I want bookmarks to open new tabs, but not move them immediately

When I used chrome, I could control click on bookmarks in the bookmarks bar and they would open in new tabs, but it wouldn't switch to the tab immediately (it would load it however). However, in Firefox, when you control click on bookmark, it switches automatically to the new tab. Is it possible to change this?

I tried turning the 'Tabs' which means that the new tabs open from within a Web page are not switched on immediately, but this seems to have no effect on the bookmarks.

Hello alexthegreat7, if you please, try the following:
enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground. Double-click it and change its realvalue, then Favorites should not receive focus immediately when you click or Ctrl-click on them...
