Icons buttons on a toolbar
I may have missed something, but someone can you please provide a simple example of how to create a toolbar where the buttons are square and contain only icons? I want to create something similar to the toolbars of the icon buttons in NetBeans. I can't find a way using code and/or css. Thanks in advance for any help.I want the buttons behave like those of NetBeans which is triggered when the mouse points and a visible 'click' of when you press the left button of the mouse.
If you apply the following style sheet, you will get something a little more closely the style of button of NetBeans.
.button {
-fx-skin: "com.sun.javafx.scene.control.skin.ButtonSkin";
-fx-background-color: transparent;
-fx-background-insets: 0 0 -1 0, 0, 1, 2;
-fx-background-radius: 0;
-fx-padding: 0.166667em 0.833333em 0.25em 0.833333em; /* 2 10 3 10 */
-fx-text-fill: -fx-text-base-color;
-fx-alignment: CENTER;
-fx-content-display: CENTER;
}
.button:focused {
-fx-color: -fx-focused-base;
}
.button:hover {
-fx-background-color: -fx-shadow-highlight-color, -fx-outer-border, -fx-inner-border, -fx-body-color;
-fx-color: -fx-hover-base;
}
.button:armed {
-fx-effect: innershadow( three-pass-box, derive(-fx-pressed-base, -30%), 10 , 0 , 0 , 0 );
}
You can consult the reference guide http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/api/javafx/scene/doc-files/cssref.html and play with it a little more to get the exact look you want.

I've recently updated to FF31 FF28. Totally different user interface, I get that. I waited to update until I psych myself to try something different. I have the default theme Australis and Noia Fox Theme, which is designed with the larger icons/buttons for those with Visual needs. On my screen at this moment, I have the title bar, menu bar, tab bar and toolbar url/addon with the menu "Burger" on the right. I placed icons in the bar of menus, kept the House icon in the bar of the addon, and then there are the default icons in the menu popup. When I activate the Noia Fox Theme, look great icons in the addon/url bar, even in the popup menu; clear, large, easy to see. However, the icons in the menu bar (not the menu popup) are less than half their size origin/destination. So I'm going to default Australis theme, reboot and same problem, but not quite as dramatic as the default theme is smaller at first.
My thought then, is that there is a setting in the menu bar which resizes the icons/buttons for a small default size. This setting can be changed to allow icons to keep their size original (or near it) and if so, how? I like the location of the menu bar on my screen, underneath the title bar above the tabs bar. Works very well with the new Fox only better addon that attaches to the tab bar and mask the url bar, a 'new' for me and I love him. I know that I can get the CTR with an additional bar and I tried that. The question, then, is that the extra bar appears below the tab bar and that it is not moveable to above the bar below the title bar and tabs.
For the moment, I have just the two themes, security addons added and The Fox but better. I haven't added any other addons of appearance again in order to minimize potential conflicts/problems. I have not tinkered with internal FF by default not to follow the other parameters to tell me (I think that's what I did). To the best of my knowledge limited, I kept the changes and customizations to a minimum. And Yes, by your feature of conjecture to posted questions, I'm under Win 8.1 and 31 FF.
I think I've offered sufficient detail so that others may try to reproduce the problem. Otherwise, let me know and I'll try to answer as soon as I can. Thank you very much for any help offered.

You can also try code like this that I posted before on icons placed on the menu bar:
#toolbar-menubar > toolbarbutton > .toolbarbutton-icon { height:24px!important; width:24px!important; margin:-3px!important; }

See my original question and suggestion madperson apt, above.
I was happy; his suggestion worked. I printed from a Web site.
So, imagine my chagrin when, after having thanked by message, I found the icon "printer-s".
had disappeared since BOTH my toolbar AND the "Control Panel to customize Firefox' choice of icons.
Someone at - it another good suggestion?You can find print a button in the toolbar palette and drag the button to a toolbar.

When you browse videos "Get menu started", they point to a firefox icon/button at the top left of the screen. They use this button for a menu to synchronize dropdown using private browsing and so on. It never is. What should I do to put the question on the screen?
You will see the Firefox button if the menu bar is hidden (view > toolbars or Firefox > Options).

I can't identify a button on the toolbar.
The button looks like a circle. In the center of the circle is a double arrow pointing to the right. The circle is composed of 4 segments 2 black and 2 red. The button is located on the right side of the toolbar - to the right of the search box. Unlike all other buttons on the toolbar, a ToolTip does not appear when I have point to the button. When you customize the toolbar, I can't move or delete button. Nothing seems to happen when I click it - except that the image of the button changes. When you click on it, it looks like an 'x' was overlaid on the button and colours in the change of button in black and white.
Sorry, I don't recognize it, maybe someone else will.
I just thought of another way you might be able to identify who is seeing that there is no ToolTip that appears in the overview, open mode customize and change the element display in the lower left corner of the palette to icons and text. That show another "title" than would the missing ToolTip (although some add-on developers use the same wording for both).

