I try to copy the files and folders on drive D in my computer, but I get an indication that I need to insert a disk. The problem is that I have a disc inserted
How can I get the computer to recognize a cisd in the drive?
Hello
Have you tried using other CD? If he keeps asking to insert a disc, it could be either your hard drive has failed, or is not a CD burner, or on the CD that you inserted is damaged.

Try to select a different default printer and then back to the right printer and reset it by default and see if that helps.

files and folders invisible after the attack of virus on the external HARD disk
I have an external Seagate 500 GB HDD.
Yesterday I plugged on my friend's laptop computer, but her laptop has been attacked. I didn't know it. so I just copied the files on my HARD drive.
After connecting the HARD drive to my laptop, I've scanned several times, but only one file or folder is not visible in it. And I checked the properties, its display used and remaining memory on the HARD drive.
Not what happened? I want historical data... How can I make them visible?
Help, please...Hi Muralidharpattar,
This problem normally occurs when permission for files/folders have been modified and may be hidden.
Method 1: We will connect the hard drive and try to check if files and folders are hidden or not.
Show hidden files
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=Windows-7
Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you analyze the external hard drive to see if it is operated by the virus and malwares. If you have any antivirus program that is not built, you can run scanning using it. If this isn't the case, you can use the provided scanner.
Step 1:
Start your computer in safe mode and check the number.
To start your computer in safe mode

Step 2:
Run a scan antivirus on your computer.

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, there is a risk of data loss because infected files will be deleted.Hope this information helps. Response with status so that we can help you. -
Delete the file mpasdlta.vdm and mpengine.dll files and folders
I use Vista Home Premium (32-bit and 64-bit) on three computers. Starting last August, the files and folders listed above associated began to appear on one of my computers. According to Google, they are related to Microsoft Malware Protection, a piece of software that I have installed. Records are now moved to six in total, and used storage space is more than 800 MB. If I try to delete these files and folders, I'm told that I don't have permission. (I am the only user of my computers and I have administrator privileges). I started in safe mode, but get the same message of refusal.
I looked at my software through the Control Panel-programs and features, but can not find such a program malware installed. Given that these files do not appear on my other two computers configured in the same way, should not be needed. How can I get rid of this mess, which continues to develop?
Thanks in advance for any sober.
Gordon

To give the control is a two-step process. Take ownership and then to give permissions.
Owner of a file allows the owner to change permissions even if they do not have the authorization to do so. It's the only thing that made property.
You must then give you permission to delete the folder.
In order to remove "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates" for example.
-----------------------------------------------
Click Start - all programs - Accessories - Command Prompt right click and choose run as administrator. Typetakeown /f "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition updates" / a/r

Hi everyone, auggy,
I really hope you can help me with a problem I have on a single workstation at my office. It is an accumulation of 32-bit Windows 7 running MS Office 2010 Standard. It differs from other generations in our office because it is used by the head of the team of our accounts, and so it has a number of custom pieces of software that she only needs access (payroll software, etc.).
All the basic features of the computers seem to be well, except the two following, and I would really like to help get to the bottom of it.
(1) process explorer error when you try to browse the files and folders of BES.
I can call Windows Explorer absolutely perfect and be sailing away on his machine, and then suddenly the process explore will die, with the following error: -.

I can start windows Explorer, and it will happen again--it's a repetitive event.
(2) Internet Explorer AppHangB1 when you try to attach files to download
I think that these two errors may actually be related, like IE (and Chrome as well by the way, this be why I think that the two issues are related) works fine, until I just any type of site where I need to download a file. This happened in the light, as our Chief of accounts needs to download a flat file in a room online banking software. What's going to happen (and, again, this can be repeated as needed) is: -.
(a) you need to click on which will generally be a "Browse" button
(b) a traditional dialog box opens, but instead which allows you to navigate to the location and select the folder you want, he immediately greys out as if the process explore is falling.
(c) shortly after, the following error is returned: -.

Hi auggy, Andy,.
Well... in a way, I am very disappointed, but we will respond to it.
Andy, I checked and iCloud, Control Panel has not been installed on its terminal, but thank you very much for suggesting it :)
auggi, when I got back on my colleague's PC, I thought I would test to see if the feature didn't always before considering saving data dumps etc, and it worked fine!
I left it overnight with instructions for the lady who uses the PC to test this morning and see if it's all workers, and it is still, it seems that the fix does not immediately solve the problem of browser, but there later - maybe after a second reboot or something... very strange!
In all case, this matter can now be considered closed, so all that remains for me to say thank you very much for your help, you are amazing :)
All the best, very, very,.

Original title: portable destroyed - need for car access
I don't know if this is the right forum - please advice if it is not.
My friend's laptop computer was destroyed in a car accident. I pulled the drive and placed it in my desktop XP system and the drive appear in good health. However, I received permission issues trying to access records on the disk and thought that it was because of me using Win XP and the laptop was Win7x64. My questions below are based on the assumption that I'm not able to access these files on my Win XP system. If this assumption is incorrect, so please let me know.
I have a laptop that I don't use and put the disk in it. I was hoping it would be plug and play all the new material, but after reading a little online, I know that this is not the best thing to do and will probably not work as did the earlier versions of Windows.
In the end, I care retrieves the contents of the disc, although it would be great if I could lend my laptop for a few weeks with "its files" until it sorts how to replace the laptop.
Can I get the player Win7x64 working on the laptop computer of replacement by reinstalling Win7x64 on this laptop? I'm not "means a clean install/reformat, but have rather the Setup program detects an existing installation, and do its magic to get the operating system runs on new hardware?"
I know that this raises questions of MS licenses. If the installation process could get his old system running on the laptop replacement, if I have a small window of time completely to access his files before being forced to re-register the OS? I'm hoping so.
I'm looking for only a short-term solution - I do not recommend that he hopes that drive long term because the laptop got quite truncated of the accident, and once he gets a new laptop it will have everything he needs on this subject (OS, licenses, etc.). If I have a small window of time where I can simply copy their important files, or to lend him my laptop with its player and him can bring to its domestic network and the print out of all the things that are important, that it's going to be all together to move them to a new laptop when it is available.
Thank you
Hello
You experience this problem because of the permissions applied to these s folder. To resolve this problem, you will need to take ownership of these files and folders.
Method 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the link below to take possession of the records
Troubleshoot "access denied" when opening files or folders
(Article above applies to Windows Vista, not valid for Windows XP)
Also check out the article below
How to capture a file or a folder in Windows XP
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/308421Method 2: You can try a custom installation (not a format\clean facility).
See the link below for custom installation
using the install option custom without formatting the hard driveNote: In custom installation only data would be transferred in Windows. Drivers, applications and the old folder will need to be reinstalled.
