I need help opening Aspire R13 (R7 - 371T) to add additional SSD card.

How to open the bottom of the R13? I can't find any information on this anywhere. I tried it myself. With Acer, I confirmed that there are altogether 12 screws I could locate and remove. However, I tried to lift the cover and then remove without success. It comes off almost halfway in the middle of the longer sides of the top and bottom but everything seems still as if I'm going to break the plastic if I dig everything more difficult. Acer support just tells me to keep searching around the top until it comes off and when I tell it like it will break they default and say to take it to a technician. Help, please.

PS My apologies if you've already seen this question posted as a response to this post upgrade 1 TB SSD.

fat_owen,

There are no screws should be removed to remove this piece of hinge. You don't have to remove the keyboard or screen to access the internal components of the system. Once the hinge is removed, there are 12 tiny screws that need to be deleted to remove the tiny itself.

  • Help - best practices or guide line to add additional network cards.

    Hello...

I seem to have a problem with adding additional network adapters in the ESX 3.5 servers.

2 x patches up-to-date ESX Server 3.5 and HA Enabled.

Each server already contains 6 cards (3 x Dual port NIC)

I put 4 several NICs (2 x Dual port NIC)

I had a bad experience with the addition of additional network cards before, lose the console service and overall. (new numbering)

Somehow, I fixed that in fact separate old number and re-binder with new number assigned.

Is there a best practices or procedures in this respect?

Anyone can point me in right direction, URL, Blog or even simple command line to refresh my memory...?

    Thank you.

    It's easy:

    Remove the old nic:

    esxcfg-vswitch vSwitch0 - U vmnic2

    Add new:

    esxcfg-vswitch vSwitch0 vmnic1-L

  • I need help, open my NAT for an xbox 360 on a WRT160N v3

Hey guys. I just got a new wrt160N v3 and I need help on opening the NAT. I use to have the wrt160N v2 but I replaced it. so can you guys please help me. Thank you

Okay I found the solution myself. Here's what you do:

Open a Web browser and type your default gateway which is usually: 192.168.1.1

After you do this type in as the admin and the password admin its also admin once you open a session go in application and games and go to the subcategory "port range forwarding."

For the first set appliction Xbox1 and the beginning and the end, the port numbers are 88. The Protocol is both and the IP address must end at 120.

For the second application updated Xbox2 and the beginning and the end, the port numbers are 3074. The Protocol is both and the IP address must end at 120.

For the third set appliction Xbox3 and the beginning and the end, the port numbers are 53. The Protocol is borh and IP address must end at 120.

For the fourth request put Xbox4 and beginning and end, the port numbers are 80. The Protocol is both and the IP address must end at 120.

Save the settings and once you go back to the installation page, make your size MTU 1364. Save the settings and then go to security and uncheck the anonymous internet requests to filter. Save the settings.

Go to the administration tab, and then make sure that UPnP is enabled. If it is not, turn it on and save the settings.

Tour of your router and the modem. Wait a minute and plug the modem first. Once it starts up plug in the router and your NAT must be open for xbox live.

  • Need help, opening programs!

Everytime I open a program 'open with' box comes up and asks me to choose a program to open it with. When I try to restore the system, a message of system32 arrives. I bypassed the windows firewall to get the net to download its updates and I think this may have been at the root.

    Any ideas?

Assuming that it's just the affected application, it seems to me that if the 'path' to the executable file is damaged, or moved the file relative to the application.

What you can do is to try to locate the folder using the navigation.   First of all, try to identify where windows is waiting for the exe file by right-clicking the icon on the start menu (or the shortcut on the desktop that you normally use to open the application with.)  Select 'Properties' and now look at the "target".  This is where Windows expects the file and in your case it is not there, or maybe points to something completely different.

For example by using the "Paint" application for example, when I click on the shortcuts in the start menu, its properties tell me that the target path is:
'% SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe '.   The executable is the bit at the end - "mspaint.exe".

You must locate the correct executable file for your application.  If, for any reason, the application folder has been moved, you must specify the shortcut where 'look' and that it points to the new location where the exe file has moved.  Once you have done this, it will always open the correct application.

In my example, "Painting" is a component of microsoft windows, no is executable (mspaint.exe) is stored in the root of the folder c:\windows\system32 instead - that's where I get the ' exe ' of MSPaint.  If it isn't there or points to something other than mspaint.exe, I'll have to find where it is been moved to and tell windows to point to the correct exe file manually.

Thus, using 'Paint' for example: I click on the 'Paint' application in my Start menu but get the error you are describing - so I select 'Open with' and 'Browse '.  I then get to where I think that the place probably demand was initially installed and check that the exe file is present (and it's good!)

For MS PAINT, if I si je puis then select "Open file location", windows will browse to the parent folder and if the executable is here, you will be able to see it.  (Exe files normally (not always good) have a small icon to help identify it.  Now be careful here, because if you click on anything other than the correct executable file, which is then used by windows to launch the application from this moment - and of course, it never work again until you tell it to use the correct executable file.    It may be that this is the cause of your problem and, if you can see the correct executable file, just click to select it, click 'OK' and see if the app launches properly. If this isn't the case, read on.

Make a right-click on the start menu or the shortcut on the desktop to the app as above.   With the open 'Properties' box, identify the executable file of the target.  Now copy the executable name (so in my example, it would be mspaint.exe - and search for windows for that file.)   If windows can locate, note the location of the file.  Now go back to the start menu or desktop shortcut and click as if you go to the app.  When the 'Open with' error box appears, click 'Browse '.  You will then be able to search for parent of the applications folder and then down until you find the 'executable' (the file that ends with ".exe").  Double-click on the exe file (assuming you are certain that it is correct) and yer Uncle Bob!

