I want to delete an unused account (NOT the "Local"), and his file that accompanies it.

Time of this account, and I don't use it again. Whenever I connect to Thunderbird, I was entering a password for it. Do I have to delete the account through my e-mail provider (earthlink.net)?

InThunderbird:

  • Move all e-mail messages, you want to keep records of accounts to "local folders".
  • Switch to offline mode.
  • Open the account settings.
  • Mark the account you want to get rid of.
  • At the bottom of the account pane there is a button shares account
  • Make sure you have just marked account then delete account

Only reason to open this account on server would be to clean.
