a fix it.  I tried a few times, but no luck.
I am running Windows Vista SP2 (32 bit) on a Gateway GM5474 computer.  I loved this machine and problems have been almost non-existent.  I set it up as a dual boot with Ubuntu Linux (11.04) machine as my other OS.  I'm not an expert, but I don't think it would affect the operation of this program, isn't it?
I also wanted to mention that the creation of Windows DVD works as well, but I'll get some help on this and if I find anything, I'll go back to Microsoft Answers for help.
I want to thank you in advance for your support.  I got the great help from you in the past.

  • "Import pictures and videos using Windows Live Photo Gallery" option is missing from AutoPlay in Windows 7 64 bit

I saw this question and answer:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7files/thread/5c567ab1-208D-400D-9bce-0598d43a0574

but I think I have a more serious problem. In Windows 7 RC, when I plugged in my camera or insert a memory card, I could choose "import pictures and videos using Windows Live Photo Gallery", but in my new installation of Windows 7 RTM, on which I have installed Windows Live Photo Gallery, there is no "Import pictures and videos using Windows Live Photo Gallery" option allotted me in the list of Control Panel AutoPlay or on the AutoPlay pop-up that appears when I plug in a camera.

How can I get that back? Without this option, I have to go through the manual steps tedious to execute WLPG and manually choose to import from there and say what is my camera. It was much better under Vista and Win7RC when I had the simple auto play option.

My PC is running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, but I also installed WLPG on two new computers Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit my parents, and they have exactly the same problem. Is this a known bug? Is there a solution?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

    Hello bitoclass,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers Site.

The Windows Live Photo Gallery import Option is not available from the AutoPlay on x 64 systems. Try the underside of work around to see this option.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

  • [FIXED] WL library error start error: Windows Live Photo Gallery encountered an error and cannot start. Error code: 0 x 80070035

Original title: error starting in WL photo library

    Hello guys,.

I use the photo gallery of WL (latest version) for some time, but one day it stopped working without remembering any important changes that might break a.

When I try to run it, it gives this error:

    ---------------------------
    Windows Live Photo Gallery
    ---------------------------
Windows Live Photo Gallery encountered an error and cannot start.

    Error code: 0 x 80070035
    ---------------------------
    Ok
    ---------------------------

I tried to reinstall it but without success. I've also renamed the files Pictures.pdX C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery, but with the same result.

Not to mention that the event log does not contain messages recorded on this subject and also the follow-up of the process with Process Monitor did not show anything that would tell me the cause of this problem...

If someone from the Live team or an MVP watch that I can send you the output monitor process or any other information that you might find useful.

Any other suggestions on what I can try next?

    Thank you!

    Chris

I'm waiting for the confirmation of the guys from the Live team on this, but I've corrected this problem.

The error came from the fact that Windows registry stalled Chronogram of some access roads network I had on my computer from a former WHS (Windows Home Server) box so basically, Windows Explorer - WL photo library was still trying reach these network paths, even if in Explorer / settings there is no references to WHS, so registry entries in neutral paths and wrong...

Replace the data of those key in the Windows registry under the HKEY CURRENT USER corrected this problem and I was able to start WL photo library.

  • Message from Windows Live Photo Gallery

Windows Live Photo Gallery - whenever he opens it asks if I want to open JXR files. I ticked the box "do not ask again", but apparently still every time. How can I get rid of him? What are the JXR files anyway?

If you don't have files JXR, in Windows Explorer, right-click one of them, then
Open with. You should be able to select WLPG right here.

  • Help! Trying to get iTune music files off Windows Live Photo Gallery, I swear that I never put there. Any ideas?

I don't remember adding iTunes for Windows Live Photo Gallery, but they're stuck there and will not allow me to remove them... and on iTunes... these music files move no matter how hard I try!

You must move your iTunes library to a non-default location
libraries folder structure so that they will not automatically be indexed.
