  Jut a little word. If it is a retail version of Windows 7, you should be OK, but if it's a version of Windows 7 OEM then the license died when the machine does.

  Application of e-mail using?  Windows XP means you can use Outlook Express-, but it IMPLIES only that.  You can check your email using a web browser.

  You can change your settings where only those in your address book can get e-mail in your Inbox.  It is one of the most extreme methods.

I use 1Password to store all my passwords, so I'm cut and paste right into the dialog box so I know it's good (I also tried to type in there just in case cut and paste somehow corrupted it).

  (3) just for the heck of it, I went into my router and disabled the firewall here, but nothing helps.

  (4) when I ping imap.mail.yahoo.com of the command line there is no package of problems / deleted.
