The file will print well on my printer and when they sound proof in their printer there is no errors. So, why would they change for an Illustrator file and convert to curves? It seems that technology goes backward rather than forward for me.   You should not. You should find a printer that works in this century.

  That said, if another printer that is not an option for some reason, make sure that there is no transparency on EACH page, so you can use a parameter of flattening personalized setting to convert type to outlines during flattening (the only way to preserve things like points out, paragraph nets and automatic bullets and numbers).   I try to explain: with the ID, I would create a file with the text, tables, images with the text forms on them, etc... Now I have to export to PDF format and I want to turn the forms (sorry for the bad English, I'm Italian) into those to fill in PDF format. How can I do?

  Export the ID as an interactive PDF file.

  Open the PDF in Acrobat XI form, then:

  File > save as other > Reader Extended PDF > activate tools more (including fill & save)... Your users will be able to fill out the form and save it (assuming that they have later versions of the Acrobat Reader software).

  Be sure to keep a copy of your original PDF with a different file name because once you have created a form of PDF Reader enabled you cannot change it.

  I used Indesign for years without this problem...

  But I noticed recently that many of these images (PSD, TIFF, or JPEG) that I placed in Indesign files are exported as pixelated, versions low resolution when I export for printing (PDF/X-1).

  I tried different settings, but in each case, the image (which appears thin and sharp as seen in Indesign) came out like a pixelated mess blurred.

  This seems to have started happening in the past months.

  Vector graphics are fine.

  Anyone else having this problem?

  Or someone at - it a solution?

  Also use some PDF parameters where resolution is not sous-echantillonnees at all.

  Turn off downsampling.

  And I would like to test, when you export to PDF/X-4 would make to the resolution of the images.

  Just to know, if something is fundamentally wrong with your PDF export feature perhaps.

  InDesign does not have this capability. I think you need to use a catalog of plug-in that removed information in InDesign from a database that holds your pricing information.

  So I have this stamp and I want to make the fields in each box, so I can edit them? That would be on top of an existing PDF document. Is this possible? I tried to create the stamp as an another 'form', but the fields are not editable once you create the stamp on the final pdf. Any help is very appreciated!

  

  It is not possible to edit stamps as soon as they are applied. You can add fields for the stamp and then prompts the user to enter their values just before the buffer is applied, but not thereafter. It is a very complex, however. Search these forums for "dynamic stamps" for more information.

  Just save it as a template.  Type your editable content, then press ctrl + s.  On the bottom there are a dropdown menu that says 'Save as type'.  Click on it and select Word or Excel Template.

  If you want to delete this page, but leave it on the master page, Ctrl (win) cmd (mac) + shift-click above to replace it on the page and you can remove it.

  If you create a PDF file from an image, it is always a picture, and you cannot change it.

  If the image contains text, then you need to perform the text recognition (OCR) before you can actually change the text.  Acrobat can do that.

  Hi all, since the anni update I was unable to print PDFS from InDesign. No matter if I put PDF for default printer or use the option "Microsoft in PDF format; what I get is: "printing error: Adobe Print Engine failed at the end of your data due to an unknown problem. Sometimes it will print a little less than half of a 60-page document and that's all - it fails (but I get a PDF of that half...). Sometimes, it just goes straight to the error.

  Anyone know what is happening on our how to fix? I have a deadline...

  Hi Dov, thanks for the reply. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I use export when I want to send it to the printing press. However, at this point, I am willing to create a test that is reduced file size and allows me to put all 60 pages of the document in a gap of seven pages using the print option of 3 x 3 thumbnails per page. It gives me a manageable file to send to several people for the document of proof and, at this stage, the output of high quality is not necessary.

  However, I seem to have solved my problem:

  As mentioned, the document prints 1-27 on a 60 page document (print, failed on page 28).

  The paper would not print the range 27-60, when I tried later.

  The document will print 30-60 range.

  Therefore, the problem lies in pages 27 and 28. I've got rid of the pdf linked to two pages and tried work a print - it worked. then, of course, my problem lies in one of the PDFs linked to each page 27 or 28. It turns out that when I opened the linked PDF (sent to me as a PDF from another company as an advertisement) on page 28 in PS, PS automatically rasterized image, I recorded to a location different, re-related in InDesign, and guess what - it worked. I got the impression that I asked who had already failed.

  So, this boiled down to a single work of art linked PDF requiring a pixelation...