Of course, if windows cannot find the app folder when you do a search, then it is likely that you (or a kid sister interference) has been removed and the file exe - or even the entire folder accidentally.  In this case, you need to reinstall the application.  I hope this helps.  Sorry it's a bit lengthy - thatere are other reasons of probs as happening as the other posters are probably notice.  Good luck!

  • Need help with identification card WiFi Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792G - 79 LX

I just got an Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7 - 792 G - 79 LX that I bought recently a few days ago. I'm not thrilled with Windows 10, so I installed Windows 7 x 64 on it, instead. I only had a chance, until I had to go to work (I drive a semitrailer tractor for a living, and I am currently on the road), to find Windows 7 drivers for the network Realtek card in it, and I now need to find Windows 7 x 64 drivers for the WiFi card. I need help to identify the make and model of the wireless card that my laptop has, because when I go to the Acer website and enter my serial number, then search for drivers, it lists drivers for WiFi cards of 4 or 5 and 2 different Bluetooth drivers.

I'm sure that my Nitro V17 has an Atheros WiFi Qualcomm card, and I found the information on another site (no Acer) that my card Atheros WiFi Qualcomm model number is NFA344.

Anyone can check that it is correct?

    Thank you!

  • R13 (R7 - 371T), Raid 0

I read many reviews which mention that the R13 is configured in Raid 0. I want to buy R 13 (R7 - 371 T-78UV), which indicate the 256 GB drive specifications. This means that this model will be accompanied by a single 256GB drive installed and I have the possibility to add an extra drive in the future in the slot that would have been used to setup for Raid 0? To be more precise, can I add another disk without Raid 0 setting such that I can get the benefit of additional hard disk space for the already 256GB available? I read a review that said that the operating system should be installed again in order to substitute a Raid 0 setting. I did not know that a Raid 0 could be set unless 2 discs were present, but then I'm a novice.

There is a correction to the original answer you provided to have 2 drives to 128 GB with a RAID 0 Configuration. The method has been done on Haswell based aspires. The model that I asked is the Broadwell Aspire model and comes with a single disc of Kingston256GB m2 (Kingston RBU-SNS8100S3256GD) that is customized for Acer after discussion with Kingston. In my view, that the dimensions of the Samsung model correspond to the Kingston so I should be able to clone the drive and use the disc more capacious. I guess I could wipe the Kingston and place it in the secondary location and use it as additional storage since I am not intereted in having a RAID 0 Configuration. Do you agree?

  • Fs9 not opening - identified problem but need help repair

I want to thank you in advance for your time. I am trying to install and play flight sim 2004 on windows 7 - a x 64 sys - and when I open fs9.exe splash screen or anything really fails to display.

I think that is the problem, is that there is no record of FS9, under the %appdata%\Windows\ that basically, I need help trying to solve. Is there anything I can download to replace this file? Or am I just looking in the wrong place.

Also, I installed it in a different directory, not the directory Program Files (x 86) but rather just C:\FlightSim\

    Hi Jordan,.

The game does not appear to be installed according to the description of your problem.

I suggest you log in as administrator or right click on fs9.exe file and run as administrator.

I think that this is precisely the reason why the FS9 folder does not appear in c:\users\explore \appdata\local\Microsoft\windows\game.

If this does not work, I suggest that you look into other aspects as well. Follow the steps below.

    Method 1:

Update display drivers . The flash on the screen could also be because the display drivers are not updated. I would recommend you visit the manufacturer, download and install the latest display drivers for windows 7.

    Method 2:

I suggest to disable UAC and then try to install the game.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. UAC notifies you when changes will be made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions. These types of changes can affect the security of your computer or can affect settings for other people who use the computer. We recommend that you leave UAC to help your computer course.

    Method 3:

Temporarily disable all security software and try to install.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the problem persists, then I suggest that you post the question in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Games Forum for further assistance.

  • I need help to Flash the bios. I have an Aspire 5810TZ. I start and it just says: "acer".

I need help to Flash the bios. I have an Aspire 5810TZ. I start and he just says "acer" and goes no further. I went to the download page for BIOS on us.acer.com and it has a zip file with 5 files:
    JM4151135.exe
    IN FLORIDA...
    GPC_V135.bin
    Readme.txt
    FLASH. BAT
What should I do? I tried to copy the files on a USB key and turn on/off with Fn + ESC key. After the release the power button and pressed Fn - Esc another screen appears after 30 seconds. I gave up and gave her 30 minutes but it does nothing. I read another person that should be flashing power button online. I have to rename one of the files. Help, please!

Aspire 5810TZ menu of frozen startup.

    I finally understand it.

I couldn't start a back b/c drive, it me did not start anything.

I followed this chain of logic:

-Downloaded the bios (2.35 is the one that worked for me)
-Find the exe file in the winflash file.
-Extract the files in archive exe using the 7-Zip program
-Find the .fd file and rename it to JM41X64. FD (I read in a forum was unique in my laptop)
-Copied JM41X64. FD and FLASH it is. EXE on a USB
-A the battery and the hard drive out.
-With its trendy diet I supported Fn + Esc and that you press the power button once while ensuring that the Fn + Esc has been always held down.
-J' waited 6 seconds and release the Fn + Esc and seen the flashing flash player
-After about 10 minutes, restarted the machine and the bios as like new.

Later, I found that there was a hard drive problem.

I want you guys should help more. All I needed was the name of the JM41X64 file. FD and you don't know how many hours I put into trying to find how simpy bios flash. It is not that difficult for someone with a b.s. in computer science to learn how. Couldn't we a m.s. back b/c the bios drive was messed up. F12 didn't work.
