I lost the Office for an account I have when I tried to delete the password

I have Windows XP Home Edition.  I had two user accounts, one owner and an administrator, but I've only used the owner, I had given a password.  I saw a tip on how to remove the password for the signature requirement and thus lost the entire account.  More important still, I lost everything I had on my desk, including records very important.  Is there a way to get the account and back office?

Actually, I could connect is no longer on the account I "lost".   I therefore decided to rebuild what I lost by doing a search for all files that I had lost and change. This turns out be a mistake, because I was 'fixing' them.  In the middle of the night, I had the idea of just using the system restore, restore to the day before where I "lost" my account.  It worked.  I was back in business, but I lost some more recent information and feel the results of editing.  So I was patching up some losses.  But I guess I found my own answer. System Restore brought me back on the account that I had lost with all the files on my desktop safely returned.
