• I can create forms in the designer, but when I use a data model, I can't interact with the form

  In LiveCycle Designer ES2 I can create a form and then preview and interact with the form.

  This guess I just build objects by dragging the pieces pre-made object on the form (for example, text field) - which I can name, wrap in subforms something - I can add actions and all is well.  When I preview the PDF, I can enter data in the fields, click on the radio buttons, making things appear that everything is great.

  But LC ES2 is based on the data driven development model by, so in my case I need a form guide as well as the form - so it's better to have a model of data created in the first place - and then create the form based on the data model - then build guide form based on the data model - it is also a good idea, and I'm cool with that.

  My problem is that when I'm building a data model (just for a quick and dirty development demo, not associated with services back-end or databases) and I create the form based on the data model - I can't interact with all objects in the preview pane form - further when I launch the workspace and call my process that contains the form - I even can't interact with the form.

  What I am doing wrong?

  You do not hurt anuthing. It works as advertised. When you generate a Guide and work with a fml data model designer you will only create a static non-fillable PDF file. This is because when you import the model in the designer of the model must be turned in a schema. The schema may not represent constraints and validations can be encoded in the model. The only thing that can be maintained is the structure, so Designer forbids you to buidl an interactive form.

  If you know what you're doing, you could take the data it is generated from the Guide and merge on a XDP template file that you create (unless he models in a first time - you can use the sample XML data as a starting point) using LC forms. Edowmside, is that if there are constraints and rules you would have to code them in the model as well. That's the way it is now there, but it will improve over time, as more of the ability of the model is exposed to the XFA world.

  From now on, there is no function to save e-mail addresses for documents being sent for signature. But yes as a solution, if you want, you can create a Widget and can set the four fixed contre-signataires when creating (which will sign once the first signatory variable sign).

I saved it as a PDF file, but I can't seem to give me the possibility to insert into the document.  Help!  I hate this new update.   Can I know which application you use currently and what OS? If you are using Acrobat Reader DC and you want to use your signature that you have scanned in the form of handwritten image then you can do service fill & sign.

  Open the PDF in Reader DC.

  Since the right set of tools, click Fill & sign

  You will get tools up to the Center just above the document

  Click the sign on the right

  Select "Add a Signature" from the menu drop-down

  This will give you the window where you can type your signature, draw it or use a picture

  Click on the Image and choose your signature on your computer and sign the document.

  I tried to use fill & sign on a PDF that I had to fill... but when you select the file I get an error message: change in restrictions - not supported. But I don't see what the problem is. The PDF allows you to fill out and sign... see attached screenshot. How can I know what is the problem?

  The PDF is secured with password.  Fill & sign does not yet support the opening of a protected password file.

• I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro XI through Dell, the it - installed but the Basic program starts not even - the only thing I can do is open the forms - I'm tired of working with foreign personnel to solve my problems can someone seated?

  2 weeks as my hard drive (XPS18) locked Windows me - I could not go to a restore point, I couldn't do anything.  So I had to start from scratch - re-load the operating system - windows 8.1 Pro 8.1.  Then it is time for reloading MS Office 2013 - I got my Dell/MS product key - but had to get involved Microsoft (do whatever they did) to allow me to put it back in my current product key.  All resolved, then is the time to go to my Adobe product - I've contacted Dell and I shared the purchase and shipment showing slip $ 299.00 for the Adobe product.  I assumed that it is in my digital library - I could not find any digital library - so I called the customer support number (Overseas) and they couldn't help me.  Bottom line, I paid for an installed electronic product and don't have no way to access to re - load.  After several days and calls - I am at my last appeal on October 23 in the morning - bottom line the tech rep could not find any information on my Adobe product.  In order for me to get my business online, I ended up buying another Adobe product price still an another $ $299,00.  Yes, it was a new version of what I had, but again he did have to pay full price, even if it's an upgrade, then after installation, integration, and the Fund - I asked for documentation for the Adobe product and the license key.  He said "do not worry about this, all you have to do is call the customer service number and we will help you" - well this isn't enough for me - because you can see above what happened earlier and I am complete was dissatisfied with the results.   I've been a long-time buyer/user and believe in the Dell product - but the service the customer to your loyal customers really sucks!  As a consumer of your product (s), all that I pay because I should receive the required documentation, the numbers of license and any information related to that hardware, software and firmware - I should have a way to access.

• 2 values can be added to a drop-down list item?

  I probably need to explain what it is I'm doing first. It could even impossible the way I'm doing it. So if there's a better way, please do help. But I try to have items listed in a drop-down list. More precisely the elements that are of different lengths with different numbers. I have been using the value of the elements to do simple calculations to work. But I also want it so that once an item is selected the item to a list of material later in the form printed. I'm sure I can set the value of the element as the item number and I the number displayed next to the item (in another column) later in the order form. But I want to be able to always perform the calculations in the subform where is the original drop-down list. Is it possible to assign 2 values (one for use with calculations) and one for use as an item number? Or is there a better way to do what I'm doing? I know I could just name the list drop-down list item and contain the number of point in the name using addItem. But I don't want to confuse the user with numbers, they did not need to see. Only the person who sells the materials needs to know the number of points, not the user.

  Think - the behavior is expected because the values specified in the binding tab lead the overall binding for the drop down menus.

  So if the first dropdown the text resulting from elements such as the display values AND the second dropdown has numbers of items like display settings - then it will work. As long as the two drop-down lists have the same number of elements and sequence in the specified values is the same.

  This means that you must keep two drop-down lists.

  It may be a good idea to have the second dropdown (numbers) configured to read only so that the user cannot interact with it.

  I think the problem is that you have lots of instances of objects with the same name. This is indicated by the [0] after the name of the object. This makes it more difficult (not impossible, but more annoying).

  Basically, first try to rename the items so that each has a unique name. Then refer to them in the script.

  If you keep with multiple objects with the same name, then you will need to explicitly tell Acrobat which object you want the script to deal with. This is called solving the node and might look like this (for example depends on the structure of your form):

  xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.DropDownList1[0]")

  This would apply to all objects in your script that have the same name as other objects in the form.

  Try to name the objects as you go, so that you don't have to change the script later.

• Problem: InDesign CC, I can't click any menu drop-down menu, or click in the fields

  Just installed and updated InDesign CC on win7 x 64. In the dialog boxes. If I want to click with the mouse to say on a drop down menu to change inches. Nothing happens. Also if I try to click in a field to type a value. nothing. Ditto for up or down arrows next to the frozen fields.completely value when it comes to mouse clicks.

  I can use the tab key to jump everywhere and of input values. But it is a deal killer for productivity. This problem is also on the tool bar if I want to change the font, size etc.

  One of the reasons could be: you set the text size to 150% or more in Windows 7 display controls. Set it to 125% (control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display) and it will begin to work... Boring, I know... but this is how it works.
