  Thanks for the link! In fact, I discovered that if I go to windows Explorer and type "basket" in the address bar, it will show me the contents of the cell, which is all I really need in the end.   You may not have to not remove the icon without the small arrow, its the original Recycle Bin on the desktop. One with a small arrow that indicates it is a short must be deleted.  It is easy to create a shortcut, right-click on the Recycle Bin > create a shortcut, another with a small arrow icon appears on the desktop.