Was having a hard time finding this icon in IE8 as well. I usually use Firefox and you can not miss on this browser. IE8 is a completely different story.
In IE8, it's on the toolbar at the same level as all the tabs. To the right of the home menu of the Page, the printer icon icon, etc., you will see two small signs "superior to" (> >). Click left them and the icon to launch the smart Web printing will be in a 'drop-down '. Click on it and it will open the Clip book.
If it had been a snake it would have bit me...
I got to this post in the forum because I'll forget where it is then few I use IE8. Now, I'll be able to search for my own post!
Hope this helps someone.
If you want to access the icon right-click on toolbar Customize, click Add or remove commands, then you can move the icon of swp HP in the list then it will always show up on your toolbar or you can remove some of those that you do not use (as perhaps RSS) this way you will have not to click on the double arrows and click the drop-down menu when you want.

How to make a favorite button in the toolbar. MSN has a favorite yellow button in the toolbar
I don't see a Favorites button in the toolbar
There is a star as the button next to the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to bookmark the current web page and a "Show bookmarks" button next to it to open bookmarks in a menu drop-down.
You can find "Show all bookmarks" to open the Manager of bookmarks (library) at the top of the drop-down list.
If you bookmark a page and then 'Bookmark this Page' in the bookmarks menu as well as the ToolTip changes star in "Edit this bookmark", and the star is highlighted in blue.

Resizing of the buttons on the toolbar disappear after the browser window
When I run my browser all the buttons on the toolbar are in place.
When I resize my browser window to make it smaller, these buttons to collapse to a "arrow":
But when I resize my browser window to make it larger or maximize the browser window, these buttons won't reappear soon whatever I do next.
The only thing that helps is to close the browser and run it again.
Possible causes are extensions that required, information or other content of text in the Navigation toolbar.
You can try to move some of the buttons that are provided by an extension temporarily to a different toolbar to test this. -
Can I remove the buttons on the toolbar
I would like to delete the news, finance, flicker, Cup and several other buttons on the toolbar. Can I do this?
You can click on bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar and to delete them via the context menu or hide this toolbar completely (Firefox > Options or view > toolbars).
You can open the Customize and drag the button added by extensions out of the toolbar to remove them.

I had an existing laters 3 point what Firefox and recently upgraded version upgraded to Firefox 10. This new version has still the old toolbar at the top, but there is no button "Firefox" that one has to use to activate certain actions such as "private browsing". Is there anyway I can install the button in the toolbar, or is it possible to change to the new interface of version 10 which includes the Firefox Button. I prefer the old (the old configuration with the toolbar on top, but if that can't do, how to migrate to the new configuration that apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks for any help you can provide. I have Windows XP.If you have the toolbar to the former, you can always go to private browsing by clicking on tools, then on 'Start private browsing'. All located in the Firefox button options in the old-style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.
To activate you button Firefox, go to view, then toolbars, then uncheck "menu bar". You should have the Firefox button.

I have upgraded to Firefox 8 and can not get a home button on my toolbar
It doesn't seem to be an option to add a button to the toolbar. It isn't even a home button listed under the menu button customization.
I couldn't find it no more, but it's more to the right instead of on the left, it's a small house.

How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.
First of all, if you have the menu bar show. (File-Edit-View-History-Bookmarks-Tools-Help), then you won't see the orange FireFox button because in the new version of FireFox button replaces the menu bar. You can believe that's the way you want by clicking on 'View', then place your cursor over "Toolbars" and check or uncheck menu bar. If you have the display on menu bar, click on 'View' then drag down to "Toolbars", then descend to the right and go to 'customize '; a click on it. Then, when the next screen appears, even if 'Reload' is not displayed on this topic, it appears somewhere upwards in your toolbar. (Mine was above the Google search box). Put your cursor on it and drag-and - drop to the left of your address bar. The "Stop" button should be left more than the button 'recharge' in order to get two separate buttons for these tasks. If the 'Reload' button is further to the left, then you get a single button that performs the tasks at the same time. I hope this helps.

I try to get as many items as possible on the bookmarks menu bar (usually via 3 letter names). F4 adds an icon next to each name - occupy unnecessary space. How, please, can I get rid of the icons in the bookmarks toolbar so I have space for several names of bookmarks? Thank you.
